Staff, Armen jan can help you with any question, he also can give you advice about location of groceries, canteen, attractions.
Renovation in room also good. Bathroom in good condition and water pressure. You have a fridge and in kitchen you can find all pans/plates/forks etc.
Some people can find location a bit far from city center, for me it was good, 30 minutes of walking is not too much, at least achievable, in another case order a taxi.

Especially note that you will be met by friendly benevolent caring hosts. In any time ready to help or give an advice regarding where you can spend time ( according to your needs), also better cafes and help to organise some trips..

The place itself is good but...
DO NOT GO THERE! There were MAJOR privacy issues which made my stay overwhelmingly uncomfortable. The owner's son (who speaks english while his dad does not and who is somewhat between 18 and 25 - dunno) knocked on my door while I was having a date. He KNEW there was someone in the room, but nevertheless, he was knocking and asking if I was ok and if I needed help???!!! Like wtf???!!! When I said I did not, he stayed in front of the door and later was lingering around the room! I exited and said I do not need help, I am having sex, so he does not need to stay there waiting (for what??? See who I was with?). From that moment on, I felt like I was spied on!!! And they even entered my room at least 2 times while I was away on day trips! First I was not sure 100% ( they left the light on while I was convinced I did not light it and it turned out true) but 2nd time I was 101% sure coz I left my shoes behind the door, so whoever enters must push them (unless you know they are there and move them). When I returned from 13 hours day trip, the shoes were pushed. I can understand someone entering my room to clean or bring new towels or smth, but they did nothing of that. They were just spying on me because I brought the date in my room and THERE ARE NO POLICY AGAINST THAT!!! I checked on booking and on the other hand would never booked the acvomodation. So, not sure what was the issue! I even started contacting booking costumer support about this problem.
Very bad stay! Do not go there!!! It ruined my stay in Armenia.

the staffs are very helpful and patient, he waited me 2 hours for me to check in at 9pm, since in winter normally there was no staff after working hours, i was appreciated that
the hotel can be more cleaning and better hygiene

Very quite, nice neighborhood. The owner is super helpful. The location worked for me perfectly. Nearby you can find a huge supermarket and down the main road some restaurants. It is easy to get to the city centre by taxi or by public transportation.

I was there for 27 nights, so I can review there pretty good.
The location was pretty safe, and it's exactly located next of the biggest Yerevan city market which has everything you need.
The price is really valuable, and if you are looking for an economic staying, it's one of the best choices.
Also, a beautiful church and some other restaurants are located near to there.
Nevertheless, it's too far from city center, and it's about 1 hour if you want to walk to there.
The room was noisy, if others were talking or drinking or eating in dining room, and the door could not prevent the noises even though I asked them a quiet room before reservation and they told me it's quiet!! However, it can be fixed by some simple fixing the door and cover the down of that by something.
The breakfast was not exceptional at all.
During first days, it was significantly better than during last days. If they served omelette, you would be lucky because it's amazing. But some of their breakfast was really unacceptable and weird. Who eat some pasta made before like last night and got warm after a day? If there was some problem for preparing breakfast, I would prefer to be known and make it by myself.

They pressure you to go on their overpriced tours which are just a ride and not a proper guided tours

The hostel is ran by a lovely man who stayed up until 2.30 am when I arrived from the airport and was back the next day to cook an omelette with watermelon and Turkish coffee for breakfast. When I thought I'd lost my passport he did all he could to find it, rang friends and people who worked in the airport (I finally found it in the cafe in the airport). You can sit and chat with him also outside over a smoke. He'll tell you all the best spots to eat in the city. Really personable and friendly man, as is his wife. Speaks a little bit of English but I spoke to him all the time in Russian. He also runs tours outside the city which I'd recommend and would have taken him up on the offer if I'd have been staying here a little longer. It's a hostel and you get what you pay for, so facilities are what you'd expect. Everything else is a bonus!
Anything that you associate with a hostel. But that's what it is: a hostel.

What an amazing breakfast. Rooms are so clean and it seems you are at your home. There are several great restaurants and stores such as SAS food court and Yerevan city around this hostel and there is no need to go to the city center.
I really recommend this hostel to my Iranian and Australian friends. Enjoy your time in Yerevan at this hostel.
All good.
