Excellent location, very close to Cape Tribulation by car. Access to beautiful 'private' beach.
Sofia was extremely helpful and prompt in dealing with our queries.
The house is very spacious and comfortable.
Great experience of 'off grid' living.
For overseas visitors it would be helpful to have few instructions on how to use the oven/grill/bbq as we are not used to gas.

Coconut Beach House is a large and spacious house with a nice sized yard and surrounded by rainforest. The best part of it was the very large, lovely verandah that was great for dining or relaxing and looking towards the mountain view. It was handy having an extra bathroom, and the private path to the beach was really lovely.
We were disappointed to see that there were no smoke detectors and no rangehood over the gas stove, which I believe are legal requirements. The verandah could be made safer for children with ballustrades or wire attached to the very open top and bottom rails. Also, the second bathroom had nothing to stop water flowing from the shower over the floor, something my elderly father had difficulty with. While the bugs weren't too bad, a few screens would be helpful.

Amazing property … great value for the money. Great location with private access to beach. First class accommodation

This house and location blew our expectations out of the water, it’s huge! And an absolutely stunning layout
Could be better maintained, you could see things needed fixing up but it made it more relaxed for us with kids we weren’t overly worried about them destroying things

The location was excellent being very close to Cape Tribulation. Accomodation was a whole house set isolated and alone in a clearing in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest which promoted a feeling of being part of it. Extra large open doors and spacious covered verandah added to this.
No air conditioning. There were also no insect screens but surprisingly we experienced no mosquitos or other insect pests while we were there.

Great location
Hot.. fans not all working and no aircon

A very nice house, three bedrooms, one ensuite, a huge separate bathroom and a separate toilet.
The absolutely best feature is the deck, with lots of space to sit, dine or simply relax.
Be aware that Cape Tribulation is a rainforest, so insects are expected.
Also note that the beach is accessible via a private walking path only. While the walk is beautiful in terms of nature and wildlife, it is a 500m walk.

Our host was friendly and went over and above to ensure we were comfortable
We loved the off-grid setup, however as we do cloth nappies we require a hot wash cycle on the washing machine and it would have been helpful to know this wasn’t an option beforehand so we could have prepared ourselves differently

I had been eyeing off this property for years but it was always booked out and I finally got to stay for 2 nights what a beautiful house in a amazing remote location you can walk through the rainforest to your own private beach a short drive and your at PK's Jungle Village, Cafes and Mason's swimming hole.

Large deck made for easy living. Access to the rainforest and beach were a plus. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Seeing the local cassowary on site was a bonus.

Simple spacious property with generous outdoor area. The outstanding surprise of the property was the stunning forest on the walk down to the beach. And the beach was wild and quiet - great for walks at low tide. Jess (contact person) was very friendly and helpful.
There were difficulties (which were solved) with water pressure and supply, and with access to the available WiFi.
The downpipes to the water tank rub noisily against the wall of the house if there's a wind - very disturbing at night.

The house was amazing, the beach was a stroll through the forest. Very clean and tidy.

The house is so beautiful, more so than the pictures. It is very light and airy, so big with plenty of space to sit around on the deck with the gentle breeze. Located close to the restaurants and activities.
We love walking every morning, so it was great to go down the jungle path to the ocean and head along the beach each day.
4.5
Location was AMAZING! Close to places to eat, Convenience shop, Close to the beach, swimming water holes and other tourist attractions. The property was relaxing and had everything that was needed for a weekend or a week away. Heaps of pillows to choose from. The host was great in offering and very responsive to messages and suggestions in the area.
Master mattress was a little hard. Master bathroom could do with some towel rails. some oven trays for heating food on could be useful.

Nice location with access to own private beach. Easy drive into Cape Tribulation and back to Cow Bay.
Beautiful house with a great deck and open floor plan.
Barbq needs an upgrade as gas pipes rusted through.
Hot water to bathrooms was a bit unreliable.
Needed to put all food stuffs away at night as we had nightly visits from rather large mice.

Location is amazing and the house is absolutely stunning. Better than expected which is rare!!
The washing machine didn’t work well and didn’t dry anything. If very picking would love a tv in the master but o my a bonus.
4.5
The location was beautiful. Quiet and secluded but only a 5 min drive to town. The walk through to the private beach was great, and the 2 cassowaries that walked through the property each morning were a very special bonus
