About this house rental
This classic cottage on the coveted South End has all the charm and all the updated amenities to make your stay perfect. Enjoy sweeping ocean views from the front windows while preparing meals on the huge granite counter in the completely renovated, fully stocked, kitchen. Vaulted ceilings and a bright, open plan make family sharing time and entertaining a joy.
The master has a queen bed, a large original pine floored bathroom with 2 separate vanities, large closet and jetted tub. The second bedroom has a queen and twin bunks, perfect for a family, kids or another couple. A full bath in the hall serves this room.
Start and end your days on the large front porch where you can rock while watching your family come back from the beach on the access directly across the street. Check out the sail boats on the sound from the top of the stairs. Within very close walking distance to the Oceanic, South End Surf Shop and SUNdaz café and just blocks from the very end of the island, this location is a vacation retreat come true. We enjoyed our stay so much! Everything was clean, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated! The house is right across from the beach on the South End which is a great area for surfing. The Oceanic is across the street as well and South End Surf Shop and Sundays Cafe are right down the street. We had plenty of room for our family of 4. The rental company was easy to work with. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Awesome place to stay when visiting NC. We loved being just steps away from the beach and in short driving range of everything Wilmington and Wrightsville have to offer. The unit was very clean and well decorated and stocked. Would highly recommend. Thanks!

Enjoyed everything about this property!
We have rented many properties on Wrightsville Beach and I must say Ryan's Retreat was perfect. The location was really convenient to the beach and the local coffee shop, Sundays. The property was very well maintained, clean and very well appointed. Our favorite part of the rental was the covered deck with ocean breezes and views. We will definitely visit again.

Stellar location, well stocked, beautiful upper level duplex.
We watched a rainbow over the ocean from the porch, as soon as we arrived. The door was coded so we could go right in and unpack. The kitchen was well stocked with every dish and accessory we could want. Basic seasonings were in the pantry along with starter dish soap, pods, sponge, dishtowels etc. There are two large bedrooms with linens provided and adequate storage. The washer and dryer is in the hall closet (bring along some detergent if you plan to wash clothes). The master bath with walk~in closet was huge and completely renovated. The walkway to the beach is across the street from the house, and the walkway to the sound (where we watched the sunset at night) runs along the side of the house next door. When we weren't on the beach or in the boat, we were at Tower 7 or the Oceanic eating. We had coffee on the front porch every morning. The location cannot be matched. If you are a walker or runner, this place is perfect for you. Bring your bicycles. Everyone bikes to their destinations on the island. Bring your beach towels and sunscreen. There is an outside shower downstairs. (Note:This duplex is on the second floor and there are many steps to access it.)
Ryan's Retreat is a beautiful rental and we hope to come back again. It's obvious that the hosts decorated and equipped it with their guest's comfort in mind. The representatives at Intracoastal Realty were very helpful and accommodating. Can't wait to stay there again!

Nice and comfy!
Nice little place. Worked great for our group. Parking was a challenge. Had a full size pickup and the people below us double width parked and made it extremely frustrating and hard to get a large vehicle in-and-out at times. Other than that it was great place.

We left the snow behind in VT for a month and enjoyed wonderful walks on the beach in our spring jackets. Ryan’s Retreat is perfect location right across the street from a public path onto the beach. This part of the beach is also a very popular with surfers. King Neptune’s on Thursday lunch has half price hibachi that’s delicious! The kitchen is very well stocked. Had two minor issues that were quickly taken care of when management was called. If you have no cable make sure it’s plugged into the right HDMI port! Wilmington river walk has some great restaurants and shops to visit. Also visit the NC battle ship.

House was great! Well designed and furnished. Loved the kitchen. Had a lot of gear that shows a love of cooking. wife and i truly appreciated that as we love to cook. Bathroom in master bedroom looked as though it had not been cleaned all that well. Had to do a quick clean of it. Also, due to an accident water was cut off to our side of the island. The fact we were never informed of this fact was disturbing. Nor were we informed of the post flushing of the system. Better communication is needed in events like that. Except for the above, the stay was great.

This was our second stay at Ryan's Retreat, and it was even better than the first one! The updates to the decor really enhanced the overall experience, and the house was incredibly comfy and homey. Beautiful view of the ocean from the front porch, where we enjoyed relaxing in the rocking chairs and sipping coffee. Perfect location as the beach access is directly across the street and our favorite coffee shop (Sunday's) is a block away. We will definitely be back!

Great Visit!!
Ryan's Retreat was the perfect place on Wrightsville Beach. Probably the cleanest and best stock unit on the NC coast!! That porch is a book lovers dream. Beautiful view and doesn't hurt to have a great restaurant across the street. Coming back June 2020.

This is the forth time that we have rented Ryan's Retreat. Each time has been better than the past one. The new improvements were welcomed. We drive 1200 miles from Tulsa, OK each time we stay so you know we really enjoy our time at Wrightsville Beach. One future improvement would be a king size bed in the master bedroom.
