About this house rental

This is a great house with a huge screen room over looking Lake Murray. It is very quite sitting on the deck enjoying the views. There is a large deck, dock, boat ramp, and shaded lawn. Canoe and kayak is included in the rate. The house was built in 2010 and includes hardwood flooring, washer, dryer, dishwasher, gas grill, and water cooler. There is one king, one queen, and two twin beds in three bedrooms.

The main attraction is that it is lake front on beautiful Lake Murray; however, many guest also stay while in town for weddings at the Southwind Acres, The Cotton Press, the Ole Oak Barn, and Southern Oaks.

We love this house! We have stayed here before and plan to again asap! It is clean and we love the huge screened-in porch. We put our boat in on their ramp right by the house. Also, the grandkids came for the 4th and loved the dock to swim and fish.

We were most comfortable with our stay. The big screened porch was lovely and offered a spectacular view. The house was well supplied with dishes, pans, towels, paper products, etc. It was excessively hot during much our visit which necessitated more time inside than we had anticipated. The AC was great, keeping us comfortable despite the 100 degree outside temp. Thank you for the attention to detail that made our visit so pleasant.

This location was perfect because it had an on site, shared boat ramp. We were able to leave our boat docked at the house and not have to worry about taking it out every night. The owner was very communicative.

2nd year renting during late Oct/early Nov. Property is inviting and relaxing. Took 15min to unpack, on the lake fishing. Rented a pontoon from folks across the lake 2 days, 15min to Food Lion, 25min to asian fusion restaurant thats better than most of its kind in myrtle beach. Access to most everything incredibly simple while maintaining that 'outta the way' feel. Will continue to reccomend to friends and family. Thank You!

This property is the “Macdaddy”!!! The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and associated necessities. No need to bring your own… The open space in the kitchen/den provides for great gathering time. The yard is large enough for kids to play yard games, while the parents enjoy chilling along the lake edge. The cove is quiet.. very little to no outside boat traffic. If you choose to vacation at this property, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Ups and downs

We really enjoyed the lake and using the properties Kayak and paddle board. The canoe needed new oars so it wasn’t really useable, The inside had everything you could need. The master bedroom mattress needs replaced. The house is spacious. The biggest draw back for us was how far everything is away from it. This could be good if you want to just relax at the lake. We are a busy family so we did the zoo, museum, Eudora farms and rented a pontoon boat. Everything pretty much involved at least a 45 minute drive. The restaurants in town weren’t great in our opinion so that involved additional driving too,

The lake house is very comfortable with a huge screened deck overlooking the lake. The location on the cove of Buffalo Creek is amazing for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. It’s really a wonderful place to stay.

Had an excellent week at Lake Murray. House was clean and communication was great. The screened in porch is incredible for reading, chatting, yoga and meals. We rented a pontoon from Fifty Fifty Watersports and enjoyed fishing in the nearby coves. This house is located on a quiet end of the lake only a quick boat ride away from the big water. Would definitely return and rent again!

Great get-a-way!

Beautiful view of the lake, with many ways to relax from lawn chairs, the boat ramp, or huge screened in porch overlooking the lake. Place was a cold upon arrival because we stayed in the winter, so the first night was a little interesting until it finally warmed up. After that, everything was good. Cabin has mostly everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would recommend planning your meals and bringing some grocery, as there are stores, but not close by. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to one day doing it again.

The house has a perfect location. Play set for kids out in the yard, a large swing overlooking the lake and of course the perfect dock to fish from. My only complaint is they could use new mattresses.

This lake house was actually a little bit nicer than I expected - nothing fancy but nice. Decor is a little outdated but it had everything we needed. It was more off the 'main roads' than I'd expected and we didn't have many neighbors around. We were in the area for a wedding and it was a cold weekend so we didn't get to enjoy any of the lake amenities nor huge back porch (which would be great in the warmer months!). A newer/more comfy couch and maybe some type of fireplace would have been nice as the living room seemed a little sparse. But again, probably most people who rent this house will be there in warmer months and won't be inside a lot. The owner was very responsive about questions. Besides the little things mentioned earlier, we enjoy family time together and slept well.

The owners were great. Very responsive to any need. The house was very clean and as described/pictured in the listing. Location was great and peaceful. To me the fact that they have a canoe and kayak for your use is extra special if you don’t bring or don’t have a boat. Another plus is the boat ramp on the property. Great location. Having the boat ramp on property was a huge perk. Dock was in good shape. Good location to boat or paddle across to Buffalo Creek Marina. Loved the screened in porch view and size. If we weren’t on the dock or water, we spent time on the porch. Kitchen had most everything we needed. Would stay here again.

This property was EXACTLY what we were looking for to treat our grandkids to a super fun vacation. The cove provided the quiet we wanted away from the big water so we could enjoy hanging in the water with no worries about boat traffic, yet we were close to the open water for skiing and tubing…. We spent quality time on the screened-in porch every evening discussing our day and planning the next days events!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for sharing your tucked away heaven!!!

Property needs some things, end tables in the living room and night stands in the bedroom. The oven was dirty and i had to clean it before i could use it. One of the large burners does not work on the stove top. Location was good and dock was nice.
