Everything was extraordinary and amazing
The staff at the pool bar are not very attentive and slow.
They should do much better for a hotel like this.
- lack of free coffee & tea in the room

Location at the Marina was excellent and there is a variety of top quality restaurants in the area. Also a quick 10 minute drive to Kotor.

Location and design of property
They don't have enough employees. There is only one waitress on the pool area. We were in loby cafe for one hour and no one came to ask us if we want to drink something. We could not reach room service, we were told several times that they are too occupied. We were also told that main restorant is completely reserved for dinner and yet we were alone the hole night. Hostess is very unprofessional, waiter was very kind.

Exceptional service. I typically pre-arrange some trips, but used the concierge a few times on this visit, and they were superb. Private boat out to Perast at very short notice was the highlight. Check in was not fast, but didn't care; it was an experience in itself - fresh rose water, great advice from the desk etc.
Pool area was great and not too crowded, despite July.
Lots of nearby nice eateries with waterfront seating.
Small gym for a hotel this size. Breakfast was okay but not great - the a la carte good only if eggs are your thing. More buffet options at a typical UK Premier Inn :)
The location is a decent base, but if I returned, would stay in more 'authentic' nearby old towns. This is very much elite / pseudo-elite fare - lots of designer-wear-for-breakfast folks.
Traffic is a real problem - likely only for July/Aug - so going to Kotor/Perast/Budva and similar will take an hour and more by taxi. There is the (expensive) personal boat option, with advance notice.

Loved the location. The concierge was very helpful. The room and bathroom was very large and comfortable. Loved the bed, comforter and pillows - best on our entire trip! Enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools and had a great dinner at Murano including a delicious chocolate cake for my husband’s birthday!

Everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful in meeting our requests regarding the rooms. We were traveling with our children and they managed to find two rooms close to each other, taking in consideration that the hotel was fully booked.

Montenegro is a breathtakingly beautiful country. Tivat a charming seaside town and Porto Montenegro a very good resort with a lot to offer. I couldn’t wait for a two day weekend in front of me. Even though there are many, many good hotels I chose Regent knowing what that brand offers. But, and there is always a but...
I admit that I didn’t read everything on the site because it is THE REGENT. I didn't expected to be cheated. Big mistake. I got a room at the adjoining building that has private apartments that hotel subrents. I didn’t get somebody’s private apartment but a bedroom in one of the apartments. It had 25m2 with actual room being around 10m2. At least everything was very clean. Unfortunately in the next apartment teenagers had a party with extremely loud music.
To get to this "charming room" I had to go one floor up in the main hotel building, then through the SPA that smelled like somebody accidentally spilled chloride. After that I went over a bridge to this other building where I had to use another elevator to the 4th floor. I started looking for the room. Easy you would think. There were rooms 402, 403 and 404 but no room 403B. I had to look for the housekeeper and a very nice lady told me that 403 is actually not locked but leads to A, B and C rooms. So my room was a bedroom of somebody's apartment. When I went to the check in desk to cancel my next day reservation a nice girl apologised and offered to give me another room but I refused. I wouldn't be able to write this if I accepted that "bribe". I don't want other visitors to have this "surprise". So read very carefully their site. You won't find explanation what they are offering except on one place. Near 1 King Bed it had a word - Aqua and it is not a see view but this other building with private residences. I also have to mention that when I was leaving the hotel and went to pay, I had an unpleasant encounter with "probably a desk manager" who was verbally extremely aggressive accusing me that it is my fault not knowing what Aqua means on their site . He was NOT Montenegrin.
