About this cabin rental
Stop scrolling, you have found THE one. Often described as one of Door County’s best-kept secrets, this charming cabin sits on a private peninsula which means 360-degree views of the water, privacy, and an East AND West facing dock so you can enjoy a cocktail at sunset and coffee with the sunrise.
Located on a rare Door County inland lake, offering that “getting away from it all” up north feeling while being just 15-30 minutes from towns like Bailey’s Harbor, Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, and Sister Bay. Enjoy your own oasis while being close to the restaurants and shops of the famous (and busier aka more crowded) Door County towns.
As you approach the cabin, you’ll drive until the road ends because we’re the last stop. Enter the gate and you’ll find a completely private oasis and entire peninsula to enjoy your time away and notice water views no matter which direction you look. It’s truly something you have to experience to appreciate how special this place is. Along the circular driveway sits 3 separate structures: the cabin, the garage with 2nd story loft, and the “doghouse” which is what we call our clubhouse for kids.
As you enter the cabin you’ll notice a newly renovated bathroom to your left with a new washer and dryer to use during your stay. Next, the kitchen has all new appliances as well and has everything you’d ever want or need to cook and host your group while at the cabin. Notice that water view out the kitchen window before continuing on to the living room with vaulted ceilings, wood beams, a pullout couch should you need an additional sleeping area, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that is the star of the show... Water views to your left and right make you feel like you’re directly on the water.
Continuing on to the first-floor master bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom - this room was thoughtfully designed by the previous owner who was a sailor and his love of boats inspired the use of space here. Steps from the water, you’ll again see nothing but lake out the windows and notice two hammock tree swings hangout out over the water from the tree and make a note to enjoy a book or cocktail at sunset in that spot later.
Up the stairs, you’ll find a third newly renovated bathroom with concrete vanity, white tiled shower, and stone floor (and of course, another water view out the window)! Two more bedrooms finish out the 2nd floor each with king beds, smart TVs, and you guessed it - yet another water view for each. The east-facing bedroom also has a twin pullout bed for kids and there is a pack-n-play should you need it during your stay as well.
Moving back outdoors, the expansive deck stretches across the waterfront offering a few spots to hang out and enjoy the view including a gazebo, outdoor fireplace, and concrete patio. Kayaks, canoes, a paddleboat, and the option to rent a pontoon offers a variety of ways to enjoy the water!
Onto the next structure, “The loft”, is a 2nd-floor area great for hosting privacy for one of the families in your group with a queen bed, 3-level twin bunk bed, dining/game table, couch, coffee maker, frig, and microwave.
The final structure, our kid's favorite - “The Doghouse” is a cute clubhouse for kids offering its own lakeside deck, two twin beds, a couch, tv, and chairs, and a sound system to communicate back to the main cabin. Books, games, and a lake view make this sweet spot another private oasis to enjoy during your stay.
Saving the best for last is the entertainment area in the middle of the peninsula offering a 15 ft farm table under twinkly lights for dinners al fresco and game nights and s’mores by the firepit.
Head down your own hiking trail to the tip of the peninsula and you’ll find a large wooden swing that fits 8 people, a special family heirloom of where the owners got engaged, and the perfect spot to take in the views of the lake, surrounded by water and nature. Sometimes, we won’t see our kids for hours because they’re off exploring the peninsula, building forts, or fishing.
Did we mention we’re dog friendly? We wouldn’t leave our buddy home from a trip to the lake and don’t expect you to either. $150/dog - just let us know you’ll be bringing your pets with you so we can add the fee to your booking.
Our cabin is less than 2 miles from famous local attractions like Cave Point, Whitefish Dunes State Park, and Lake Michigan, you’ll be able to enjoy all that inland lake life has to offer (swimming, boating, and fishing) while being steps away from some of the most popular spots with visitors.

great time overall during our 2nd stay at The Point. Cabin has everything needed to support a family get-together. Good fun on the pontoon boat, bluegill and perch cooperated on our fishing excursions, firepit and cornhole = A+. Jeremy = beyond excellent to work with in all respects. We've already re-booked for next yr. :^)

This is our family’s favorite place. We love it!

The Point was the perfect backdrop for our family's vacation. From the water access and endless fishing (we had one happy 4-year old angler) to the accommodations and attention to detail, we spent a long weekend creating memories, cooking delicious meals and slowing down to enjoy our time together in the perfect setting.

Nice family retreat. Enjoyed the quiet location. The grandkids enjoyed wandering the property and learned how to fish. The lake water was very clear and sunsets were beautiful. Family time around the campfire nightly. Jeremy was quick to respond to questions. We would highly reccomed this property.

Would definitely stay here again!!

We had the best time at The Point on Clark Lake .
The view was outstanding . We sat outside on the dock each night and
watched the sunset . We really hated to leave !

