About this bed and breakfast

Dip Bend Maleny is a renovated two bedroom apartment nestled well back from the road on 10 acres. Please note that although private, this apartment is attached to the main residence.

Please check our cancellation policy prior to booking with us.

Important: The booking rate is based on 2 people sharing 1 bedroom and a booking for 2 people will only have 1 bedroom available.

If you require 2 bedrooms, please book for a minimum of 3 people.

The property provides peace, quiet and lovely rural views. The apartment deck looks onto a mature fig tree and other rain-forest species and bedrooms overlook a citrus grove. Greenery is everywhere! We have endeavoured to create a welcoming, fresh, modern and tasteful environment that guests will find relaxing and reviving.

Walk up the front stairs into the tastefully furnished open plan dining, kitchen and lounge. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, gas cook-top, microwave and dishwasher. Crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle and various pots and pans for cooking are also provided. The open plan space has a reverse cycle air-conditioner to ensure guests are warm in winter, cool in summer.

Wifi is available in the apartment although the internet service is not reliable in our location. You may not be able to use streaming services or download movies due to limited data speeds. We have provided a stereo player (CD's and device compatible) and a a TV. There is also a small selection of DVDs and a DVD player. The open plan living area opens onto a verandah room and a deck at the rear of the apartment looking over the garden. There are laundry facilities off this room (tub, washer and drying racks).

The two bedrooms both have Sealy Queen sized beds, made up with fresh white cotton sheets. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan for guests comfort, although it is quite cool most evenings in Maleny. The lovely large bathroom has a rain shower and freestanding bath to soak in and we provide towels and a hairdryer for guests use.

The shared driveway and parking area is at the front of the building. There is plenty of room to park a caravan or trailer if required.

Maleny is a thriving hinterland town with plenty of cafes and unique retail offerings. Dip Bend Maleny is located around 3 km out of the Maleny town-ship. The hinterland has numerous attractions catering to a wide variety of recreational activities. Just down the road from us is the picturesque Baroon Pocket Dam with a playground, picnic and BBQ area – a lovely spot for an evening picnic dinner. Also close by is the Maleny Golf Club and Driving range, Gardners Falls, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, the Maleny Botanical Gardens and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. If food is your thing, there are a number of popular local restaurants to choose from in and around the township.

If you are planning to stay with us to attend one of the many weddings Maleny is now famous for hosting, there is a taxi service available in the area and many of the Wedding Venues operate their own shuttle bus services.

We had a lovely weekend at this accommodation. It is very cosy, very clean and had lovely surroundings. It worked well with our little toddler too! We loved heading to Australia Zoo for the day and popping back to this stay for dinner in and an early night. My only note would be that the wifi doesn't work so it’s worth having someone on the Telstra network, my Optus phone wasn’t able to be used. We also had to buy extra supplies as there wasn’t any tissues or enough toilet paper for the stay. I would stay here again.

Cottage was lovely and beautifully decorated. The two queen beds were extremely comfortable. Modern luxurious bathroom and kitchenette with everything needed. One of our highlights was sitting in the lovely sunroom with garden views and plenty of wildlife. Great location

We stayed for the weekend and really enjoyed the accommodation and area. The house is just out of town and has great views of the countryside. I would say it was better than I expected with two rooms, dinning and sitting area. Really quick to get anywhere.

First and all impressions thereafter were extremely positive. The apartment was beautifully laid out and decorated, comfortable, with all the inclusions you’d expect to see. The area is lovely and peaceful and the sunroom was lovely to kick back in, in the afternoon, with a magazine and a cuppa (or glass of wine). Jude (your host) was spot on with her suggestions on places to visit during our stay and all those there were very pleasant when passing on the property. In all we had a wonderfully relaxing stay and will be enthusiastic to recommend Dip Bend to others. The only constructive comments I could add, to the hosts, are another towel rail and/or hooks in the bathroom, a sharper set of scissors in the kitchen and some gravel in the couple of pot holes in the drive. Cheers and thank you again.

The accomodation is situated on a small, attractive rural property just outside Maleny. The apartment is just as it looks in the photos - compact, stylish and spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our stay. As a bonus, the kids made friends with Ishkar the horse!

We were in Maleny for a wedding and had a lovely stay. Dip Bend had everything we needed for 3 adults and a 5 year old. The property was spacious, with a generous bathroom, comfy beds, ample kitchen and plenty of outdoor space for our little guy to run about and say hi to the dog and horse. Very peaceful place, happy to recommend to others.

Dave and Jude's property is nestled in beautiful countryside just a 10 minute drive from the centre of Maleny. It is a beautiful cottage with all amenities supplied . The beds are comfort itself and the bathroom is beautiful. Dave was very helpful when we needed him while also ensuring we had great privacy at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dip Bend (it was hard to leave). The accommodation is very comfortable and practical. We particularly enjoyed our sleep on the comfortable beds. The kitchen and living area is well stocked and thoughtfully designed. Additionally, the surrounding property and countryside are both beautiful and peaceful. A real gem of a place to stay!

Dipend Maleny was a beautifully kept, small cottage a short drive from Maleny. Privacy, comfortable beds, lovely linen, large, modern bathroom, and adequate kitchen facilities were standouts of this. 4 adults were accommodated comfortably. Only (minor) comments are that the mat in the living area could do with a clean, a BBQ would be useful and a picnic set would be great to have picnics in the many picturesque areas around Maleny.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Dip Bend Maleny, from the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and relaxed. The apartment is clean,a great size for a small family and we just loved the orchard next to us, we enjoyed mandarins and oranges straight from the trees. The property is lovely and not a long car trip from Maleny but still quiet. We stayed in July so a bit cold overnight but otherwise we were very happy with the property and hosts.

Lovely cottage which has been totally renovated and looks brand new. Gorgeous bathroom and beautiful bed linen and towels. Light and airy. Peaceful setting do very relaxing. We saw wallabies in the garden. It was a lovely spot. Recommended.

Such a lovely cabin to stay in. My husband and I, and our two friends, were all up in Maleny to celebrate our friends' wedding. It was so nice to be so close to the town centre and the location of the wedding. Clean, tidy, easy to find, comfortable beds and an amazing new bathroom! Very easy to communicate with Dave and Jude who were very attentive and helpful. We will be back!
