Staff welcome, overall cleanliness of room and hotel.
Unfortunately the bed was 2 singles put together.
3.3
location was perfect and the staff were great
bed a little springy but that's okay!

Room was good. First floor. Bit small but had direct sea view as requested. Excellent comfortable twin beds. Bathroom bit small but had excellent walk in shower and good hot water. Breakfast order taken at the table. Very quick and efficient. Nicely prepared. Very pleasant bar near reception. Plenty of on site parking when we were there. Hotel has good location on the Esplanade near the Harbour restaurants and the main street. Friendly helpful staff. Apart from breakfast the hotel restaurant wasn't open. Not a problem for us as we usually eat out.
Nothing that we could say we didn't like. However, one or two things need improvement in the bathroom. There was no fixed toilet roll holder or shelf under the mirror for shaving gear, toiletries etc. Also, hotel bathrooms need hooks to hang things on. Although she doesn't need it my wife pointed out that there ws no sanitary disposal unit in the bathroom. These things need attention. The hotel has been undergoing refurbishment so perhaps these items will be attended to. Visitors with mobilty issues need to check that the lift is working. The main one was awaiting repair when we were there - although there is another that goes to the first flloor only. There was a wardrobe but no drawer space in our room but it wasn't a problem for the few days we were there. Possibly larger rooms have more storage space.

The room was lovely, the food excellant, special mention to the staff who were friendly, polite and went above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable from the receptionist Sarah to the chef, barman Sarah's son, waiter, maintenance and management !!
Nothing to dislike
3.3
Good location and great value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly, able to accommodate additional requests. The bed was extremely comfortable with good pillows!
Our bathroom could have been a little bigger but still good value for money.

La atención del personal
Que no había servicio de cena en el hotel

We were next door to a barking dog until 12.45am . The room was fine but shower was tiny for my husband to shower in. A floor mat to soak up the water would be better & 2 hand towels for drying wet hair. Location was great and sea view was amazing.

Within walking distance of seafront.
No evening meals in restaurant despite info sheet stating it was open for dinner every day between 6.30 - 8.30pm! Reception staff said that they did NOT do evening meals at ALL despite info sheet! Manager implied it was our fault that for not booking earlier despite not being told to book and it being an hour before the restaurant supposedly opened!
Charges for parking not specified. Lift not working so had to struggle with heavy cases up two flights of stairs. Bad creaking floorboards which kept you awake when other guests came back to their rooms. The room was tiny, you could not open wardrobe door as too close to bed. Had to move TV to find plug socket for kettle. Shower so small you could not lift your arms to wash your hair! Toilet roll loose and hanging off the wall. Handwash ran out in afternoon and we were told it would be replaced NEXT day and given SHAMPOO as stopgap! Room not cleaned and dirty cups left.
Breakfast served half hr later than stated. No menu in room for breakfast. Waitress brought menu and said everything on the menu WAS available, however, although fried eggs were available, scrambled eggs were NOT! Vegetarian options were not listed on menu but were available.
The manager was very indifferent and unhelpful! Overall we had a terrible experience.

Nothing
The worst stay in a hotel ive ever had, felt so unsafe, huge argument in room next door where mirror was smashed when i thought was the window, smoking weed in room next door and invited 3 people to their room which happened from 1am to 4am. Absolutely nothing done by night porter or i have had no reply from emails sent to Kim general manager of hotel. Room was so stuffy unbearable to sleep on top of what was going on in room next door
3.3
Room was located in the basement with a tiny lift and stairs to get to the corridor had a fowl stench to walk through that made me feel quite sick as I have brittle asthma and arthritis the location of the room was quite poor
We paid for breakfast and the breakfast was cold we got up and went to get toast and the waitress cleared our table and was quite rude when we asked where our breakfast had gone we paid for 3 breakfast and only had one as I was unwilling to try it again Friday nite we went to watch a live band at a pub near by returned at 12 to find the hotel locked up had to ring the bell and bang on door to be let in which didn’t help my asthma as I was panicking there were no notices to say what time the doors would be locked

Location excellent

outlook of room sea view. the entertainment three nights. `good car parking but 6 pounds a night
hotel need a deep clean. decoration needed in passage ways and communal areas . breakfast cooked too early eggs hard as rock ,one male staff in dining room rude and unhelpful, needs a house keeper to check on rooms and communal areas ,also someone to over see dining room.

Suprised having to pay for car park. Saying that only £6 for 24 hrs

Location is perfect.
Receptionist helpful.
It was very noisy in the part of the hotel we were.
The bathroom was very, very small.

hotel dated
bar drinks availability poor.
not enough plug sockets
3.3
The breakfast was nice if there was any left after a coach party had been,if you have a dog you have to eat in the bar, walk a long way with hot plate ,there was no trays and we were forgot about on numerous occasions ,when we told staff could we have coffee .The entertainment they had on was really good
It wasn't very clean, there was a stain in our room which i took a photo of when we arrived because I didn't want my dog getting the blame ,we were charged 10 pound a day for our dog .the lift hardly worked which is a issue when you have two suitcases to take to top floor .hand rails and round door handles were dirty the back of the sink pedestal was covered in dust

Vin, the night porter was amazing.
3.3
Location was excellent for what we wanted. On the front. Room facing the sea. Lift and hotel parking - important because of mobility issue. Breakfast fine. Pleasant bar for driinks. Good restaurants nearby.
Nothing to add here. All OK.
3.3
Cutlery from used tables was not cleared and washed but added to for next guest (Covid)
Cutlery was dropped on floor then used to lay table.
There was no room service
3.3
proximity to harbour and front
room too hot no fans available when asked. No lemonade some of the stay. Lift overheated and could not use and have a breathing h problem do found it struggle.
3.3
Tea and coffee station was filthy wasn't cleaned, room was far to hot, they wasn't able to provide a fan in the heatwave that we had, so had to sleep in the car for 2 hours then go back and shower in cold water, slept for 40mins in the hotel, until someone outside was pulling plastic containers across the road and woke us up at 4.30 couldn't wait to get out of there to be honest. I've got 3 disabled children and needed this break and a good night sleep but it didn't happen so come home more exhausted.. there were people slamming doors out side the door of our room at just gone midnight too was a very bad stay and its one of the worst hotels that we have stayed in..
Staff couldn't provide a fan for the room in the heatwave, very noisy, slamming doors and someone across the road in another hotel..
3.3
Very out dated, room was very basic, to many doors and corridors to get to the room or floor you needed
3.3
Location brilliant,staff friendly,breakfast plentiful,downstairs seating area excellent ,
Not enough fans available room very hot couldn't open window full because of seagulls and pidgeons
