The property grounds are lovely, from the gorgeous blue pool, surrounded by palms and a lot of greenery to meandering paths leading from one village to another. Upon arrival, the wonderful front desk, staff of Nita & Bona greet you with that typically large Khmer smile, having committed your first names to memory, they treat you like long, lost family members! And the wonderful bar staff, whose names I can’t recall. As well as the magnificent Chen, our breakfast, maître d’ who’s there to greet you every morning and take care of your every need for breakfast. The entire staff really displays a level of professionalism worthy of their five star rating! And did I mention what a wonderful job the bar staff does making a very very dry vodka martini😉!
The location of the property is second to none everything that you can possibly want to see in the town center all within a 10 minute walking distance. The lovely location in Riverside. The one negative not something the hotel can control but be sure to pack some insect repellent , as the mosquitoes are out in force, dawn, and dusk. We stayed in a pool view villa, and it was absolutely lovely, bed very comfortable, plenty of room to move around, large, walk-in shower, and if it’s your thing, a make up desk! As two men that really didn’t mean all that much to us but hey, it was another counter to place some items.
you must be careful with the hot water here! It can be scalding, hot very quickly! Which gets confusing when you turn the hot water handle, one way and the cold water handle a different way and it’s tough to remember which one went which way all the time! So be careful!

Loved the location, grounds, and especially the staff!! So helpful, pleasant. Food and cocktails also wonderful.
There were two families with very loud children at the pool. Parents exerted no control over their screaming. Really took away from the enjoyment of the grounds and pool. I am sure it was a one-off occurrence, but it really did detract from an otherwise perfect spot. Location was perfect!

Location is great, rooms are large and comfortable, staff is exceptionally kind — in particular Anh, who has wonderful energy and was so lovely to us throughout our stay.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is in a central location that is within walking distance (within 15min) to shopping, drinks and eateries. The staff are absolutely fabulous. They are very friendly and helpful. The room comes with complimentary breakfast. There is a good selection of western and local breakfast. The food is delicious.
We got the Governor Suite for my family of 4. The room is huge. But it is a bit old and dated. Especially one of the toilet, the floor tiles are very old.

Location was good
Over priced as it was more of a guest house, not clean, did not change sheets, laundry took 3 days to finish as they did not have proper laundry facilities, spa bath did not work, breakfast was not great, etc.

Location is great and the rooms are spacious

Me and my friend, two women stayed at this property and loved our stay. We were welcomed by Nita at the reception, who is a lovely, warm and helpful person. Since our luggage was left behind by our airlines, she suggested good stores to shop from for. She offered to pack our breakfast for our 4am start for Ankor Wat Temples and generously packed eggs, croissants and fruit for us. All of the staff is wonderful, helpful and friendly. The service was quick, food was nice and the location is fantastic! The rooms are villa style and very big and comfortable. We loved our stay in them with a nice patio to enjoy the pool or the rain from. The beautiful river in front of our hotel is a nice spot to sit and enjoy, the bar at the hotel next door is great, hotel is a few mins walk from nice coffee shops, restaurants and 10 min walk (or 2 USD tuk tuk ride) to the pub street. We even got a massage in the room from the hotel spa!
Nothing, everything was great. The in-hotel massage price was on the higher side (USD 35ish).

the setting and the bedrooms were beautiful
I liked everything about our stay

The staff were very pleasant and helpful with any requests. Great location only a short walk to Pub street or many of the local restaurant's. Food was fine although we went out for dinner and lunch most days.
Would definitely stay again.
The TV in the rooms works but there is no channels, you need to have your own account of some sort to watch anything. Mosquitoes are about but if the fan on the front deck was left on all the time it keeps them away.
4.5
This property is not very big and all rooms are villa type, means privacy is the core of this property, also all villa are situated in the rush garden, guest can smell the nature especially when it rain. location is very convenient to explore the city by foot and many good restaurants within 500-700 meters.
The staffs super friendly and strong service mind, they are willing to help all guests. Guest can choose to have the breakfast at the restaurant or at the own villa.
Only 1 thing that the property should improve, the breakfast is too simple with not so many choice and small amount, some guest may not feeling full.

creative staff who managed to create a surprise for my birthday. Usage of plants and flowers were a good idea - no cost / green and yet brought some warmth to my 50th birthday.
there were only 2 complimentary bottles of water provided. Extras are chargeable. The hotel should review this policy.

This is a quaint hotel near the heart of Siem Reap. The hotel is clean with spacious rooms. There is a lovely outdoor pool and small restaurant with a decent menu (both Khmer and Western dishes). The bartender, Sunneang, is fantastic. All of the staff worked so hard to please us and ensure a pleasant stay. They were quick to arrange a tuktuk for us for our outings and help us plan our itinerary. The hotel is a short stroll (2 minutes) from Pub Street, food vendors and souvenir shops. We also had breakfast included in our room rate which saved a lot of time and money each day. The breakfast is fairly simple but was enough to fuel us up for the day.
There were a ton of mosquitoes. The staff fumigates the rooms frequently and provided spray but there are still a lot. I don’t think it’s something really within their control. The hotel sits on the river and has tons of greenery so mosquitoes are inevitable. We doused ourselves in bug spray and just made the best of it.

Location and Friendly Staff

La Riviere was a lovely stay, excellent location and delicious breakfasts, away from the hustle of Pub Street but still close enough to wander in to busier parts of town.
The pool was clean and a great temperature and the staff were lovely and accommodating.
Our room was huge and comfortable.
There are a lot of mosquitos at the time of year we went but the hotel did everything possible to minimize the damage, from providing spray to fumigating the grounds, fish in the ponds to reduce eggs being laid. We cannot fault them for their care.
The massage experience was unexpected, they brought comfortable mattresses to the room but didn't close the curtains for us, as westerners we were a little weirded out by them expecting us to remove clothes in front of them.

They location was perfect as easy walking distance to pub st, and local BBQ restaurants, pool was very tranquil and felt very relaxed staying there.
