Romantic Birthday Weekend Getaway

Absolutely loved our weekend getaway at McLaren vale. The location is perfect and close by to popular wineries such as d’Arenberg and down the rabbit hole. Beautiful scenery and surrounded by both art & nature. Inside is modern, open plan, cozy, and has everything you could possibly need.

There wasn’t a full length mirror anywhere. Some of the blinds were a bit worse for wear.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chapel very much. As it was hot, the pool was exactly what we needed

Mel and Craig’s Chapel is just perfect. Loved the pool, breakfast provisions , the comfy bed, just perfect!

Cute cottage with all the luxuries

Huge bathroom with great views of tfw first while you soak in the bathtub. Bed was very comfortable. Cozy living room with fireplace. Kitchen had all the necessities and luxuries such as a dishwasher.

Awesome location and great cottage for our trip. Loved the bathroom and views from the bath!

Very comfortable, catered to dietaries. Location close to everything and really lovely.

Lovely place. But it was very hot when we arrived 41 ° and the place had really warmed up. The single air con just couldn’t cope and didnt get into the bedrooms. The bed in the back room was very average.

Private, comfortable, great amenities, location, the owners were professional & real lovely to communicate with. But we loved everything. Everything was what we paid & asked for. Thankyou.

Upstairs bedroom : needs constant air conditioning. the air conditioning must be faced upward towards the bedroom from ground level air conditioning to keep cool. Outdoor entertainment area : was nice but needed a cleanup of old leaves/ debris been sitting a while. The Pool fence glass unfortunately was missed by the cleaners & BADLY needed cleaning… as the dirty grotty glass did spoil our nighttime sunset view and evening swim. Stairs: Please be careful on these stairs as can be hazardous as stairs handle is properly secured, but possibly a little short. With tight lower stairs & possibly slippery carpet depending on footwear please take care!!

Rural wine country stay 40 minutes from home

Nicely renovated cottage set on the edge of a forest and vineyard. Breakfast provisions were great.

Private pool is the icing on the cake at The Chapel

Very nicely appointed. Clearly lots of thought has gone into the furniture, soft furnishing, appliances and layout. Air conditioning is very effective during hot summer days. Loved the private pool area - not a large pool but plenty big enough for two people! Property is on the main road in McLaren Flat but I honestly didn’t hear any traffic noise in The Chapel. Great breakfast supplies provided (although there was also the option of a bottle of wine). There is a comprehensive guidebook for the property accessible via app - very helpful! Mel was also very responsive when I needed to check something with her. Highly recommended.
