The food was exceptional, the staff were fantastic, this place oozes charm and makes you quickly question moving to the Finnmark forest with some sled dogs and foraging for local foods under the northern lights. Two nights here was not enough!
Loved everything.

Spacious, warm and comfortable room. Helpful and friendly proprietors. Peaceful location. Love the dogs and dog-sledding experience.

Best accommodation we had during our trip to Nordkapp.
Dinner and Breakfast was excellent!
There is so much love and detail in everything.
4.7
Location, setting, staff, room size breakfast, atmosphere, rates lower compared with other properties.
Only a minor problem: Slanted ceiling in the second floor, easy to bump the head in the room and the bathroom.

Lovely place, very clean, super friendly staff. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. For those of you with celiac, this is a perfect place👍 My girlfriend has celiac disease and felt very comfortable and taken care of. Plenty of extra gluten free options both for breakfast and dinner. The staff were always friendly and easy to help
We were here for midsummer, so 24h daylight. The curtains are not black out, so it stays very bright in the bedroom. On the upside, if you are visiting this place in winter, enough beautiful big windows to enjoy the northern light!
4.7
Great remote location. Clean and cozy houses. Dog sledding heaven
No room service. Can't order food unless you go to specific times, and the next closes place is very far away, and probably closed. There is no menu, so you eat only what they make.

fabulous people, fabulous location, fabulous food, fabulous activities, what more can we say ?

Location was really amazing, so tranquil. The one bedroom cabins have an excellent view. Breakfast was fantastic as was the three course dinner! Dog sledding was super fun and the absolute highlight was the northern lights.
The only thing I can fault them for was that the door to the cabin didn’t have a lock/wouldn’t lock.

What a stunning cabin! We knew from the pictures that it was going to be great, but the real thing was even better.
- The views from the bedrooms and living area provided a kind of tranquillity that just felt amazing
- The entire cabin was very well designed - warm and cosy, clean and comfortable, simple but modern
- Breakfast was delicious and had lots of interesting variety
We stayed for just one night and really wished we had more time here.
Nothing at all

everything was perfect.

Trasti & Trine was simply fantastic. The location was beautiful and fairly remote, and was great to spend some time in nature. We also stayed at Sorrisniva on our trip to Alta, but preferred Trasti & Trine. Our bungalow was perfect - well designed, comfortable & clean - and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. We stayed 2 nights and tried the 5 course tasting menu and the home-style menu which was a great way to sample a range of local food, and the food both nights was up there with most Michelin star restaurants I have visited, albeit in a more cosy & homely setting than most places. On top of being a fantastic hotel and restaurant, the crowning jewel was, of course, the dogs! We did a full day dogsled tour on our first day with Christel, who was a great teacher and guide - so friendly and kind too (thank you!) - and we loved it so much we booked again for the next day! Thank you to everyone at Trasti & Trine for such a wonderful stay!
Can’t really fault Trasti & Trine - they even worked tirelessly to clear the paths after heavy snowfall so it was safe and easy to get around.

Clean, picturesque setting, Scandinavian style, warm
nothing!

A wonderful experience at every level. Wilderness and warmth, elegant but earthy, heavenly huskies and five-star fine food.
Trasti and Trine and their excellent staff make it feel as if it is a relaxing stay with friends, yet the standard of service is exceptional. Our hand-built ‘cottage’ was beautifully designed with vast windows allowing you to sleep in a forest in utter comfort. We saw Northern Lights, we trekked with teams of adorable dogs and we explored the surrounding plains and fjords of this beautiful region.

Lovely property with really nice staff and an amazing restaurant. Had a walk through the husky dog yard and a walk down to the Alta River - all on the property - and a memorable and very high quality restaurant experience.
Not easy to take luggage to your room but they do provide a cart and assistance if required.

The entire vibe was so cozy.
Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. They'd take time to recommend
local hikes, places to visit, and good spots to capture the aurora. The bed was very comfy as well.
The food was incredible! The breakfast spread was vast, and they had amazing coffee options (espresso, cappuccino, etc). They would even make custom egg dishes on request. The multiple course dinners comprised of local fare that was responsibly sourced, skillfully paired, and artfully displayed. The drink menu was also excellent.
If I could give this 11 stars I would. Of the 8 stays I had during my trip throughout Norway, this was my favorite and it wasn't particularly close.
4.7
EVERYTHING! The place as such is very inspiring, kind people, nice facilities, you just have to experience it on your own.
If you like nature, organic food, friendly atmosphere, this is the right place for you to stay at.
We loved the tour de dog kennel where we got so much love from the sled dogs and PUPPIES!
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we'll surely come again.
That we couldn't take some of the puppies back home with us 😄
One small detail - the shower could use a shelf to put soap on.
4.7
The staff were very friendly, breakfast had good choice and variety of healthy foods. What disappointed me is the lack of a hairdryer in bathroom and there was not a single glass neither in the bathroom nor in the bedroom.

Design, Location, Huskies, Restaurant
no real kitchen facility in the cabin

Amazing hotel, very nice environment and welcoming staff. Many activities with dogs are offered. I hiked with the dogs and a guide, it was great. I recommend ! The dinners are also exceptional.

I would rate this accommodation as one of the best I've experienced; really nice cabins, in the middle of the Norwegian arctic forest! We got a cabin with two stories. Bottom floor was a bed room, with great beds, with a glass wall towards the forest. It was like sleeping in the woods, among the trees. There was also a functional bathroom and shower. The top floor was a kind of small lounge, with another big window, stretching up to the ceiling. Had it been winter we would have seen the stars or the aurora light, but in the summer one could look up to the bright sky! We slept like a king and queen!
Then there was a restaurant, serving superfood. We had a three course meal that was really top quality, with good wine to it.
Do I need to tell you that the breakfast was good.
This was a perfect place to stay on the way between the eastern part of arctic Norway and the western shores!

Beautiful cozy cottage with great attention to detail, absolutely delicious food

Really excellent dinner
During night the huskies have been quite noisy

The staff and the room are amazing ....but the food and the restaurant is another level! Incredible, both dinner and breakfast!
