Would definitely book again :)

It was clean and comfortable and secure. This was a last minute booking with ease - The host was very friendly and nice.

The location was very central - Waking distance to Geelong CBD's restaurants and shopping precinct

Neat & tidy

We didn't recieve the spa room as per booking. Told we got upgraded to a bigger family room which we really didn't need as only 2 of us. This was done the day of our booking so really couldn't do anything about it.

Tiny Room with minimal basics.

Location was the only good thing.

The size of the room was tiny. Photos of room when booking were misleading. Photos on booking.com are of much larger spacious rooms. Handsoap bottles were filled up with water and bar of soap in shower was from previous quest !! 2 tiny bath towels with no face washer. Bedding was minimal and no additional blanket was supplied for cold weather, which is what we had meaning we had to sleep with heater on all night so we didn’t freeze. Check out was 11am but we had the cleaners banging on the door at 10.15am wanting to clean the room. Wouldn’t book again for the price considering it was a shoebox.

it was fine thanks , easy to find and car park was OK, the fact there was some solar on the roof was good and shows some environmental responsibility

Does not need the bar heater which is a waste of energy when there is an airconditioner in the room. AC remote needed some new batteries as was on its last legs

The room was just right for my needs at that time. It was fairly central to where i was going, easy to get there and easy to get out of Geelong as well.

My room was upstairs and below me was a dog which barked quite a lot. Also there was a smoker in the building and the smoke wafted into my room, it could be smelt in the stairwell as well.

The location is close to the hospital and the bed comfortable.

I was given an upgrade as the room I booked had not been cleaned. The manager mentioned it at least 5 times as if it was a favour to me. He stated that the room was quiet (it wasn’t, there was a lot of noise from upstairs) and that the closed window kept out the road noise (it didn’t). Also, you could not shut the bathroom door properly.

Gold Star Stays is a misnomer, a better name would possibly be “Zero Star Stays of Geelong”

On arrival I noticed the bed dishevelled (photo) and on close inspection it appears the sheets unchanged, in the bed found a vaping utensil (photo) and an electronic part (photo), knob missing from the cooktop and window screens filthy. I messaged the management that night, no response, I emailed their contact on Tuesday last and offered them first right of reply to diffuse the issue. 72 hours later…nothing, so it makes you wonder what is going on in these premises. my advice is give this mob a wide berth

Served the purpose we needed after hospital stay as close to hospital

Quiet unit block, very clean with all you would need during stay, very safe if on your own

Difficulty with getting access, as all info not in email. Parking very tight due to small garage spaces
