Everything, really lovely, comfortable cottage. Much nicer than the pics.Very spacious and peaceful. Easy parking. Very friendly, helpful host. Left us alone once we were settled but made sure we had her number if we needed her.
Hadn’t realised the property was up such a remote track - beautiful location with gorgeous views. Possibly some cars would struggle if they were low to the ground and wouldn’t fancy driving up there in the dark!
Slightly earlier check in and later check out would make the stay a little more relaxing but the cottage was immaculately clean and obviously this takes time.

Lovely cottage. Photos don’t do it justice. Very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of 4.
Nothing. There was mention of the potholes on the road leading up to the farmhouse but if you take it slowly it’s fine. Plus Chris warned us of this in advance.

Nice and quiet location
Comfortable clean beds
The cottage needs better signs on the approach lane.
It took us a good 40 mins to locate from the main road area.
We damaged our car because the lane was more than ‘a little uneven in places’ as explained to us when receiving travel instructions. The road would suit farm vehicles and 4 x wheel drive vehicles with little problems.
We encountered large potholes and water culverts which caused some damage to our exhaust and we ordered taxis to take us out for our friends party, the reason we travelled over, at a cost of £32 return journey an expense we were not expecting to incur.
Your property would also benefit from some updating as the furniture throughout was rather old and tired.
The hot water tap in the bathroom is damaged and needs immediate attention. No bathroom mirror above the wash basin was odd.
Sadly we would not return.

Lovely remote countryside
Spacious, comfortable

The property is self contained, very clean and I would say almost new. Being in the countryside, the location is wonderfully quiet with an added bonus that the proprietor had pit ponies.
The views are quite stunning.
Just a question not a gripe. The drinking water is pumped from a well and “filtered”. All fine but I just wonder whether it is of proven potability, ie it undergoes a process of say, for example, chlorination.

Chris was really welcoming and helpful. Was really happy to find a place welcoming a baby (cot was provided) and a dog, with a group of adults.
Cosy living room with toys and games, and spacious kitchen.
Really enjoyed our stay, and the location was ideal for us, with family nearby.
Hard pushed to put a negative, would note that the road is very bumpy so drive with care!

Great accommodation in a beautiful location. Our host responded to messages quickly and we had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others

The location was beautiful and the house was very clean, spacious and full of character with everything we needed (including a travel cot, highchair and toys)
I'm finding it hard to find something I didn't like although the bumpy dirt road leading up to the house wasn't great. Fortunately we have an old car that I'm not too worried about

Lovely cottage
4.5 / 5.0
The cottage is located on a farm site, so the route is a little bumpy and contains unlit single track road. But this means that the location is fantastic as a starting point for walks as you are already in the countryside. Parking was not a problem and the host (Chris) was very welcoming.
For a property of this style everything was fine...

An amazing cottage and beautiful views in the garden. Me and my family loved our stay here. Also the staff were very friendly, thank you for accommodating to our needs! 😊
More lighting on the the pathways/roads leading upto the cottage as can be quite difficult to get there when dark. Other that that everything else was great! Thanks again!!

Peaceful quiet clean comfortable. Fully equipped.Chris was very warm welcoming and friendly. The landscape view of the countryside is breathtaking. Natures window! Stone drive narrow in places to the top of the hill to the property but was ok in my work van. Will be booking again and would highly recommend. Many thanks

Excellent views over the moors. Very nice garden which you can sit in . We saw a deer in it one night.
The barn conversion is stylishly done and you can enjoy the thought of being behind 80cm thick walls as well. There is plenty of hot water for the clean & modern bathroom. The bedrooms are pleasant and the beds are very comfortable.
The family who run the farm are friendly and you will see the farm's hens & horses around. We expect we will choose the cottage again for our next visit to Rossendale.
The pathway up to the farm (you are about 300m above sea level) is not for very nervous drivers but it is OK for normal front-wheel drive cars with decent tyres . I would not recommend it for cars with very low clearance above the ground.
The farm is quite isolated so if you are hoping to pop out anywhere you would have to take the car.

Quite and no concerns as regards security as we had valuable items in the van

The views! It is a lovely setting and Chris made us very welcome.
"The holiday home features 2 bathrooms with a shower."
No it doesn't. There is one bathroom with shower and a downstairs toilet. We had particularly chosen this property for separate facilities for us and our guest.....

Ideal if you want to get away from everything. We stayed here to get away from the Fireworks as our dog is scared. Friendly hosts. Lovely pub at the bottom and great food!

Location is fantastic. I mean if you like morning views then I think you'd be hard pushed to be beaten on this one! It's up a long dirt track but if I can get up there no problem with my van & trailer then anybody can. Instructions to get there were spot on even in the pitch black. Good communication and we arrived later than planned but it wasn't an issue. If I'm in the area again then I'll be staying here again.
Nothing.

Absolutely loved the location and facilities. Chris the host is a lovely lady and so welcoming. Would really recommend this place for families as the pony trekking was a big hit with my children. Chris even organised a pumpkin hunt which was brilliant!
