Our family went to Italy and London for vacation. We spent the majority of our time on the Amalfi Coast and stayed at the B&B Santalucia. What a perfect place. They treat you like family. We would spend the days trekking around the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii, and did the Path of the Gods hike (highly recommend) and would retire each day to our mountain retreat overlooking the Mediterranean away from the crowds and was much cooler in temperature than the coast - loved it! The optional dinners were amazing and nothing was better than filling your day with activities and then coming home, taking a shower, and then going on the beautiful terrace to an amazing meal better than a restaurant. Our family loves to travel and see new places but we are seriously considering coming here again just because of this B&B and what a wonderful time we had here.
Next time I could get by without renting a car but until you can figure out the buses and water taxis I think it’s wise to have a car for your first visit. Getting your luggage from the bus stop up to the B&B would be tough (we made the trek a few times without luggage and it’s not easy - very steep incline to get up there).

Amazing view, with a 360 view of the sea. Close to Amalfi beach from where you can take a boat or bus to other places from Amalfi coast. Vicenzo and his family are very welcoming and made us feel like we were at home!
The house is in a hill so if you are without a car you might need to do a walk a steep hill. If you decide to go with a car, make sure you rent a good car to go up!

Everything was great! The place, the view, the vibe, the owners, the room. If you have a car then this is a place for you. All was perfect and we'd gladly come back! Thank you!

GREAT HOSPITALITY

The staff were really friendly and helpful, with one giving us a lift back from Amalfi which is quite a way from the b&b (for a bit of money obviously, but it still would’ve worked out cheaper than a taxi). it is really close to the small town of agerola which is surprisingly very lively at night. Also our room was cleaned for us while we went out for a couple hours on the second day we were there which definitely saved us a job!!

Beautiful location and great view.
Great family and amazing breakfast at the fantastic terrace.

The property was very clean and comfortable with an incredible view. Vincenta’s family was very hospitable.
it was perfect location for hiking, but a little more out of the way for public transport but worth it. Talk to property ahead of time if needing transport from airport/train station.

our host went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. she even washed our clothes when we didn’t find a k laundromat.
The property is located in a not so nice area. Broken streets, a lot of trash lying around, abandoned buildings. the property CB itself was well secured with ample parking

We had a lovely sea view from our room and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good too.
The walls are very thin so we had a few disturbed nights with doors banging and people talking (the local cockrel also seemed to be awake most of the night too). Facilities are a little limited, no coffee facilities or fridge in rooms. The description said it was good for families but it was a really steep walk with a pushchair to get to town.

Great place to forget about the rest of the world, and accesible from either Naples or Amalfi Coast.
Amazing views from the room.

The accomodation is very clean, cosy and the view is amazing. It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to the bus which took us to Amalfi. The hosts were all exceptional and very accomodating, always helping us with whatever we needed.

It was a vey genuine welcome and made for a very relaxed stay. Nothing was a problem and all service was with a smile. Breakfast was very enjoyable every morning and we were even served freshly picked figs from the garden. We ate there on two evenings and both times the food was exceptional. We enjoyed horse riding and hill walking locally and there is a good range of local restaurants, one of which we ate in on a couple of occasions. There is a reliable bus service to both Amalfi and Naples with all the stops on the way, including the Path of the Gods hike to Positano.
We didn’t like leaving 😥

Everything!
The room was spacious enough for 2 with very good facilities including air conditioner.
The hosts were very very warm. Staying there was like having the comforts of a hotel with a warm human touch.
Good view with a wholesome breakfast. The host used to drop us at the nearest bus stop by their car when requested without any extra charges. The hosts were even ready to cook food for an additional reasonable cost.
The only problem was its location. The place is 1 hour away from Amalfi port by bus. If one has motion sickness, they can have a tough time travelling to and fro from this place.

Such a lovely and calm stay in the mountains along the Amalfi Coast. The views are insanely nice. Unreal! We thought this was a much better option than staying directly at the beach. The food is way better and more reasonably priced in Agerola. Abd there aren’t throngs of tourists. We loved it. The staff at Santa Lucía is so kind and welcoming. It’s very clean and breakfast on the balcony can’t be beat. They go out of their way to ensure you have a nice stay. Highly recommend!
It’s a bit of a walk (10min) to the bus stop, but Mario offered to give us a ride when we needed to go early in the morning. Fortunately, there a number of delicious dinner places within a 3-5min walk too. Some of the best food we had in Italy.

