Mystery Garden is a place out of time, a precious place for its uniqueness. The garden is fantastic, beautiful plants, parrots, turtles and goldfish: a real oasis just a stone's throw from the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque (the most central point of the historic center of Famagusta). The best part of the experience was meeting Birsen and Mustafa, the owners and creators of this place, who made us feel like we were part of the family.
The Cypriot style breakfast is also very good!
If you are looking for the vulgarity of contemporaneity at all costs that characterizes many parts of Cyprus, stay away from this structure (and perhaps from Famagusta), you would not be able to connect with the beauty of this place.

Fantastic location with a beautiful, tranquil and paradise like garden. An oasis of calm and peace in a fantastic location. The rooms are all traditional in decor coupled with the most amazing hosts you could ever meet. We were treated like part of the family whilst there. The breakfast is traditional, home made and again faultless. We opted on one night for a traditional meal which has to be ordered the day before. Again the tastes did not disappoint, worthy of any high level restaurant. It is easy to see why such good reviews have been left.

Beautiful garden. Warm and friendly service.
Pink frilly cot in our room unecessary and took up space. We were two adults and an older teenager.

It is a paradise with the most wonderful hosts. We had so much fun on our 4 night stay. Our 2-year old got to feed the fish every morning and we had a homemade dinner in the garden on the last night. We will definitely be coming back someday.
Location is great in the old town of Gazimağusa.
Breakfast was excellent every morning.

Simple accommodation but with loads of charm. Not 5/5 as toilet / shower was outside (but just for us). Owner very nice, location very good and outside garden awesome. Good place to stay but a bit surprised at the pricing in Euros - when converted, actually VERY expensive for what it is - curious to see price evolution as xch rate is recovering from its abysmal valuation 😀
Toilet n shower outside...

Superb garden with many different types of plants and three nice tortoises. Staff really nice and keen to satisfy your needs. Location ideal to visit Famagosta/Gazimagusa.
Nothing to mention.

Wow where to start, on arrival we're met by Tamer our host, you enter this amazing garden filled with beautiful flowers, plants and trees, the lounge area was extremely quaint and so relaxing. The bedroom and bathroom are very clean and tidy. A friendly and hospitable family, I would recommend a stay here to all my friends and family and will be back later in the year.

The garden and its peacefulness are very nice. From the house you can walk easily into Famagusta and enjoy the historic sites, as well as the nearby beach (Palm beach). The family that runs the guesthouse is very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely try to book this place if you are into cozy authentic stays with nice locals. My car had a problem and the owner called a repair service that came in and fixed it at a very reasonable price.
All good

Really special place with true mystery garden - it was more than an accommodation, it was like a time travel - authentic rooms, seating area etc. Hosts were friendly, even agreed to arrange breakfast earlier as we needed to leave early. Very enjoyable experience.

Great breakfast, friendly English speaking owners, fabulous garden ambience, easy to park outside, close to centre of old town and attractions.
Bathroom outside the room, clean, but still outside.

as soon as we arrived, we felt an overwhelming sense of pleasure, friendliness, bordering on love. the WHOLE FAMILY made us feel part of them. The room was beyond our expectations. As for the bed if I could steal it I would. Breakfast was perfect the eggs were to die for. Simple but sensational Turkish breakfast. Location in the old city was second to none a 5 to 10 min walk from all of the best shopping and food in the city. Thank you for your excellent hospitality see you in a few weeks.

The cordiality and sympathy of guests, the location ( central but very quiet), the very high quality of the breakfast and meals.
Absolutely nothing!

Very kind and hospitable host! There is the beautiful garden and the whole place is quite atmospheric with its own history!

Authentic historic building with a cozy stylish courtyard, located next to the old town centre within the city walls. All the furniture and other items represent the historic character. The hosts are amazing - most lovely, bright, helpful people! You are treated like a friend, not a customer.
Nothing to complain about! It's a place for those who want an authentic experience with human touch, not a 5* chain hotel stay.

The place is in the old town close to everything and still very quiet. The garden is amazing and the breakfast was very delicious.
nothing really, the rooms are not fancy, but very cozy, clean and comfortable in my opinion.

The hosts were very kind. They let me keep my bags there till evening of the day I checked out, and they even called me to let me know where to find it when they had to leave early. The breakfast was wonderful, and the garden is fantastic. The location is very good, too. It´s quiet, but it´s still close to many of the historic attractions. You don´t need a car to get here and then explore Famagusta which makes it great for people without one. The rooms are very well-decorated, too.
The only thing I didn´t like was that the bathroom was separate from the main room, but I understood completely that the owners want to preserve the original floor plan of the property since it is an historic building.

Hosts were wonderful, caring and they entertained us! Our room was quirky and unique in amazing courtyard garden. Lovely traditional breakfast in the morning. Accommodation close to Famagusta centre.
Minor inconvenience with bathroom facilities in separate outbuildings in courtyard

The hotel is family owned and the family treats you like a member of the family. The breakfast is homecooked and excellent. The courtyard is beautiful and tranquil. The location is a short walk from the town center, restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

The owners make the place unforgettable and we had a lovely chat, I tried their home made wine . The garden is a piece of art. The location is perfect!
First of all there should be very clear information that the bathroom is not in the room. While I didn’t mind, for many people it’s crucial. It is not ok to hide this information.
The mattress in my room was absolutely unacceptable. And I never complain about mattresses! It should be thrown away today people should not sleep on it. The springs are sticking out I couldn’t lie down without pain.
The room definitely needs some attention the sofa is dirty I would not put anything on it.
Guys you are lovely people but this room is not ok, it needs fresh paint and furniture. I love old stuff but it needs to be clean and comfortable to sleep!

nothing
we had to leave poor bedroom not clean and mattress not fit for purpose
2.0 / 5.0
Location was pretty because of the garden. Breakfast came only at 9.30 h, although it was from 9-10 h
Our room was in a middle of rubbish: buckets, leathers, garden-tools. Regarding all this the pricing was too high.
