It has a beautiful roof terrace and the staff was great!
Our bathroom stayed wet because the shower leaked. It was so hot I didn’t care but my friend did.

The hotel has nice communal spaces. Cheap
The double room with fan is a box room, very very small. My boyfriend is 6’2’’ and he couldn’t stand up straight. The room was very hot as the fan did not do much. The area is close to the center but some of the streets on the way there are a bit dodgy.

The staff is really awesome, is well located and is beautiful. Has a lot of potential.

Friendly staff. Very helpful. Bathroom is clean and large. Common areas are clean. Each bed has its own fan which is great.
The place is certainly more run down than the pictures suggest. The mattresses are old and sag in the middle. The sheets are old and thin and the ones on my bed had stains. There are more beds in the room than on the pictures. I was in a dorm with 12 beds. They are 3 beds high and the top beds are very hard to climb up to. The room is dark and pokey with not much fresh air.

The staff was very friendly. It was close to the historical centre of Santa Marta. There was a very cute little balcony and a really nice rooftop with a pool and a bar. During the day there was no one there and we enjoyed the breeze.
The area was a little sketchy, there was a kid who followed us around begging for money and many people in general who were asking for food. It was also very noisy from the street at times. The floors in our room were quite dirty and there were some stains on the sheets and towels.

La Bella Samaria is super well located, 2 blocks walking to parque de los novios and city center, 4 block to the downtown beach. There are many bares, restaurants, museums, fairs and local businesses. 10/10 location. In regards of the place itself it is beautiful and colorful, the terrace is a great place to drink some beers listen to music and enjoy the jacuzzi. We stayed in 4 different rooms and all of them were fine. We loved the one with balcony “La Guajira”. The kitchen was useful as well.
Some of the staff doesn’t know how to provide information or recommendations, some did not even talk to us more and a “yes” “no” or “I don’t know” The cleaning lady was super sweet and friendly, also the morning receptionist help us booking the whole week in different rooms.

Well located, 2 blocks from parque de los novios and Malecón. Clean and comfortable. The pool at the rooftop is a plus and the rooftop itself is a nice and quiet place to spend some time. The room was clean and perfect for a couple. We also use the kitchen and was super helpful.
The room does have a lot of natural air coming in so it makes it pretty hot during the day. The kitchen could be better organized.

The Hostal is convieniently located and a few blocks from the plazas, restaurants, and main sights and activities. There is breakfast available at the roof top bar in the morning and a pool which has the size of a hot tub. Staff was friendly and professional. This place attracts a lot of young traveller or guests who live here for work.
The traffic noise through the neighborhood streets.

The overall atmosphere was fine, the cleaning lady was very friendly like receptionists in general and they let us store our bags while we could enter our room.
The connection with public transport everywhere is wonderful and also to the boardwalk, in the same way the proximity to the historic center makes it a beautiful place.
There was a mistake with the receptionists and they knocked on the door very hard at 3.30am Saying that we had only paid for a bed and not the room, it was a rude action and also after having told them that it was our room the receptionist of the night of the 16th returned (again) to knock very hard the door.
The drains of the private bathrooms are very bad, the shower and the sink are flooded too.

the rooftop, the location, it’s cute
my bed was right next to a window that I couldn’t close so all the dirt from the street was falling on me, it was sunny and noisy.
The dorm has lots of beds so its a little complicated to find a place to fit your bag
I felt like they exagerated the weight of my clothes for the laundry service, they don’t weight it in front of you

The hostel is really nice decorated and stylish. (But not as shiny as on the photos. Some renovations would be necessary, but still lovely) Amazing terrace on the roof top with small pool. The pool has more the size of a big whirlpool, so you cannot swim.
The guest kitchen is only open from 9.30 am - 7pm, because it is the same kitchen as they use for the "restaurant". However you are not allowed to use the restaurant kitchen equipment. There is one small area with pots and cutlery for the guests which is not very well equipped to cook, but it is possible.
