Great breakfast with fresh croissants :)
Room is really tiny, clean, balcony was nice advantage, but it requires some maintenance/cleaning.

Breakfast - OK, maybe I expected a bit more cheeses - it is already Netherlands!!! :)
Location - perfect: just on the sea boulevard, beach 1 minute walk, as well as bus stop - 1/2 minute walk

Plenty of variety at breakfast, which was frequently replenished. Food was piping hot as well.
We always went for a walk in the evening along the seafront after dinner. The hotel was perfectly located opposite the beach.
We were happy with everything at the hotel.

Cozy and family like hotel.
A little bit too old and unmaintained. Screeching wood and noisy stairs, gusts of wind can be heard everywhere. Doors vibrating. Internet strength is mediocre.

A comfortable room that was nice and clean and looks as if it‘s been recently decorated. The WiFi worked without problem and the location is very nice. There is also a nice whisky bar in the reception area, although I didn’t try it out. The breakfast area is good and there‘s plenty of choice.
The breakfast starts quite late (08:30-10:00) - as this was a work trip for me I had to leave at 08:30. However the staff were kind enough to give me some breakfast anyway. I appreciate however that the majority of visitors are tourists and so this is unlikely to be a problem.

Very friendly staff ready to walk an extra mile for you (or rather let me have breakfast an hour earlier than scheduled!). Very nice location and a stylish bar downstairs. The hotel is within walking distance to ESTEC.

The owner was very friendly and accomodating. He made me get the most out of my stay there.

The staff is extremely hospitable and the breakfast is excellent. I enjoyed the sea view very much. The hotel has a long tradition (since 1928). It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a great collection of whiskies.

The owner is a big fan of scotch whiskey who knows a lot about the whiskey. The drink can be served down in a cosy Scottish bar. Unfortunately during my visit was a lockdown and I couldn't use that bar and had to drink the whiskey in my room :-(

The location and that you may bring your dog.

Location and friendly staff. Great sunset view in the evenings. Some rooms (mostly doubles) have balconies facing the sea. It's possible to have breakfast on the terrace with the sea view (if weather permits).
I just wish I knew in advance that the hotel closed at 11pm. I had been hoping to see the bioluminescence which happens after 11pm.

Breakfast
Didn't like the bed, too soft.

The place is on really good location, the staff was good. I was really surprised, that the family are having this business almost a century and they are descendants from the first leaders on the hotel. That’s really amazing!
In my opinion those rooms are really expensive for theirs conditions, that was really too much. They were a few costs, that weren’t predicted. But it is good.

It was great being at the hotel! We liked especially the cozy and friendly atmosphere of a family hotel, instead these tasteless/standards hotel chains.

Location ist just stunning. Katwijk is a small, but lovely town on the cost. Even though the weather is not always caressing you, it has his own unforgettable flair. It was a good choice!
