The location is cool, toilet and shower were clean and ac is cold
Unfortunately my room is over looking the backyard on the bar area. So it got so noisy until super late. Also the kitchen doesn’t have any stoves, only microwaves

Nice common area
Hair dryer in the bathroom didn’t work. Vending machine was broken and there wasn’t any other

Fabrika is a very cool place to stay in while in Tbilisi. The overall environment is friendly and relaxing, with plenty of plants. In the courtyard, many shops and bars/restaurants in which is possible to have food and drinks.
The young and friendly staff seemed sometimes not very engaged in their role and not always able to provide suggestions/support.
The cleanness of the bed sheets needs to be improved.

Tiles in the bathroom
I was disappointed by what I saw. For the same money you can rent a cool flat in the old town, and they will leave you a bottle of Georgian wine with churchkhela. The windows looked out into the courtyard where there are a lot of bars. It was incredibly loud. The rooms were a bit dirty, it was as if the windows had never been cleaned. The air conditioning does not fulfil its function, it just blows air and it does not affect anything. Room for two people, but towels for one person. Careful using the lift, better to use the stairs.

Really cool hostel with a vibrant nightlife in its courtyard. The room's soviet-chic aesthetics were really funky, while the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine. A (donation-based) free walking tour starts from the hotel on Sundays, which was really worth taking.
A bottle of wine - along with the complimentary unopened bottles of water provided by the hostel - disappeared from our private room while we were out for the day. We reported that to the reception staff, who have assured us that it was not taken by the maintenance personnel and nobody else could have entered our room; and by that, without saying or doing anything else, they concluded the problem solved. Seems like either they thought we just made it up for whatever reason, or they probably weren't surprised at all because this wasn't the first time for something like this to happen.
Obviously we didn't have much trust left about the security of the room after that. It's a shame because otherwise the place was unique and nice.

This is a design led hostel, and I was drawn to the idea of staying in a former sewing factory, and seeing how they have transformed the place. Everything looks streamlined, and they have the staff members to maintain day to day. There is an eco-system of bars, restaurants, design shops etc within the complex, so staying here definitely is an experience.
I was greeted by a very grumpy receptionist, cold, nonchalant woman in her mid twenties, and that set off the whole experience on the wrong footing. Before I was able to check in, there was a guest requesting for a towel, and she received it without any issue. I asked for the same towel later, and I was charged 6 lari for "renting" the towel. I understand that this is a massive hostel with 400 beds, so they are reluctant to provide every guest with a free towel, and I cannot imagine the washing that would come with those towels. But when I checked in, I was not "briefed" that a towel won't be provided for free, and I was not asked if I needed a towel. I only realised they don't provide a towel when I get to my bed. I understand that you have a policy to "rent" towels, but this policy was not reinforced consistently.
I was working on my laptop at 10pm on a Friday, and I had my own beer and snack. A staff member felt the need to come over and tell me that "drinks and food from outside of the establishment are not allowed". I didn't realise I was staying in a branded hostel with their own drinks and food with the Fabrika logo all over it. I wonder what happens if I buy a 5 lari beer from the courtyard and bring it inside.
The room that I stayed in, a 12-bed room, is very cramped and people leave their belongings all over the place. There is no cloth hanger, hook or any intention to help people organise their stuff. This was not yet winter, and I can't imagine what people would do with their coats and jackets during winter time. Lockers are provided, but these are very narrow ones that can only fit a regular rucksack, not a 40 L backpack.
Many of the shower cabins on my floor are broken, with an "out of order" signage hanging in front of the cabins. There are other cabins that I can use, of course, but then this situation reflects that they don't take maintenance seriously.

Design and location
It’s very loud, the staff and atmosphere is rather cold and the overall value a bit low for the price you pay.

The courtyard has a bunch of neat spots, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was cold. Location made it easy to walk to the city center in about 20-30 mins, or metro is nearby too.
They keep asking me to review if via email. Telling me about the courtyard when I checked in would have been nice, or just any information beyond “here’s your key” also would have been helpful.

