Es un lugar muy bello, conectado con la naturaleza, es una casa amplia y muy acogedora. Como estar en la casa de un familiar de visita.

Unfortunately, nothing.
I tried to contact the hotel first, before writing this.
After a long drive with a lot of accidents on the road, my partner and I finally arrived to the hotel at midnight. After ringing the bell several times, a lady came out and told us the place was fully booked.
We then had to look for another hotel, but because it was weekend, all the hotels we tried were full. We ended up sleeping in a sex motel. AWEFUL, horrible experience. We were very dissappointed because the reviews looked so good and the pictures as well.
Unfortunately, after waiting a few days, the hotel didn't respond to my nicely written messages.

My stay at El Lugar was fantastic! The hosts were really nice, welcoming and took care of my every need. The food at the restaurant was DELICIOUS (Danish cuisine) and very fresh. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was really comfortable and the linens soft. You can tell that Nora and Juergen put a lot of effort into this Boutique Hotel and I would recommend it hands down! 10/10
It was a bit hard to find but the location is beautiful with lots of green areas and wildlife!

the service, and the attention from the owners

This place was perfect for our needs. We had to spend one night before continuing our roadtrip, and we wished we had stayed more. The place is amazing. The owners are very kind and always ready to help. We stayed with our dog and they were super helpful and patient helping our dog adjust to the place and to their 3 dogs. We had a fantastic time, very quiet and tha house itself has plenty of spaces to enjoy down time. The restaurant was very good, food was delicious. Highly recommended!!!
Keep in mind that, eventhough is a pet friendly place, there is an additional charge for your pet.
Perhaps there could be a bit more options for snacks while in the hotel.

The grounds are pretty and the food ordered from the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. However, the breakfasts that came with the price of the room were uninspired. Toast, butter, jam, and weak coffee were the staples. Most days also included a cheese-filled arepa and 2 small wedges of spongy cheese. Scrambled eggs were added one day; a small wedge of potato quiche another day; a small bowl of fresh fruit another day; and two slightly burned pancakes and a yummy piece of goat cheese wrapped in cranberries replaced the arepa and spongy cheese. Although orange juice was served the first day, when we asked if we might have juice on the 2nd day, we were told it was not part of the menu. Meat was not included as part of the breakfast menu even once. Bottom line: Breakfast was adequate but given the rave reviews, I expected more.
The accommodations were adequate, but unexceptional. We had a room on the lower floor (Quindio). Although multiple photos appeared to show king beds that could be separated, we were told that the room we were offered was the only room in which the bed could actually be separated, and since separate beds were a requirement for us, we took the room even though it wasn't particularly nice. While it was clean, the lighting was poor, the ceiling was not beamed like the photos of rooms shown online, and it smelled musty and dank. Although the owner emphasized that the room was free of "electromagnetic fields" (meaning it had no TV, mini-fridge, etc.) and was perfect for relaxation, a large, noisy heat pump/generator was running most of the time just outside our window, which destroyed any peace and quiet that the lack of "electromagnetic fields" might have provided.
But sadly, interactions with our hosts were the most uncomfortable part of our stay. When we arrived, for example, and learned there was no mini-fridge in the room, we asked if we might store a few items we had just purchased (a bottle of wine and 2 beers) in their fridge. Although our request was accommodated, our host told my son that this was not a hostel, that we were not to go into the kitchen to retrieve our items from the fridge, and that they would charge a corkage fee for serving the items. While they did not in fact charge a fee for serving the one beer we drank, or for bringing glasses of ice for the sparkling water we had also brought, this interaction did not make us feel welcome. Unfortunately, similar, small, unpleasant interactions occurred throughout our entire stay, making us feel unwelcome and ill at ease the whole time.
Bottom line: I don't like writing negative reviews, especially of small independently owned businesses, but I cannot recommend staying here. If you do choose to stay, be sure to stay on the 2nd floor.

Nothing to dislike. It was a perfect stay.

Imagine staying at a small hotel with a classically trained lersonal chef at your service. It has only 3 rooms and Jörn and his wife Nora could not be more attentive. The house is magnificent with impeccable guest rooms and beautiful grounds.

Nohra and Jorn are excellent hosts and made are stay very comfortable. Jorn is also a passionate cook and we very much enjoyed his cuisine and chats with both about culture and food.

This is a small boutique hotel only 3 rooms. Better known for their restaurant which is excellent. Always a friendly staff.
