Location , Location, Location. In the center of the old city with access to rooftop terrace with incredible views of the old city and Diocletian Palace. Kitchen had most things but could use general ( non-espresso) coffee maker. Darko was very helpful getting us situated.
We paid 96 euros for 3 days parking in back of Tommy’s grocery store!!! Difficult getting our luggage in and out but worth the effort. Also booked via Booking.com but when we arrived, we had to pay cash. That was not stated when booking. Luckily Darko came back on the 2nd day to get the money.

Fantastic location within in palace walls. Host Darko couldn’t have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Apartment was spacious, impeccably clean and tidy and well stocked. The rooftop terrace overlooking the old town and harbour was a big bonus.

The location of this apartment was incredible, right in the centre of the Palace. It was spotlessly clean and was very well equipped. The roof terrace had the best view directly of the sea and city rooftops, but more incredible was the direct view of the clock tower.
The apartment was on 3rd floor so jot suitable for those with mobility issues, and the stairs that led to the terrace were extremely steep and narrow. This did not affect us in anyway.

It was spacious and had a fantastic roof top terrace with a well stocked fridge.

the location
The layout. It didn’t have a common gathering space. It felt disjointed.

The location of this apartment cannot be understated. It is inside the walls of the Diocletian Palace, steps away from the Temple of Jupiter. It has three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The layout is similar to a "railroad-style" apartment with a long hallway connecting all the rooms. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, but you probably won't use it. There are restaurants, cafes and bakeries literally right outside of the apartment. It is a lively location. You can hear the buzz of people walking, talking and eating at restaurants. We enjoyed the sounds and it was non-issue if you closed the windows. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern, clean with good water pressure. Each room has an air conditioning unit. Be aware that there is no main living room inside the apartment. The main bedroom is a suite with its own large bathroom and sitting area. The private roof top terrace more than makes up for any lack of inside communal space. The terrace is unbelievable. The views are spectacular - not to mention the honor bar that was restocked daily with local wine and bottled water. Lastly, Zadro and Darko were fantastic! Darko picked us up at the Split airport, led us to the apartment (trust me, you will need his help finding it), and heaved our heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. When it was time to go, he helped us move out and find our transfer to the next city. I cannot say enough great things about Apartment Baco and the managers of this property. Do not hesitate to rent it!

Darko made us feel welcome meeting us at the parking lot outside old town and helping with luggage. He did the same at check-out. The rooftop terrace is fabulous and we spent much time there. Worth so many flights of stairs. Heater were great. The apartment had everything we needed for a fun stay in spite of the slightly quirky layout. You can't beat the old town location.

Location was perfect. Right in the heart of the city but not noisy. The terrace was fabulous with great views and comfy seats.
Darko picked us up from the airport and helped with our bags, collected us again to return to the airport via covid test centre. What a gent.
Nothing . It was a perfect place to stay

Roof to patio and location primo!
Fantastic find! Our other accommodations canceled on us and we were so lucky! Beautiful location with rooftop lounge overlooking Clock Tower and sea. Apt very clean and comfortable and cool! Even has washing machine. Darko met us (no easy feat. Be sure you have cell service) and helped us to apt . 3 floor walk up. He generously walked us around the old town and showed us around. Thank you for your hospitality! Highly recommend!

What an amazing quirky apartment inside the walls of Diocletian's Palace. Spacious apartment with large lounge, kitchen and bedrooms with two bathrooms. TV in each bedroom and lounge. Kitchen had everything you need for a self catering break, including coffee machine. Definitely an apartment with a view with access to a large furnished roof terrace which overlooked the sea and the old town. Zoran even stocked the fridge on the terrace with honesty bar! Restaurants, bars and shops outside your door! Communication with Zoran was good and he arranged for Darko to meet us with the keys. Darko was very friendly and helpful - an absolute legend! Even took us to the airport for our flight home (via the Covid testing centre). Would not hesitate to book again.
Nothing, we loved it!

Location is amazing! Big spacious apartment with a very nice roof top terrace. Cold beers, wine and cokes were in the fridge (a nice touch)
Needs a little maintenance. Blinds in the bedroom were stuck and couldn’t be closed, so let in early sunlight. Bathroom toilet holder kept falling off. The shower is just a handheld shower head with no high holder.
Some points to note: 3 flights of stairs with no lift was not mentioned. It’s not child friendly, very nice ornaments are in the apartment.

Brilliant location. Wonderful apartment with amazing views and Zoran very kindly arranged for us to be met at the airport and taken to the apartment which made our arrival easy.

Right around the corner from the Marko Marulic Statue and a 3 minute walk from the water, this place is large - with a true master bedroom suite, two other bedrooms with shared bathroom, a half bathroom, and a kitchen. The building appears to be extremely old, so the layout is odd, and lots of compromises have been made to retrofit it for modern conveniences. There is a private roof top terrace, usable only for the renter of this one apartment. The views from there were great, and we expect there would often be cool sea breezes, too. However, when we were visiting, Croatia was having a record heat wave, so we enjoyed the roof top the first night, but it was just too hot the second night. That said, this apartment has air conditioning units in every room, and if you wished, you could make this place feel like you were living inside a refrigerator. After a long fun but hot day on the sea, a cold shower and then that air conditioning was such a welcome break from the heat.
There is no elevator, and this apartment requires you to climb many stairs. When we arrived, the property manager met us to let us in and show us around, which was very nice, and he even helped with a heavy suitcase, but if you’re on a long trip with heavy bags, keep these stairs in mind.
This place is a bit funky. Not sure how else to say that. Obviously we liked it, and we were comfortable there - and we thought the location was fantastic. But retrofitting the very old space left it a bit odd.
FYI - and this is not a complaint, just some advice - parking near this apartment is expensive. If we’d been staying longer, we would have moved our car to a less expensive lot, but be warned - the lot that’s close is very expensive. (The apartment’s property manager told us that - so we knew the issue, but were still somehow surprised by just how expensive it was.).

As others have said, the roof top terrace is fantastic. It is fully furnished including an outside kitchen, cold drinks provided by the host on an honour system, comfortable seating, dining area and loungers. The views are also fantastic.
Again as others have said, it is a steep narrow climb up to the roof from the corridor outside the flat, rather than via inside stairs. Also the owner has access to the roof terrace to reach his own flat so it is not entirely private but we only saw him once.

Our location was great, right in the middle of the Old Town and it’s bars and restaurants and the roof terrace had views of the harbour and Bell Tower.
The accommodation facilities were good for us as a couple but would also suit a large family group.
Zoran, the owner, thought of everything to make our stay as easy as possible from the range of teas in the cupboard to the beers in the fridge on the roof terrace - good Croatian hospitality.
Sorry Zoran, but the exercise needed to climb the three flights of stairs would suite a younger couple better.

Owner Zoran has turned apartment into a small palace with beautiful views, airco in every room and honor bar on the roof terrace.
Steps could be an issue.
