Enjoyable stay

Room was spotlessly clean and the facilities were of a high standard. Spacious room with a comfortable bed and pillows, fridge to keep drinks etc cool, spacious shower with lots of hot water. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and easy walking distance from the town centre. Staff in the pub were really friendly when we checked in and had a drink during the day

Only downside for us was that as we visited midweek by the time we got back from meeting family for a meal the pub was closed - if we came again we would travel at the weekend so that we could make more use of what is a super local pub

Very good stay on the whole.

Lovely room with everything we could ask for. Friendly host and good well thought out entrance & exit with a safety briefing.

Far too hot. Tried to turn radiator off - but had to sleep with the window open. I’m sure this could be easily rectified.

Absolutely fabulous.

Beautiful property, fabulous staff and great location. My room was a good size, spotless and bed was very comfortable. I could not hear any noise from the bar downstairs or from people in other rooms. We went to the bar downstairs, people were friendly, drinks were a good price, the bar area was lovely and clean, the outside area was fab too. Can’t fault anything. I would highly recommend and will be staying again without a doubt on my next visit.

Friendly little pub

The bed was very comfortable and the in room drinks choices catered for our tastes. Having a drink in the bar with the friendly and welcoming regulars was great.

The kettle in the room was stained from use with hard water and should be cleaned or replaced. The shower drain was clogged with hair that had to be removed to prevent flooding in the bathroom.

Well worth a return visit.

The key code entrances were fantastic. Staff were lovely and welcoming and made sure to inform us of everything we needed to know. Lovely rooms with extra special touches like a teddy on the bed to give a more homely feel and the tv having ability to use Netflix was a nice bonus many hotels don’t have.

Beautiful room with fantastic facilities including a smart TV, fan and corner bath/shower. Very quiet, even though situated above a pub we didn’t hear a thing. Friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to staying again.

An excellent stay overall

Location was very well suited to me as I was travelling for work. Very spacious and clean room with excellent decor. Hostess was very helpful and gave information on restaurants nearby.

Access to rooms from parking required passing smoking area which was a bit unpleasant as was busy with people smoking.

Excellent place for an overnight stay for business reasons.

Rooms were cosy, freshly decorated and exceptionally clean

There was no breakfast, checkout was at 10:00 am and there was no reception or hotel staff to oversee my checkout. Not a problem but having an extra couple of hours to relax and having something to eat before leaving would have made a nice difference.

Very Clean, Very Friendly, Very Good!

Guest August 23, Second stay here and although really late checking in due to roadworks staff were super friendly and helpful even though pub was busy. Very, very clean throughout, own code for entry and free parking.

No criticism enjoyed my stay, but if you book be reminded you are staying above a pub and others will be enjoying themselves. I quite liked that!

Staff were very friendly. The rooms were comfy, well presented and equipped with everything we could need. There was a wide variety of drinks within the room with bottled water and fresh milk supplied also. Very easy and secure access to and and from private quarters. Would definitely recommend.

Looking forward to coming back!

Easily accessed with free parking spaces behind. The landlady Julie was so welcoming and lovely, showing us around thoroughly and making sure we were settled and had everything we needed. The room itself was spacious and beautifully presented, the TV was huge and the bed was the best hotel bed we’ve ever slept on! Like a cloud!

The bathroom was absolutely fine but the shower took some getting used to with adjusting the temperature etc.

Easy check-in/check-out and access after pub hours. Close proximity car parking was available. Walking distance to town. Nice staff.

Room: Scented wands made me cough. Although pre warned pub customers loitered outside pub late after hours talking loudly below my room's window. Traffic noise was constant. Need better soundproofing. Light shade above bed was covered in dust. Couldn't get either reading light beside bed to switch on. Bulbs probably.

From the moment we walked into the bar, we were made very welcome. The accommodation is superb, I've genuinely never stayed in such a clean room!. We can't find one thing to complain about, and we will definitely stay again. Thank you so much.

Great stay very good value for money.

Room decor was lovely, great atmosphere and staff very welcoming and informative. The room was absolutely spotless. There was a murder mystery night being held the night we stayed, we didn’t manage to join in however we will be back to join another one as it looked great!
