The place was great, breakfast was delicious, the ocean was a little loud at night but was wonderful to sit out on the deck and watch the ocean. Saw turtles, whales, dolphins. Bed was comfortable, and hosts were all so pleasant and welcoming. Thanks you
All was good

Beautiful, lush, well maintained, quiet
To get to restaurants you need to walk up or down the beach. Most close by 6 pm. One farther away delivers later.

Loved the beautiful peaceful ocean front location! The quality of the villa and resort was incredible ! Host Maggie was delightful! 12 cats and 2 dogs! I loved it! Beautiful clean sparkling pools! Fabulous fully equipped outdoor kitchen! On the bus route!! No need to take cabs!! Even from the airport, a 5 min walk out of the airport, then take the bus for 17 pesos right to the resort!! Bus to Zihuatanejo and to ixtapa! Unbelievable vacation!!
Loved everything about Tree Tops!!

Maggie was wonderful and showed us the entire property. Very clean and a firm comfortable bed. We were in bungalow #3 which has an ocean view and is private. The local bus/van transportation is super cheap and easy, but Maggie will arrange a taxi if you need it. We took the bus to Zihua, toured around, got groceries, and headed back in a taxi. I didn't feel the need to go to town at all, other than groceries. Loved hanging out at the property with ocean air and beach access. You can rent kayaks down the street, but it would have been so perfect if they had a kayak at the property. Also, breakfast was great, served right to our porch. Very nice.
I really like the access to the outdoor kitchen, but it was odd that I had to provide my own fuel (coals) to grill.
The 3 broken lounge chairs need to be fixed/replaced.

This is a magical property operated by people who have put so much love into every detail. If your goal is to really relax, have a stunning beach almost entirely to yourself and have side adventures to authentic towns, this is the place for you! I can’t wait to return.
There was nothing at all I didn’t like!

We loved the place and the people. We were treated so well. Our private "home" was perfect. Cool and breezy, amazing decor, lovely touches and such a sense of place. The property is beach front, but unfortunately much of that entire area's beaches have rip tides frequently, so no swimming. But there is a lovely small pool (two if one unit is not using their "private" pool), plenty of hammocks, sun chairs and umbrellas, and delicious food made on the spot using super fresh ingredients. Note that our unit was not air-conditioned, but the overhead fan and light breezes, as well as the cross ventilation of many windows, made it temperate and lovely. It is conveniently close to the airport - an upside - with some plane noise on the outbound flights. Not enough to take away from this unique spot! Would definitely go again. Great to chill out there, so spend some days!
I only wish that rip tides were not prevalent in many parts of coastal Mexico! Note that you must pay at the resort, and there is a % upcharge for credit cards. I missed that part, but apparently it's buried somewhere on the booking.com site. Also, great idea to bring lots of pesos. It was difficult to not have enough cash, as many establishments do NOT take cc cards, and atms are not that easy to find, and may run out of money. Big banks in Zihuatanejo charged a lot in fees!

Bungalows Tree Tops is a wonderful unique property with a great laid back atmosphere. The property is nicely designed and beautifully built. The grounds and facilities are immaculate.
The owners Maggy and Jeremy are wonderful hosts and they serve the best Mexican breakfast.
Tree Tops is like a cottage escape with 2 well equipped outdoor kitchens, (for guests), eating areas, and loads of shady spots for lounging . It also has 2 small pools for cooling off or a bit of exercise.
It was a great spot for ending our week in Zihuantanejo and a nice contrast to Zihua's touristy bustle.
We will definitely book a longer stay there the next time we visit Zihuantanejo/Ixtapa.
There's not much to improve on here. There could be a few more hooks and racks for hanging and drying things. Also the property description should highlight the excellent cooking and eating facilities.

Absolutely fantastic property for a quiet, peaceful, gorgeous beach holiday!
The property is absolutely as described, and honestly even better. The photos do not do this place justice! Its 5 minutes from the airport and located in a very secure and private area. The owners were ready and waiting for my arrival and even had a cold welcome drink for me as they showed me the bungalow and property and explained the area and local attractions. The best part of the property is its just a few bungalows- its not overcrowded so you feel plenty private and like this is your own personal retreat.
The bungalows are all extremely cute and well maintained with all the comforts of home- including a private mini fridge and toiletries, modern fixtures and wifi. Mine was super spacious and private, huge windows with curtains and screens for great ventilation and protection from the evening mosquitos. The beds are incredibly comfortable with high quality linens and a Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress.
The property itself is incredibly well maintained, lots of palm trees, tropical plants and bushes along the lit walkways. Just steps away from any bungalow you have beachfront lounge chairs with palapa shade coverings, plenty of clusters of chairs, hammocks and tables as well as a gorgeous crystal clear swimming pool to float around in. There is lots of room to space out and have a completely peaceful space or get to know the handful of other guests.
The onsite restaurant was absolutely phenomenal and available for breakfast to dinner and all the drinks in between! They have not only a set menu you can select from, but a few daily specials that were absolutely the best thing I have eaten this year... and the kindest, nicest most genuine people in the world. They were kind enough to accommodate a dietary restriction and even delivered to my bungalow upon request! The owners were very helpful in booking a taxi to Zihua town and the airport as well as sharing local knowledge.
Everything was fantastic- this is a really special place to get away.

