Great place to stay and relax. Lots of interesting cities and places to visit nearby. Very warm and kind welcome and an amazing breakfast, with fresh fruit and cheeses, delicious coffee and much more.
We felt 'at home' within hours and the availability of the big kitchen with fridge is very handy. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the garden and the pool.
The road to the house is bumpy and there is a lot of trash on it. The first impression was a bit of a shock but.. the road leads to a great place!

Extremely helpful, personable hosts, excellent breakfasts and comfortable rooms. Lovely rural location, didn’t feel like a hotel or B&B which was a pleasant change from everyday hotels
Pillows could be better, difficulty finding the property as it is on rough tracks off the main road. Would be good to have a sign at the main road junction

-Friendly and welcoming host
-Very spacious and cosy living room
-wonderful outside area with various areas to relax and enjoy sunshine
-cosy and comfortable room
It's a pity we had to leave early in the morning for our flight, so we couldn't try the breakfast.
One more reason to come back one day :-)

Such an amazing place!
The room was very nice and the surroundings were very peaceful.
Breakfast is a 10 out of 10, both food and atmosphere. The hosts really make you feel at home!

Absolutely loved our hosts, the house, the breakfast and the welcome we received.
Finding the place was a challenge, use Google maps rather than a Sat Nav.

Wonderful house with exceptional garden and terrace, lot of space to spend time or work remotely. Perfect kitchen facilities for cooking. Amazingly rich breakfast with a lot of local stuff. And the best hosts you can wish. Very good place to stay with children (big garden) or if you need to work remotely. You can just have an overnight sleep there, but it is ideal for longer stay as well. And if you have any interest in exotic plants and trees - that's the place for you! Beautiful views (located on the hillside), close to Olhao city.

The breakfast was the best I've ever had travelling around the world. As it's called a Bed and Breakfast this for me already automatically raised my appreciation by 50%. Most of the food is grown in their own garden or by other locals nearby. Lots of variety and also more than enough of it. Everything tasted wonderful and we were thorougly entertained during breakfast by Christoph's stories and information about the area. All while enjoying a great cup of coffee made by Tina. Looking forward to trying a cup from the new machine if that all went as planned.
The place is located on a dirt road so it's not the easiest to get to. This does mean it's wonderfully isolated and quiet.

Absolutely beautiful place with soul, very clean with everything you could ask for.
the best part is Chris and Tina who are the best hosts. Breakfast adding another 100 point for staying there. very recommended.
only minus is road heading to property, it’s not best with low cars.

Our Stay with Christoph and Tina was perfect. We received the most genuine and warming welcome upon arrival, were treated to a beautiful fresh breakfast with home made pancakes, gorgeous fresh fruit, cured meat and cheese as well as a homemade smoothie. The shared facility has everything you could need from a real coffee machine to a meat slicer. The view from the balcony, cosy outdoor area around the pool and indoor area with a piano, it was all beautiful and clearly a purposeful gesture of hosts who thoroughly enjoy facilitating beautiful memories for all who come to this lovely bed and breakfast .
The road up can be awkward in a taxi as it's quite difficult for the driver, it's a lovely walk if you get out before the dirt track though.

The hosts were wonderful, and the house was very lovely. The breakfast was super, but the highlight was how welcoming the hosts, Christoph and Tina were -- they couldn't have been better. Great value too!
Everything was great.

Casa dos Ventos is special because of the wonderful hosts, Tina and Christopher. The are kind, professional, and want their guests to enjoy their stay. Also, the breakfast is wonderful- all fresh, many options.
Although our bathroom was private, it was external.

Breakfast was amazing, welcome fantastic and this is the best stay I have ever had in Olhao. Well done to Christoph and Tina you are lovely hosts that put your guests first. 100% on all that you provided for our stay.
Nothing it was amazing and would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay in Olhao. Do not hesitate to book this if you are planning to stay in this area. We loved it thank you to the both of you and booking.com for providing the information to reserve this hotel.

The freshly prepared breakfast was wonderful, full of flavour and local ingredients, it was a feast and the best of our trip! Fantastic! We only stayed for one night and wish we had booked longer as the accommodation is superb and Christoph and Tina, the hosts were so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble especially given we arrived on a late flight, we couldn't have been made more welcome. We'll definitely stay again when we visit the Algarve.