Wow, wow, wow! Imagine 10 50-60 something ladies spending 4 days in Door County. The plan was: kayaking, crafting, sightseeing, eating, drinking and laughing. The Point allowed us to do it comfortably and fabulously! The only problem? We never wanted to leave! The beds were comfy. The living room, while smaller than it looked, had tons of seating and was perfect for us! The kitchen was so well stocked, especially with the extra fridge in the garage. But the biggie… everything was so clean!!! We knew it accepted dogs but we did not see any hair or smell any wet pup smell! And finally the outside area is simply magical. From the huge fire pit to the awesome wood table to the perfect chairs near the water each morning for coffee! It was so wonderful. But wait! Who knew?! The secret best spot was the wooden rocking chair swing and the Fairy Garden. All we could think is the only people who would enjoy this place more than us would be kids! All the trails and secret spots would be just never ending fun.
Lastly, I would like to thank our hosts. They were so quick to respond to our questions and all their recommendations were spot on. Is already trying to figure out who I can ring with me next so I can go back next year. Thank you for the best girls’ trip ever!

My husband, son (4.5 years old), and I had a wonderful vacation at The Point. We loved having a dock for morning coffee and a dock for a sunset campfire (in the solo stove). It really does feel like you are in a boat when you sit in the living room, due to the water views on each side. The water is crystal clear - we loved to watch the fish and other lake life.
The beds were comfortable. Two of the bedrooms in the main cabin face (and are very, very close to) the lake, so one can open the windows to hear the lake at night, if one would like. It can probably be heard from the other bedrooms as well, but I didn't try those out.
The property was clean and well maintained. Jeremy was pleasant and great with communication. He responded to texts so quickly that I briefly suspected chatbot (which I happen to have been dealing with frequently as of late), but he is a real person with the ability to text at superhuman speed.
We hope to return to The Point and also to visit the other DC Cabin Collective cabins. It was almost, but not quite, warm enough to swim during our visit, so we plan to aim for a slightly warmer time of year for our next visit to The Point.
There is one thing to note if someone in your group can't easily bathe in an overhead shower: there is neither a bathtub nor (I am pretty sure) a shower wand, so plan accordingly. I was so dazzled by the property that I didn't key into this until it was time to bathe our 4.5 YO. This wouldn't have had any impact on our decision to vacation at The Point, but I probably would have pulled the baby tub out of storage and brought it along had I noticed this earlier. Just mentioning it here in hopes of helping others who can't easily bathe in an overhead shower. I'm sure that if I had asked Jeremy for help he would have made a tub appear or worked some other magic, but we just powered through with the overhead shower and cut our son's bathing schedule from 1x/day to 1x/week - it is vacation, after all. Also note that it is very possible that one of the shower heads was convertible into a shower wand and I was just too mechanically inept to figure it out.
Anyway, do not hesitate to book The Point through the Door County Cabin Collective website (or another website of your choice, although I ran the numbers for all options and determined that, as one would expect, the Door County Cabin Collective website provides the best pricing).

Our group of 10 adults had an absolutely fantastic time at The Point. Photos do not fully convey how great the cabin and land are. The cabin was spotless for our arrival, and the amenities are pretty much exactly as listed. Basically, anything one would need is already there, except for food and drinks, and the option to purchase firewood on-site also eliminated the hassle of finding a gas station or roadside stand with wood in stock. Check in and out were a breeze, and Jeremy was great at maintaining open lines of communication. Overall, 20 thumbs up.

To say we loved this place is an understatement. I will say that I am pretty picky and this cabin was clean, updated, and everything I was hoping it would be. We didn't want to leave!
The kitchen had everything we could need, the beds were comfortable, updated bathrooms were nice the kids LOVED the loft and the doghouse. The host (Jeffrey)had great recommendations on sights/restaurants and was so helpful with all questions. We can't wait to stay here again in warmer months.

Our family needed a place to just kickback and relax together. The Point was a great place to do that. Lots of fun sitting areas. The cabin is well equipped and Jeremy is just a text away. We mostly stayed at the cabin and biked, hiked, beached and generally explored from there. We did enjoy the pontoon. A highlight for me was taking the kayak up Logan Creek very early in the morning. My bird sound identifying app was very busy.
4.9
We had a great time, the property was made to accommodate children. They had a blast. My personal favorite was sitting outside watching the sunsets every night. Great memories will definitely come back.

This year we decided to do extended family memory trips in lieu of holiday gifts. The Point was the perfect place to create memories on a beautiful property. We stayed on the property 90% of the time and did not run short of activities. Everything was as described. You have three distinct “buildings/homes” on the property, two docks, trails all around, and friendly neighbors! There are other small towns within driving distance and groceries as well. Beautiful property and fisherman’s paradise.

