Quirky old ‘castle’ with lots of interesting features. We were in the rooms with terraces so had lovely views. The hostess welcomed us in person. Breakfast was good.
The sea was two minutes away and beautiful for swimming and watching boats. The location is stunning.
Not suitable for people with physical disabilities as there were many steps outside and inside.

Amazing place, build in the spirit of "la Magne", like a castle. very nice decoration of rooms, great breakfast, the sea/beach is just in front. no cars, nothing around, just the sea and 2 local restaurant on the sea front.
Wifi/network LTE is poor, you'll be disconnected ;) , which is also good from time to time. Restaurant choice is very limited... we liked the hypocampus (name is approx), the other one did not care for us :(

Very friendly people, on a very quiet and remote little corner of Greece! Excellent coffee & breakfast, access to 3-4 beach taverna/restaurants on walking distance.
Would recommend this to anyone coming in!
Extra bonus points for the cute dogs the owners have! :)
Will visit again in the future, dont think of this one twice 😊

My wife and I absolutely loved it here. We had a warm greeting on arrival. The accomodation was small but spread over two floors and was tastefully furnished. The veiw from our terrace over the bay was beautiful. Breakfast was great too,
There was nothing that we did not like.

Very nice location in a secluded cove.
The guesthouse has been built in a traditional Mani architecture .
each room has a private balcony with table and chairs.
complimentary bottles of water
Rooms are quite small and bathroom ridiculously tiny and very basic ( we didn’t know hand show still survived until now ! ). Windows are sound proofed but unfortunately the walls are not and all sounds coming from neighbouring rooms are very present.
Same breakfast everyday without any kind of menu, without any vegetarian options or alternative to the daily ham and cheesy toast. No fruit at all.
Linen and towels changed daily (is it necessary? should we try to save water and environment ?) but glasses we used for complimentary water were never washed up or changed during our 4 nights stay. Same for toilets, shower cabin and sink.

Stone build hotel is beautiful! The breakfast was just enough and the hotel is close to the beach. The beach is amazing and the little restaurants lovely.

Psamathous Guesthouse is the perfect place to stay in Porto Kayio. Warm welcome by the owner The building was very well designed. The room I was in had a private terrace facing the sea. Water was provided for free in the room. The room was decorated in a traditional style with wall paintings by the owners husband.Breakfast was super. The Owner was most helpful throughout my stay and gave me great information about the Mani.

Psamathous is an amazing place to stay. Located in the picturesque bay of Porto Kayo, walking distance to the beach. The room had a private terrace with sea view. Serene and calm ambience. The room was perfectly taken car of with relaxing beds and lovely decoration, including pieces of art that the owner creates. Painting in bricks embedded at the wall. Breakfast delicious. The owners are professional and friendly and is worth visiting the tavern of Psamathous, literally by the sea, feet on the pebbles while enjoying your meal or wine.

Very quiet place at the edge of the peninsula. Nice exterior and interior. Pet friendly. Free parking. Good restaurant nearby.
Strong sewer odor in a whole room from the shower drain. Quiet expensive stay, but you don’t have much choice.

Very friendly hosts, wonderful terrace with great view
Blackout in the morning (not the hotel's fault - has been everywhere)