The location is perfect for those who are looking for peace and time to relax.
The house is exactly like the photos. In our room, the bathroom was outside of it (next door and just for us).
The Hosts are super nice, funnny and the breakfast is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G most of the things are homemade.
We had a great time here. Thanks for everything.
The roads to get to the house can be a little tricky, specialy if you use GPS (not always, but be prepared)! In this case, be prepare to have a nice adventure =P

A beautiful house situated in amazing surroundings. It's nice and quiet and still close enough to Faro and the beach.
The room was really big, as were the common areas. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Felt like a real home to us. We absolutely loved it and wished we could've stayed longer. The hosts were super friendly and great to talk to!

We loved the place, it was beautiful and comfortable in the tranquillity of the countryside. The hosts were super nice and friendly, you really felt at home. We got great advice about the surroundings and places to visit. The breakfast was luxurious! Hoping to visit again soon.

I have stayed at many accomodations over the years from Hobart to Ocracoke and elswhere and I have never met the hospitality and helpness as you find from Christoph and Tina so because of that I return with joy. There is only one Casa dos Ventos!

The never ending hospitality of Christof and Tina, the enormous space, the excellent breakfast and last but not least: nu birthday-cake!
Really, really nothing! Because you can't blame them the weather was a bit disappointing.

Host and hostess where very friendly and accommodating. Good tips of nearby sightseeing and good stories in general. Breakfast is an event worth a stay by itself. Pool was very clean.
The airco was not working very well but the ventilator was working well, so we where happy with this in the end.

The kitchen and living area are spacious and beautifully decorated as are the outside social areas around the pool and on the terraces / verandas of the house. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well organised. The surroundings are peaceful, in the countryside and yet so close to Olhão. Breakfast is amazing. The hosts are a delightful family, convivial and interesting. One could not ask for more!
Something which I think should be noted is that the host family live in their own home next door. They are available if needed, however the guests at Casa dos Ventos do have the house to themselves.

I liked the fact it was countryside but just outside of the town and main towns. The hosts were amazing, very accommodating and upgraded my room as there was only me and my son there on the first night of our stay. The pool was perfect and a great addition when travelling with children. A shared kitchen with full access. Tv in the room with Netflix. Breakfast was great, more than enough to eat. Locally grown produce. I will definitely be returning to this little gem of a place.
There was nothing I didn’t like. I would just say that you need to travel by car/access to transport for easier access to this place.

The amazing breakfast outdoors, the peaceful and relaxing place, the pool view and the staff. Lovely and gentle family that received us. To come back for sure!

• Our hosts are great: We ended up extensively conversing with them every morning and also got great hints on where to go and what to look out for.
• Breakfast was also a highlight, not just in terms of choice and volume, but also in that it varied a bit every day in special components like a little muesli presented in half an empty orange that presumably had contributed to the freshly pressed juice. Noticeable was also the use of local produce – I opted to have a tasty tea every morning made from freshly cut lemongrass.
• The building available to guests is generous, and only due to spending our days on the road/beach did we get to hardly use the balcony, sun loungers, pool, luxurious living room (with TV and piano) and large kitchen.
• As our room was attended to every day and had a canopy bed, at times it gave the impression of being in a hotel. (By the way, there were so few insects that we never 'closed' the canopy.) (Some may not like that unlike in a hotel, our room's bathroom was only accessible via the hallway, but to us this was not a problem.)
• The environment was calm (except the cock crowing) and let one forget about the fact that the property is so close to Faro.
• While there may be no reason to assume otherwise, let me mention that the WiFi was stable and water pressure and the time to wait for warm water were also good.
To find negatives, one has to dig deep:
• Although there was hardly any traffic, I'd recommend always using the western approach, as the gravel road to the east is too narrow should there ever be an oncoming car.
• The bed was a bit short for me (1.84m), but given the climate it was not essential to tightly tuck in one's feet. :)
• The bathroom bin was usually hard to open because it didn't fit well between WC and bidet.
