After a year, I managed to travel to Jordan again for a short rest. The relaxation was complete with a night and a day spent in Wadi Rum. Obeid and his family did everything to make us feel comfortable. They were waiting for us at the visitor center, from there we went on a jeep tour, and then we arrived at the accommodation in the evening. Our rooms were pleasant, the dinner was very delicious. We are already planning our next visit in the fall!

Guess what the wifi password is? "I love the desert".
Salim, our host, had a surprised expression when I asked him, "do you love the desert life", while he offered me tea.
I did not need his verbal answer because when got to the camp around 3:30PM, he took us to the main hall and we just relaxed, doing nothing. After non-stop visits to Pyramids, Dead Sea, Petra, this is a very welcome change of pace for us.
Ahhh..., drinking Bedouin tea and enjoy the warm (not hot) spring desert breeze and dozing off zzzzzz
I realized that my state of mind could be affected by the the surrounding sight, sound and smell, but it is mostly influenced by people, in this case my host's attitude toward life.
There are too many flies in the hall.

Great place to accommodate while visiting Wadi Rum. Hosts who are more than kind and helpful are making your experience truly fantastic. The facilities are way better than you would expect in the camp on the middle of the desert.
