Pleasant

Location is great, close to busstops and beach front. Love the restaurant on premises.

The shower was really a big problem...only cold or very hot water. Also the interior needs a upgrade...Tiles broken in the bathroom and couch is very uncomfortable. Previous visit we slept at the hotel that had beautiful rooms also rated 3 stars but felt like 4 because of the beautiful interior.

The most relaxing holiday ever, in a beautiful lush but very quiet country.

The apartment was lovely, well equipped although the oven/grill pot was not very adequate. The pool was fine and the private beach really good. We enjoyed the evening entertainment. The bus to Mount Choissy was easily accessible and cheap and the beach was beautiful. One of the best beaches we saw by far.

The map on Booking.com showed the hotel much much nearer to Grande Bai than we realised. We were fully under the impression we could walk to the town. You could not walk at night as dark and little street lighting. The pavements disappeared at times also. We had to get a bus anywhere which stopped at 7.30pm then had to get a relatively expensive taxi back to hotel as could not get home any other way. This meant we had to stay within the hotel as there were very few restaurants nearby. We could not also take strolls along the beach as turning left you could not go anywhere and turning right you could not walk very far.

Wish we had stayed at the hotel run apartments.

The beach was secluded enough, and good location. Bus service is good during the day up to 19:30.

Air conditioning was very poor, only blew warm air. The owner was told about it but did seem too worried about it. Toaster packed up on the first time we used it, about a week and half into the holiday, but was replaced with a slightly less faultier one, which was replaced by a new one. Badly damages free standing light with the shade just balancing on top and exposed wires in the living room. Extremely dangerous, pulles out the plug from socket. Had issues with cleaner in regards that we came two days in a row to find someone had come into the room and drink half a can of beer and put it back in the fridge. How stupid. Of course she did not own up to it as her religion stopped her from drinking alcohol. Did not realise this aprtment is by a property mangement who happens to the owner at the last minute.

The beach was close by

The water was very slow, it did not have a kettle, toaste etc as mentioned. It did not even have a bottle water in the room. When we arrived , nobody even showed us where our room is , really no interest . The restaurants only sold buffet

Will not reccomend Ocean Villas.

The photos did not look like the actual resort at all. It shows a pool on the beach-nothing like that. It was advertised as part of the hotel, only to find out upon arrival it is a private unit. When we had a medical emergency and did not have the key there was no access to reception.

They were too friendly to us especially the woman who was cleaning the room was so nice everyday cleaned the room perfectly the owner siran and everyone was always inreterested in your all needs. Wifi is working nonstop garden is full of palm trees pools are clean everytime İt was our honeymoon if you especially going for honeymoon you should choose there and be sure that everything will be ok thanks for everyhing we stayed 3 different place in Mauritius but you were best 👍

Just WOW, best value, best position in Grand Baie

Wow, this beach bungalow was perfect for our 9 day holiday in Mauritius. The apartment is spacious clean and comfortable. Plus a bonus of a garden patio. The apartment is a private bungalow within the Ocean Villas hotel and as a resident you have access to the hotel facilities such as the private beach and swimming pool. Use of the restaurant and spa are on a pay as you use basis. The location in Grand Baie is convenient and quiet, just a short way away from the hustle and bustle of Grand Baie CBD. There is ample parking if you rent a car or scooter. The premises are safe and secure with a 24 hour security guard and access control. The apartment bathroom has a double sink and a shower with many options for pressure settings.The airconditioner and fan were a welcome relief from the heat and humidity outside. The kitchenette is equipped with cutlery, crockery, glasses, cups and mugs. There is also a kettle, microwave, fryer and a brand new fridge/freezer. The apartment was serviced daily which was included and we never interacted with the cleaner as we left early every day and by the time we returned at noon, the bungalow was as neat as a pin. The magnificent swimming pool was 15 steps from our door and the private beach just 25 steps futher along. Both the pool and the beach have loungers and options for shade. The beach kitchen restaurant where we had a lunch was great. The food was delicious and well presented, the staff friendly and the service excellent and reasonably priced. I want to add a special thank you to Cyran who was always available on Whatsapp for any queries. At first reading some negative reviews had me concerned about Ocean Villas Apart Hotel and after speaking with him and understanding the difference between the hotel and Cyran's property I knew we had made the correct choice. We will definitely stay there again and again and again.

There is not much that we didn't like, just that we had to buy some adapters to accommodate our cell phone chargers. We left the behind for future guests.

1. the owner is very helpful, trusty and nice person available to any of your question 2. pool and beach are very nice 3. good location 4. apartment is pretty decent and comfortable 5.

1. rent a car, or buy a sim card so you can move around with the bus or by walk, because taxi is too expensive, they will try to take as much money from you as possible 2. wi-fi is not bad, but not great either 3. the shower is either too cold or too hot, there is no balance, which is a problem when showering 4. hygiene is good maintained but there is a specific smell through whole apartment, just freshen up the space, get a nice softener etc. 5. food at hotel restaurant is below average 6. important to know that villa is not a part of the hotel, so you don't have a reception, or anyone you can turn to, you're on your own there, so just organize yourself well and this place will be beautiful place to stay at

WE WERE CHARGED TWICE FOR THE STAY INSTEAD OF ONCE £230 INSTEAD OF £147........QUITE WRONG BUT AN ERROR I THINK