The location is perfect for people traveling by car, but we traveled by public transport, so it took more time to get to other towns.

BB Santalucia is located up the mountain with an amazing sea view and privileged since we could see Capri Island. We believe it is necessary to go by car, but parking is free. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every day outside in the garden with a lovely view. Mario and his father were extremely attentive and gave us very good tips, such as taking the Villa bus to visit Naples for $2 euros. The room was comfortable, with air conditioning, very clean, and with a very nice view. They also give you the option of having dinner on-site prepared by Vincenzo with organic products from his own garden, you just need to let them know in advance. However, there is a square with a restaurant, ice cream shop, and small shops 5 minutes by car down the hill that is worth visiting. The breakfast is really good, with bread, cakes, the option of omelet and good coffee. It is a very pleasant place to rest after a long day visiting beaches and the surrounding towns on Amalfi Coast. We just thought the internet was slow, so if you think about going to work online from the B&B you might have some issues. For the rest, we totally recommend the place to stay, relax and enjoy Amalfi Coast.

It is very clean and has a nice terrace. The breakfast place is so beautiful. Coffee while looking at the sea in the distance was delicious.

BB Santalucia is a family business run with heart and sole with Mario being there to help with everything necessary. The house is located in a quiet part of the village Agerola on top of the hill above the Amalfi coast overlooking the vast sea. Easily accessible with a local bus from Amalfi or other towns in the region. The house is traditional yet modern with a nice garden with all local produce, the rooms are cosy and shining clean with balcony of sea view and nice community areas to enjoy. Mario picked us up the first day and also took us to the bus early morning when leaving (although the stop is just a few mins walking distance) and we also got a great full breakfast each day of our stay. Very nice people and very peaceful and calm environment to stay at after longs days of wandering throughout the Amalfi coast. Loved it.

It was lovely to be greeted every morning by Vincenzo and Mario, sit at the terrace for breakfast, in the sun, with the lovely view of the fields, the sea and a corner of Capri. Vincenzo and Mario always tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, not only at their accommodation but also suggesting excursions, or the best way to get to a place, or trying to arrange a private boat hire from a friend when I told him that I was looking for one :)
Some useful tips:
- ask Vincenzo about the Valle delle Ferriere excursion, not as popular as Sentiero degli Dei but highly recommendable - you can have a dip in one of the waterfalls!;
- we rented a car for our stay but after the Ferriere excursion we used the bus service from Amalfi and it is quite convenient (be early at the departure point, it gets a bit crowded) - the bus stop at Agerola is close to the main square and from there is just the hill up to BB Santalucia);
- we got some sandwiches made at the salumeria in Agerola to take with us for the excursion and ate them at this nice eating area when you reach the metal stairs next to the river;
- in Agerola we ate at Da Gigino (food is not bad and the prices are low), and we also had pizza takeaway from Capricci Di Gola (a bit further down the road, very tasty).
[Travelled as a family of 4 with 2 grown up kids - 17 & 19 - flying into Naples and from there car to BB Santalucia]
Nothing to dislike.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at BB Santalucia and cannot stress enough how wonderful our visit was!!! Our hosts, Vincenzo and Mario, take so much pride in their BB and went above and beyond every day to ensure that we had an amazing stay. They made us breakfast every morning that we enjoyed from the patio with the most beautiful view of the water. Vincenzo even cooked us the most delicious dinner one night using fresh ingredients from his garden. (Be sure to have cash on hand for dinner as that is extra, but totally worth it.) Our room was very clean and had a patio where we enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. The BB is about a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and you will need to walk up/down a hill, but that way you burn more calories to enjoy more gelato! We are so happy with our choice to stay in Agerola as we think that our experience was more authentic. It took about an hour by taxi to get to the BB from Naples Airport and cost about 120 Euros each way. Again, absolutely worth it for our unforgettable experience. We would stay here again and have recommended it to several of our friends if they ever find themselves on the Amalfi Coast!

The family was very welcoming. The room was great and had a nice balcony looking out at the sea. The center of town is only a 10 minute walk. Lots of restaurants around. One night Vincente cooked us a lovely, romantic meal out on the terrace. Highly recommend!
