It was a very last minute booking, so I didn't expect more than was stating the hotel's description on booking.com. Unfortunately, we got scammed. They have charged us way more than what was agreed on our booking.com contract. And they said it is a normal practice, they always charge more comparing to what you think is the actual price. I did not like that. The pool was in poor condition and wasn't accessible, which was a let down as we decided to stay in this particular hotel because of the pool. However after complaining about that, someone later on came to clean it up a bit. The room was fine, the A/,C was working properly, however TV was not. We had a lovely breakfast. Would I return? I don't think so. The way they handled the payment for the stay really put me off. I sent a complaint and they have never replied...

The property is basically right in the center of Las Galleras village or Main Street, but just down a quiet side street away from any noise. Very clean and very lovely hotel owner/managers who helped us find anything we needed. Hotel is also about 150 yards from harbor and beach, where we hired a boat for about $80 for the day and visited several beautiful secluded beaches- some only accessible by sea. Crystal turquoise waters and powder white sand awaited at each stop. Amazing. We drank coconut rum drinks straight from freshly chopped and opened coconuts.
We didn’t use the pool because it looked like it needed some repairs, but I prefer the ocean anyway, and it’s a two minute walk from the hotel to the beach

It is close to the beach, centrally located among good restaurants, you can go for a walk, the breakfast is simple, but it was very good, the man who attended us is very kind
It is a bit neglected, there is grass without mowing, the pool water was cloudy and a rule or standard of the hotel industry is that the sheets and towels must be white, not dark colors

Very friendly owners and big, clean rooms. The breakfast is big & fresh - eggs, fruit, avocado, toasts, coffee. The owner also lent me her hairdryer for the duration of my stay which was very appreciated!!
Water seeps into the room when it rains, which meant a few of our things on the floor of the room got wet.

Owner - mister Jan - very helpful. Room 9 very big and equipped with kitchen, day room, two balcony's, three beds, and big bathroom. Swimming pool available and clean. Very good location - to closest beach ~300m, to Rincon beach ~15km. Nearby available a lot of restaurants (the best and cheapest is in the same street - 50m away) and shops. ATM cash machine available about 700m but big extra charges. WiFi in room and other places of hotel available and fast. Calm and safety region of Dominican Republic. Included breakfast delicious (standard - eggs, fruits, bread, caffee, ham and cheese).
Everything was perfect!

location was great, walking distance to restaurants and the shore where boats leave to tour other local beaches like Playa Frontón and Rincon
Room was ok. It just had the basic amenities. No fridge in room but there is a large shared one they let us use.

Clean and modern. Nice little patio.
TV didn’t work. Had to pay in cash, as they don’t take credit cards. Would have been good to know before we went. Luckily we didn’t run out of cash.