Beautiful bedroom, cleaned every day with comfortable beds. Amazingly renovated factory in a very lively neighbourhood. Very nice courtyard. Beautiful location though not in the very centre.
The communal kitchen on the underground floor was awful. No equipment to cook but only a microwave, a boiler and a rice cooker. No plates, pots, forks, etc. There was only one fridge for all the guests and it was stuffed to the point it could not keep the temperature. It was smelly and disgusting. The kitchen was often dirty with leftovers on the table and flies. Also in the kitchen dogs are allowed in. The staff came across a bit rude, perhaps because they are very young and inexperienced. They are always there to tell you what you are not allowed to do, rather than making you feel comfortable. This does not mirror the extreme politeness of the written communication. There is very little help from the reception in organising your moving around the town (i.e. no map provided). The reception gives inconsistent information about the activities happening at Fabrika (wrong time of the yoga). It can be a bit noisy at night until 1 am.

the place looks very nice, it is super big and close to bars and restaurants.
the place is used for living for most of the people. it is not really a place to meet new people because most of the work during the day and live there. that’s why all lockers were occupied with stuff from people living there. it did not feel like a hostel community.

A table in the room.
Spacious room.
Sturdy beds.
The toilets were often dirty.
The restaurant's food was not good and I was not allowed to get food from outside.
The work area is too small.
The constant music in the facilities is annoying.
The push-style faucet in the shower is annoying. The water was sometimes cold.
No kitchen.
You are not allowed to bring food or any store-bought item into the common area of the hostel. You are also not allowed to eat inside the room.
You are only allowed to work with a laptop in the workspace. which consists of three tables in the common room.
The outlets around the workspace tables are out of reach. There is a lamp on the table that says workspace, but no outlets.
The left side of the bed had no guard.

This is a very popular stay in Tblisi among all kinds of travelers, and with good reason. The building is a repurposed Soviet-era sewing factory, which means everything looks very spacious with high ceilings and large windows. It's authentic flavour is leant by a Berlin-style hipster furnishing, with gorgeous street art adorning the facade and the adjoining courtyard. The facilities are top notch, including a huge lobby where you can work on your laptop, have a bite to eat, lounge with a cocktail or just lie down after a day of exploring the city. There's a breakfast hall that does an excellent buffet, serving a mixture of Georgian and more Western-oriented foods. On the courtyard opposite are various bars and restaurants as well and the little square is a popular hangout for all kinds of hipsters, artists and backpackers. It's really fun to see such a colorful mix of people and a great place to meet locals or fellow travellers. We stayed in a private room overlooking the courtyard. No complaints on the room: it was very clean and had everything you need. I would recommend bringing earplugs though, especially if you're staying during the weekend. The din & bustle outside (sometimes with live music) goes on until the small hours and mostly creates an atmospheric and cosy backdrop, but if you want to sleep before midnight you'll want something to drown the sound out. We always sleep with regular plugs brought from the drugstore and slept like babies every night. One other thing to note, Fabrika is not located in the city center but about a 30 minutes walk from either the Old Town or Rustaveli Avenue, which is a bit like the Champs d'Elysee of Tblisi. There's a metro stop (Marianishvili) about 10 minutes away and you can also take taxis which are very cheap. So don't expect to be right in the middle of town, but it's not a dealbreaker by any means.
Nothing

There was a huge amount of toilets and showers which were relatively clean. Plus there was music in the toilet room, which is a nice to have. Also the building looks good from the outside.
I don't understand the hype about this hostel. People recommended it to me but it is just a huge unpersonal place to stay, Georgia has so much more to offer concerning accomodation.
The guests in the hostel are a different kind of traveller I am used to. The majority of people doesn't say hi in the corridors, I have never experienced that in a hostel before.
It is moreover not so easy to get to know people, you really need to keep pushing and cannot just go with the flow like in other places. As the hostel is huge, there are so many people who just do their own thing.
The "common area" has so many (ridiculous) restrictions. You cannot eat a banana there and after 6pm, you cannot even do something on your laptop. You need to go to a little area with 2 or 3 Tables at the beginning of the common area 😂
The Wi-Fi was very very bad.
The beds are okay but there is really no personal space, for instance through curtains.

Very cool hostel - there is so much on offer right in Fabrika complex including great restaurants, bars and atmosphere. The breakfast available to buy at the hostel was really good. Everything was very clean and well thought out. Would recommend!

The place has a great atmosphere and it's located in a cool area. We stayed in a private room with bunkbeds for two people, it was convenient and suited are needs.
The staff rotates all the time, and some are them are very nice and helpful but others weren't very eager to help out or find solutions. One of the days hot water wasn't coming out of the shower and we had to go down to the lobby because they kept ignoring our WhatsApp messages (they tell you to use this channel). At the end, it took a while so we showered in the common ones, but when we told them about it they gave us free breakfast in exchange so it eased out the miscommunication.