This property is beautiful and has everything you could ever want. Our family made great memories exploring the property and the owners were very attentive and quick with communication. Thanks again!

Fantastic Lake House "Cabin" location that was a perfect location for a family get together and retreat.
The hosts were very communicative in making sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
Highly recommended!

We enjoyed the cabin with three bedrooms and loft and dog house with extra sleeping quarters. Everything was decorated with a cabin vibe. The property was very well supplied and clean. The large couch accommodated our large group.
We were celebrating birthdays. We even brought 2 dogs.
Such a beautiful view-water surrounding us almost. We hit a nice week-end in November. It would be great in summer with boats and swimming available too. Great choice for our family.

We were all smiling when we saw the beautiful house and the location. Everything was just like we imagined! Had beautiful sunsets and stunning sun rises from one of the two piers. Bonfires at night were also a highlight. Would highly recommend

The location is wonderful, being the last property on the peninsula of Clark Lake you have a dock on the east for sunrises and a dock on the west for sunsets. And you can walkthrough a narrow wooded trail to the very tip of the peninsula, which we all loved doing. It is definitely a property to spend the most time out doors. With a great wooden table which is lighted to eat at., a deck with seating adjacent to the cabin and a screened in gazebo for those buggy nights ( being mid May we had no bug issue) . We also had our Bernese Mountain Dog with us and she loved being there. Properties that allow dogs are typically more run down but this was not the case with this property. Our dog is with us all the time and is very well mannered in the house. Paw wiping before going in, no going on the furniture etc . All dogs that come there must be similar to ours for you would not see any evidence of4 legged friends being there. The owner of the property was very responsive to any question or needs we had and answered right away when I txted and I mean right away ! That was amazing. We had 3 adult sons and a girlfriend plus my self and my husband. The sleeping arrangement worked out fine. The only thing is 2 bedrooms are in separate buildings, one over the garage and one in a separate one room cabin neither have running water in them so whoever sleeps there will have to go to the main cabin to use a bathroom. It was not a problem for my family but could be for some . Really every thing you needed was there, from kayaks, canoe, life jackets, bean bag toss, outside seating, fire pit , gas and charcoal grill.. and if you want to explore DC it is easy to get to anything from the cabin.. Whitefish Dunes is Not even 10 minutes away, Penisula State park is 20 minutes away. it truly was perfect for us!

Amazing location. Amazing property. Amazing management.
This is quite simply the best vacation rental experience I've ever had. The house sits on a private peninsula. There is water right out the front door and the back door. There is a large table for outside dining. The lake is crystal clear and beautiful. There are kayaks and canoes available to use.
Jeremy was incredible to work with. He went above and beyond for us. He worked so hard to make sure that we had no issues. I truly can't recommend this property highly enough.

Great property with caring owners
Eight adults and three kids and two dogs. Spent a week and had a great time. Owners so concerned that we were having a good time and everything worked. Boat was a great extra.

Great stay at the point on Clark Lake
This was an awesome property that my family stayed at. My grandkids just loved running around the property, swimming in the lake and just having fun. Owners did everything possible to make our stay as pleasant as possible even when a storm came through and knocked out power in the area for awhile our first night there. Would not hesitate to stay there again. It is a gem!

Absolutely perfect
Searched for months for the right lake house for our family and found the perfect spot with the perfect owners at The Point. The property is one of a kind and you feel like its more of a private, cozy summer camp (with 5 star amenities) than a vacation home. Beautiful water perfect for swimming, fishing and boating, one dock facing east and one facing west - if one side is wavy or shady the other is calm and sunny, multiple boats, plenty of seating to just hang out by the lake, and so much room to explore the vast and beautiful property! This is truly something special and it is also located very close to most of the best sites in Door County. The homes are just as fantastic. The main cabin has all the amenities that one would want and the owners have spared no expense providing high quality appliances and furnishings. The log cabin decor is perfect and the breezes through the home keep it comfortable night and day. The Doghouse and the Loft are both separate sleeping areas that also have wonderful character all their own. An expansive fire pit with plenty of seating and a screened gazebo in case the bugs are an issue (which they weren't for us) ensure that nights spent outdoors are comfortable. But no matter how nice a property is, and this one is beyond nice, it takes good owners to ensure a good vacation experience. The owners, Caitlyn and Jeremy, literally could not have been more proactive with information and responsive to our questions prior to our trip and during our stay. They are genuinely interested in making sure that their guests have a memorable family experience at The Point and indeed we did! It is obvious that they have created The Point as a place for families to come together and make lasting memories and all of our interactions with them (no complaints or issues, just questions) were overwhelmingly positive. Thank you, Caitlyn and Jeremy, for allowing our family to experience this amazing and special place and we look forward to visiting again next year!
