What a wonderful find! We loved staying here and can't recommend it enough to anyone. The hosts were very friendly and talked with us regarding their beautiful home and collection of musicial instruments and artefacts. The room was very comfortable and quiet and was a 10 minute car ride to the Cherbourg ferry port. Breakfast was delicious with local specialities of bread, fruit, cheese and meats. Such a delight and made our last night in France really special.
Nothing! Loved it all.

The location was ideal for our cycling holiday, with a beautiful place for a night before catching the morning ferry

The owners could not do for me. They even drove me into the main town and collected me. The breakfast is excellent and really sets you up for day. The property is very retro and incredibly interesting. It is in the countryside and nearest pub is only 2 kilometres away.
Nothing.

The kindness and warmth of the host Claire didn’t go unnoticed. Even staying in her and Philippe’s place out of season so to speak, we still had a great time.
The house is a destination in and of itself. Very Art Deco, quirkiness and full of character. I found myself noticing something different each time we came down to the dinner table and in the bedroom suite itself.
Also the choice to have dinner at the property was great. Cooking our salmon in cubes over the heated seaweed broth or soup in the middle of the table was an experience in and of itself. Also knowing the salmon was local was great too. It came with bread, potatoes and by the looks of it home made French mustard which was exquisite. We were offered salad and fruits but we indulged in the selection of local cheeses available. Claire would describe the name of the cheese and which milk it was produced from. Accompanied by a bottle of delicious wine. Of course you have to arrange in advance for confirmation to eat dinner in the property. I was very impressed as I only booked the property 48 hours in advance and had a more or less immediate response and mutual agreement for the dinner.
Also I like the fact that you aren’t obliged to eat breakfast. And there is a choice between English/Irish cooked breakfast or a local continental breakfast. We opted for the local breakfast and it suited our palate. The sheer choice of delicious jams was immense! We thoroughly enjoyed the offerings available and the convenience to be able to start the day on such a healthy and local note!
Rien!
