The resort was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was clean and they really showed me love for my birthday. Much appreciated. The food the drinks the dancing the fun it was everything I could have imagined and more.
When guest arrive an itinerary for the week should be available. Information for restaurants should also be available and any activities should be available at the desk daily. This will help guest navigate throughout the resort and better plan their day. Also the WiFi is awful.

Choices restaurant is 4/5 for us then the Italian, French an the Asian 🙌🏽 there’s love the scenery and ambience at nights, the entertainment etc👏🏽
The rooms could have better decorated. The mattresses should have been a firmer. You guys need to review the curtains, and furnitures and upgrade then accordingly, because not all rooms will deteriorate at the same pace.
4.3
The beach and the food, mostly.
The property is dated and has no air conditioning is most areas. There wasn’t a lot of entertainment as well.
4.3
Breakfast was good. Lunch and dinner didn’t meet expectations. Pools were good. Beach was almost nonexistent.
Quality of food needs improvement. Poor.Had to change rooms due to noise. New room definitely did not have the expected view( hidden by palm tree). No hot water the first night so unable to bathe or shower.
Room phone not working. Entertainment was below average except for the steel band that was great. Not what I am accustomed to seeing or hearing for the cost. Room was not as described on line. Beach was very small.Food overall was like a cheap buffet or a Golden Corral.

I enjoyed the beach and the great service from Stacey-Ann.
The facility was clean along with my room.
I received outstanding service from some employees in Choicez, Martenio, O'Brien, and a few others who I cannot recall their names.
These employees should be the role models and get the opportunity to train the unpleasant ones.
I did not appreciate the attitude from some of the staff. The older gentleman in the jerk hut was very hoggish and rude in the way he spoke to me , but when a white customer came to order, he was very polite and accommodating. Totally different attitude to the white man.
I noticed that during the 5 days I was there, a lot of the staff had a different attitude towards me as a black person versus the nice polite behavior towards the white patrons.
I paid quite a bit of money for my trip and I expected much better service.
My husband and I have stayed at Zilara for many years, and we have never had any complaints and never any issues with staff.
It was always an excitement to have breakfast at Choicez in the mornings. I was always surprised with the many tasty Jamaican dishes.
This time around, I stayed at Ziva.
The food at Choicez was super disappointing, not many tasty Jamaican dishes due to the fact that Southern dishes like grits and Indian dishes were added to the menu.
My family and I paid good money to go to Jamaica to enjoy the many different foods and enjoy the authenticity of the culture. I felt as if I was in America/India.
The few Janaican dishes I had, like the callaloo, which was there every day and very salty, the steam cabbage every day, the ackee and salt fish taste horrible, my utmost favourites dumplings and festivals taste as though it was first timers made them, hard and no taste.
The short cook making ommlettes, his body language, and attitude displayed he did not want to be there, but it's his bread and butter, so no choice .
The entertainment was very disappointing. I expected to see local s performing and show casing the Jamaican culture.
I expected to hear a lot more Reggae, at one point, I thought I was home in Canada, but it was the wonderful warm temperature that I realized I was in Jamaica.
People go to Jamaica to get everything Jamaican, and that was certainly not present.

I like the check in process, very short and easy. no long waiting, not many papers to sign. I like the different restaurants and room service. Very nice hotel and i will definitely be back
there wasnt any much nightly entertainment. expected more nightly entertainment.

The food was really good for buffet style. They had a nice variety of options including vegan. They had live music in the evenings which was nice. Everyone was very friendly.
I wasn't aware you had to make reservations for the specialty restaurants before I got there so we didn't get to try any since we were only there for an extended weekend.

Nothing
Everything sucked

Very beautiful!
Liquor is watered down. The ceiling of our hotel room started to drip water randomly. Our belongings were completely wet.
4.3
Beautiful ocean views and facilities where very nice
Food could have been better . Especially room service
4.3
We used the buffete most times for meals ,but felt te variety was not there.
more options at meal.
4.3
Everyone was very nice
That they had just about the same food out every day
4.3
Beautiful, all inclusive, lots off food options
More entertainment needed (clubs, etc), the sofa bed in my room was horrible. It felt like sleeping on a rock. When we arrived, we didn’t have any sheets or pillows for the sofa bed in the room. I had to call the front desk, however in fairness they did respond quickly.

Location was great! Staff was wonderful and accommodating.
Food options for the buffet could be better, as many of the same dishes served at lunch are served at dinner. However, you may make reservations at restaurants on the property for dinner to negate this problem.
4.3
clean modern and plenty of places to sit and relax

Food was really good, staff were professional and courteous and also very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
Night life could be extended beyond 10 pm

Everything was excellent. From the staff, food, accommodations, things, ambiance, activities. This place is 5 stars!!!
Wish we could have stayed longer! Nothing negative about this place!

Spacious rooms, delicious buffet , friendly stuff good location for Jamaica outside resort exploring. Drivers available very safe .

high end and great for family.
reservations for restaurant was quite painful and need to be streamlined to avoid disappointment

It's a beautiful property, the facilities are new and upscale, and the food is very good (at all restaurants except Calypso Bar).
It was also wonderful that they organize activities - pickleball and ping pong competitions, shows, etc. I have not seen that at other Hyatts, and it's a great innovation.
The staff attitude was not good. It was as if their goal is to police and order around guests instead of helping them. In the first couple hours of arrival, we were told three times we were doing something wrong! For example, you come up to a bar to ask for water, the bar has 3 open sides, with 3 barmen inside and no customers. Yet we were told to order from a different "window" / side of the bar - and it was in a non-inclusive so we had to do that to just get a free bottle of water! This type of attitude was absolutely everywhere. What a shame, it's such a beautiful property.
Another issue is room cleaning. One day they cleaned the main room but forgot to clean the bathroom. Another day they forgot to give us hand towels and the floor mat...

Truly great medical support during our stay. Also, appreciated the ability to spend extra for better wine.
Where to start. Staff were mostly unfriendly (with few exceptions). Kid's club was understaffed (two persons for a group exceeding 10 kids). Restaurants mostly buffet, with always the same buffet. Far too few sun loungers for hotel guests, causing fights over sun loungers. Noise at the pool. Lack of kid's facilities (not even a kid's pool). Very poor housekeeping, had to complain four times on the first day to get our room cleaned at all. No clothes cleaning service.
This is nowhere near a five-star hotel. Roughly our stay felt like a below-average four-star. We feel the 5star rating on Bookings.com is fraudulent.
