A lovely relaxing stay near Bergerac with great facilities.

The location next to the river was excellent with a peaceful setting, a lovely heated pool and great accommodation. The recommendations for restaurants and other activities were great too. Overall a great holiday.

Not much - given the closeness to the river perhaps mosquito screens would be helpful so we could have the windows etc open to keep the house cool without the uninvited guests. :)

A fantastic french farmhouse on the beautiful Dodogne river with everything you need for a completely relaxed holiday.

The space was amazing and location gorgeous next to the river. The pool was perfection. Everything clean and well presented, great ambience.

Ideal in all aspects

Location is just right. We travelled with 2 little ones and they found being 5-10 minutes from everything ideal. The house is super cool and comfortable, the pool made a great impression too.

Simply brilliant! Relaxing and amazing sunrise by the river

We truly enjoyed our stay. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and seemed to love what she does. We couldn’t recommend Le Gite enough!

Superb

The location was close to the town. Not really walking distance at the time of year we visited, but convenient.

The bed was firmer than we're used to but it seems like that's a European thing. Although there is a pool heated pool, it wasn't useable during our visit. I'm assuming that means it's only open during the summer months.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful gite with fabulous hosts

The Gite and grounds are beautiful. The hosts Corinne and Damien are the nicest people you could hope to meet and they went above and beyond what we expected of them. Corinne’s English is excellent. Having the use of 2 bicycles to cycle into Bergerac was a bonus.

There were a few mosquitos around when we visited and I would have packed more insect repellent and antihistamines.

Amazing find. Relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. Hosts were so friendly and helpful.

Quiet location and situated next door to owners property. The house has been beautifully renovated with modern bathrooms and kitchen whilst retaining that unique french feel. Furnishings and decoration were top class and crockery, glasses and utensils were plentiful. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the beds and linen were high quality. The pool was heated and the gardens were lovely to relax in.

Not able to walk safely into city as no pavements on main road.

The host, Corinne was welcoming and friendly, setting us up for many great days out. The area is lovely and the property has everything that you need, including some well chosen wines at reasonable prices.
