There was a strong odor in the water on the beach in front of the hotel next to the pier, as if they were dumping sewage there. We paid for 7 nights but only stayed 6 nights, since due to a flight connection problem we arrived a day late. Despite this, we had to wait 3 hours to get into our room, when it should have been available to us, since we had already paid for it.
Finally, the service provided by the waiters at the hotel was always very poor. This part was really disappointing.

Private island, facilities
Cocktails too sweet, evening entertainment could have been a lot better. Had no idea about morning yoga and tennis lessons etc which would have made a major difference to our stay. Only found out by stumbling to the tennis courts, we got no tour around the hotel for us to see everything that was available to us

Restaurant options. Had a great meal at every restaurant.
Piano bar was a blast.
Private island was so peaceful.
Not crowded anywhere.
Simply had a great time.
Some of the staff not friendly.

Pool, Island and piano bar
I was disappointed in the room and view. We stayed East wing had a few of old houses asked to be move they moved us up but the room and bathroom and small patio outdated. Noone to help to get a taxi in the evening 7:30 to go to Casino. There should be someone there at least until 10:00 p.m. The consior desk was not knowledgeable about things to do.

The food was fantastic. The staff in the actual restuarants and cleaners and bars were great. The set up and location was lovely. Not too busy . Trips good .
The staff on reception were rude - therefore when we go there we were met by a team who did not seem to like visitors and we were in a negative space thinking what have we booked. It was bazaar as after a few hours and meeting the restuarant teams - bar teams - no other staff were like this - they were lovely. Clearly a culture of the reception as we had further interactions and the mood was the same - unhelpful and basically rude. - they are front of house and actually gave us the wrong impression of who you are.
The Booking we made - possibly our fault as we didnt look carefully enough - rooms no balconies - at this cost - i would have laways expected a balcony and in. europe we would not have rooms without baconies unless in a 2 star hotel- again staff rude about this - and they could have helped us as we would have paid more - rooms not always cleaned. Wardrobes did not close and shower hanging off wall - nothing sorted on these issues .

Location w a s great....checking in was nice didn't have to worry about the bags
Wish they would of told us to make reservations RIGHT away we did not get to eat where we wanted, time to late....hot water wasn't working I guess the whole floor didn't work....602 ect....hate to spend that kind of money to get a shower that doesn't work right! Food ok where we did eat!

All restaurants and bars are just perfect. Especially the Sushi, Steak and Italian restaurant were exceptional!
The rooms were really not great. Not renovated at all (in the building we stayed in).

Room was a good size. Nice beach. Good food.
Music volume played by pool was ear-bleedingly loud. Service was inconsistent at best, mostly non-existent when needed.

Had a great holiday, very good atmosphere within the days and evenings, friendly bar staff and the offshore private island was a great extra!
Long wait times for to be seated at the restaurants, most nights where a minimum of 45 mins, even when booking restaurants we had a good half hour wait before we were seated. As well as this the towels within our rooms were not replaced once meaning we had to call concierge most evenings to get fresh ones. On one occasion we requested new towels three times yet they were never received.

The resort is on the small side, which was perfect for us. The private island is the best part, I highly recommend spending at least one full day out there. All of the food was excellent. Espresso martinis and the piano bar were perfect! Overall a great stay.
The beach at the main resort isn’t great. The restaurants requiring reservations were booked full the whole time we were there. The resort isn’t close to downtown Nassau and we found the public bus system was unreliable on a Saturday.

We thought everything about this resort was terrific. The facilities are lovely, with a compact/cozy feel compared to some other resorts we have stayed in, but we really loved the chilled out vibe and different zones (quiet pool, party pool, coconut grove, and beach). The offshore island was a really special highlight too. Our butlers Dijon, Dylan, and Denise were lovely as were all of the staff. And we thought the food was very nice (highlights were La Plume breakfasts, Gordon’s steak, Kimonos teppanyaki, and Kanoo Caribbean lunches). We would 100% stay here again and we are honestly mystified by some of the negative reviews. We have travelled the world over and eaten in 1, 2, and 3 Michelin star restaurants and we thought everything was perfectly lovely.

Great location with a lovely beach, rooms in the West Bay are newly refurbished and modern. Numerous restaurants to choose from with a decent standard of food. Great drinks. Private beach is lovely and worth a visit. Gordons was probably the best meal we had. Having a butler made a lot of difference - private transfer, they make restaurant reservations, reserve sunbeds etc.
Nothing really, although on our last day our keys stopped working before we checked out, we were given access to a room to shower in that was dubiously clean and the wifi access is cut off after check out even though we had another 7 hours to kill before our transfer to the airport.

the setup of the swimming pools, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. At 11,00am the pool boys would take the unused towels away from the sun beds. this was great because many people place their beach towels at 07.00am and never show up. Keep this procedure going!!! Always enough availability in the restaurants although Christmas time. staff very friendly and helpful. plenty of food and varieties.
the noise of the airco.

I like how the meals were all included.
Too much miscommunication with information about the resort. I was told there were other restaurants, spas, etc on the other part of the island. We went and there was only one restaurant and no spa, with no other amenities. Very Disappointing. The staff caters heavily to the white population. We were told breakfast was over at 10:30am and we had to take our food to go. When white couples came, the information about breakfast was not given to them. There was suppose to be an orientation, but the front desk staff knew nothing about it. Too much money for the trip for the treatment we received as people of color. A Great Disappointment!!!

great location and staff.
Sandals advertising a room on booking.com which had important features such as balcony and outdoor furniture when this was not included. Booked under false pretence. No compensation so far after several times asking. deeply disappointed by sandals company. hotel staff were great though.

great music
service was hit and miss
for a well known brand and for the price you pay, unfortunately Sandals haven’t quite got it right on my opinion.
most of staff enjoy their work, dancing away to the music played in the resort every day.
some staff just dont want to be there

The breakfast options were just ok. We did in-room dining twice and that was better than the buffet options.

Lots of facilities including the best one which is the private hotel island which you pop over to in the hotel boat. There are also three pools, several restaurants - from fancy to street food trucks. Room was good - decent size, comfortable bed. Mini-bar / drinks all included. Food all included.
Once pool is very noisy - ie dance / pop music all day, some days pool parties with bubbles etc. Note - there is a similar sized pool which is "quiet" so I guess the hotel has to cater for younger people as well as older. The only issue was were were in a room next to noisy pool (and music goes until 11pm I think).. We didnt know any it should have been an option. Also hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We walked to nearby casino / hotel resort and it was a good 30 mins walk down the side of the road.

check in messed up our room , someone’s bags were there , and they had drank the champagne, used the shower and eaten strawberries left, Brigid happened twice then we we unpacked they moved us into another room, we had booked oceanview with balcony and even after messing up our room so many times no upgrade eand we actually ended up being in a room with no balcony, what we had paid for but room was still beautiful and they sent us up a cake but just not the entrance for our Honeymoon
