A special getaway

Beautiful house in a fantastic location. From the restaurant you have the most gorgeous view over vineyards onto the lake. We were on foot so it was a bit of a hike up the hills but it was worth it. Unfortunatelly we didn't know that the restaurant was closed monday through wednesday when we booked. But the staff was very helpful. We got to taste their wines and it overall a quiet and special place.

We did not see a note befofe booking that the restaurant was closed foe 3 days during the week. We booked because we wanted to try it. So that was unfortunate

A unique, quiet hilltop villa with amazing view and even more amazing food. One not to be missed.

Staying at Villa Kabala is a unique experience that I can recommend to all who like the north shore of Lake Balaton and enjoy fine dining. The location of the property high on the hillside ensures it is quiet with an amazing view overlooking the lake. The kitchen is listed in the Michelin guide and lived up to its reputation - we had amazing meals every time we sat down in their dining room. Thank you Petra, Peter, and all the staff for making our anniversary stay so memorable.

We will be back!

Exceptional gourmet breakfast, beyond our expectations, made of the best quality ingredients with care. The staff (the owners and everyone) is so friendly, professional, attentive and kind. When you are there, you must try their lunch or dinner. The view from our room's and the restaurant's terrace is dreamy.

Rooms are a bit smaller than a usual hotel room, but the bed is comfortable and the space is utilized the best way possible.

The house itself is truly amazing from inside and out! The interioir design and atmosphere was amazing. The room was small but we had everything what you need for a confy long weekend stay

The best of the hotel is the breakfast and restaurante food, they have a very good chef, you cannot miss to eat here. The location is also very nice with lot of options for hiking or go to balaton. The staff was very kind too.

exceptional place with amazing view and great breakfast. we came by bike during our Balaton-tour and the climb is absolutely worth it. very kind people working in the hotel. it was a pleasure.

Superb

We are so happy we took the 6 course degustation menu, it was the highlight of our stay. The dinner was then followed by a superb breakfast. Villa Kabala has definitely spoiled us with some great culinary experience, friendly staff and a really nice view over the Balaton.

The rooms are rather small.

The location and the environment were wonderful, staff is very friendly and kind and the breakfast was amazing good. :)

We had a small room (we knew that, it was not a problem) but we had a small bed with frames around so we did not have comfortable place on it and we could not sleep well. I have always hit my arms or legs somewhere to the frames. (I am 186 cm high so not extrem long. :) ) I think a simple double bed without any frames would be much more comfortable.

Hidden romance

Of course the location and the view is amazing, but the property itself is charming, romantic, yet each and every detail is picked with caution and good taste. The building is amazing both from exterior and interior, the staff is extra lovely and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come back, so I can only recommend to those visiting Szigliget. Szigliget is also a lovely place :)