Breakfast was delicious and prepared fresh each morning!

The property and the unit are immaculate, clean, well loved and cared for.
Staff and owners are very helpful, friendly and did go way out of their way to make their guests feed cared for.
very close to airport. Yes, planes pass overhead , for 15-20 seconds, maybe 5 times a day.
Otherwise, it’s the ocean waves that sound like thunder! Absolutely impressive!
Beautiful views from Every window. The coastline and the beach are beautiful. it was a delight just to sit on the balcony, observe and listen to the waves.
The beach is beautiful and great for strolls for miles, but not always friendly to swimmers.
The beach is unprotected, open to the ocean. Swells may change on the spot without any warning and become easily overpowering to an adult. Exercise caution.

Everything about this property is great !!! We spent 3 months traveling in Mexico, staying at several different accommodations. Tree Tops was the Best out of all of them.
If you want a quiet place to relax and unwind, away from all the busy city noise, this is the place for you.
We stayed 6 nights in the Penthouse suite. It had a very comfortable bed, nice kitchenette, Comfy couch, large tv, and big balcony with a table and chairs, hammock, and lounge chairs. And what a view !!
2 pools that are nice to cool off in, Lounge chairs under Palapas,
The property grounds are well maintained by a hard working Gardner.
The hosts and staff are very nice. They make sure you are comfortable.
They have other cabin type accommodation on their property, all which are very well taken care of, and nicely decorated.
Just steps outside the property is Playa Blanca Beach. A long beach that you can stroll on, watch the sunrise and sunset, and take a dip in the shallow part of the ocean.
We will defiantly be back !!
There was nothing we didn't like about this property.

Very peaceful; listening to the waves, sitting under the palapa.
I have never had to pay extra for potable water, or soap to wash dishes, or worry about coconuts falling on the car. Or having the "jefa" insist on cleaning the room when I didn't need it. I really felt bullied. Did not feel like they even wanted us there.

The pictures did not represent the property for how wonderful it really is. The owner said they were being updated which is needed as the property is fantastic and the pictures do not do it justice.
Being I live in Puerto Vallarta and have rental properties myself, I feel like I am a good judge to say that the grounds and units are so much cleaner than one would ever expect, I was blown away.
Jeffri and Magy are excellent hosts and wonderful people.
I loved that there was no city noise, only the tranquility of nature and of course the ocean waves. A fantastic place to go to get away from it all.
I was prepared with taking food as there is very little available except for breakfast. Having a small refrigerator in the room was a must and utilized. You can venture out to other properties on the beach to some restaurants which I did not do.
After spending time with Jeffri and Magy, I went to Zihuatanajo and with each day there I had wished I had skipped the town and stayed at the beach for the entire time. I will definitely go back to Tree Top Bungalows and forget about staying or going to town in the future. This is what the true experience of Mexico is, staying in a bungalow on the ocean with no people and loud unsolicited music.

Location, design, hosts, staff, close to several beachfront restaurants.
Not a huge deal but weak cell and Wi-Fi were occasional nuisance when trying to call or FT friends. Really a minor thing.
4.8
We loved the seclusion! It may not be for everyone, but it really worked for us. The bungalows are open and airy so we didn't need the a/c. We had a great view of the ocean and could hear the thunder of the waves at night.
The pathways are great and some more joining the palapa pods would help with tracking sand in everywhere.
4.8
This place was beautiful, secluded and the hosts were very helpful! Our bungalow was adorable, clean and very comfortable. We didn't have AC, but somehow the fan did almost a better job--we were very happy with it. El Palmar restaurant just a few doors down was delicious as well.

The breakfasts were delicious. The facility is beautiful and pristine. It’s very well maintained. The location is very special, right on the ocean. Very quiet and off the beaten path. The owners and the staff are lovely warm wonderful people.

Right next to the beach. Well kept and decorated property. Your own villa made it a special place to stay.
Bring some good bug spray.

The breakfast was delicious, and the location was breathtaking. The hosts were very inviting and were always available if we needed anything. Our accommodation was spotless, and roomy. The grounds around the complex were beautiful and well maintained.
We loved everything about the accommodation, the location, and the hosts.

We had a wonderful time i wish we could have stayed longer, amazing honest caring hosts, i left a ver valuable gold diamond ring in my room and they returned it to me! Forever grateful. Next door there is a turtle sanctuary and i loved watching them being released into the sea! the beaches are pristine and go forever! we even for to see dolphins up close!!! Highly recommend xo

all of it was just incredible!

The place was clean and the hosts were friendly and the view from my bungalow was fantastic
When I booked it was CAD and when I went to pay it was USD so my stay was 600.00 more for the week than expected. Also with the 10% credit card fees and 20% bank fees it also added up, had I of known I would of brought more pesos. You also had to order supper by 400-430 so if you had a late lunch and not hungry by this time you would be later with nothing to eat.
