This is a front-line second-floor apartment which, when you walk from the ground floor, is literally a 30 second walk to the beach/ promenade or cycle route. From the moment the property was booked, the management agency stayed in helpful contact with us. We arrived about an hour early and were prepared to wait but Cathy was happy to come over to give us the keys and show us around. This is quite a large apartment and the main attraction is the wide balcony with pretty much ceiling to floor windows overlooking the marina and the bay. In fact, the view was so good, we moved from the bedroom to the folding bed (very comfortable) in the lounge so we could enjoy the views. The area is well-known for its storms in winter and we arrived right in the middle of one which lasted for two days. However, the apartment remained cozy and warm offering fantastic views of the storm at sea. The infrastructure of the building is late 1960's but the furniture and appliances provided are all reasonably modern. For anyone else who might stay in winter, a tip is that the French wooden windows really do need to be pushed at the top and bottom to seal them shut. If you don't do this properly, the wind will find a way in with resulting sound effects. Once we replaced the batteries in the Freeview handset, we had French, UK and international stations on the TV. The wifi is probably not fully secure but fine for catching up on news, email etc. It was more than adequate at 5mbps. The bathroom, towels and bedding were immaculate and overall, the apartment had been prepared spotlessly.
Although we visited in late November, there are still plenty of restaurants and shops open through the day - either a short walk or drive away. The seafood was fresh wherever we ate and from the apartment balcony, you can watch the oyster boats racing home from the Oyster Beds in the Basin every afternoon. Highly recommended property and area.

The host was waiting for us at the time of our arrival. She was very helpful to show us the apartment.
Nothing that I can think of. Everything was simple and the apartment featured everything that we needed. Top notch.

Location, balcony, parking
Faulty shower door (fell off during use!).
Mirror on bathroom door falling off and door jammed.
Mirror on bathroom wall with light and socket pulling away from wall.
Lamp in front room dad exposed wires.
WiFi not adequate; unsecured ‘subscription’ service that is not appropriate for this level of accommodation.
TV ‘Freebox’ that needed resetting after each use.
All windows/balcony doors stiff and difficult to lock.
Landing outside apartment dangerous; stairs fall straight outside of door and edges are unmarked, poor lighting .
Toilet seat chipped.

Beautiful and comfortable apartment with one master bedroom and an additional room where a sleeping couch can be used as a double bed (comfortable). The additional room is separated from the living room by a curtain. The bathroom has two doors and, thus, can be accessed from the master bedroom as well as the additional room. Very convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped and very practical. The hosts are very nice.
The location is great. The beach is directly accessible. A tap is located in the back of the building, so sandy feet can be cleaned before getting back to the building.
There is a great balcony, where we usually were eating while enjoying the vue ot the Bassin.

Spacious, comfortable apartment in a top location. Very clean throughout. Large balcony with a spectacular view of the port and the bay. Easy 15/20 minute walk to town along the boardwalk. Cycling paths everywhere. Private parking with committed spot next to the entrance. Roomy living area with TV and WiFi that work. Chairs, table and transats on the balcony. Beach just in front. Well-equipped kitchen. Good shower. Pleasantly surprised to find essentials (water, juice, wine) in the refrigerator. Friendly and helpful welcome from Francoise.
