About this villa rental
220 sq. m. house (2400 sq. ft.) with island style architecture, inside a 4000 sq. m. yard (1 acre) with a 10x6m saltwater pool. One minute walk to the beach. Within 25-35km distance to Poseidon Temple, Acropolis, Airport, Port of Pireas. 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 kitchens, 3 verandas.
The house has a greek-island style architecture. The yard is very large (4000 sq. m.) and it is full of "custom" features including a tree house for kids, a "secret" bar for adults overlooking the sea, a greek-village traditional oven, and other unique features designed and build in a personal "do-it-yourself" way rather than in an impersonal "general contractor/resort" way. The beach is within 1 min walk without the need to cross the road as there is a pedestrian underpass right behind the house.
I have three kids so there are plenty of board games, books, balls, bikes, skateboards, etc. that your kids can use. There is also a playstation 3 game console connected to a flat screen TV in the upstairs living room. You may notice a projector and a screen in the downstairs living room, if you want to use it let me know in advance to make arrangements
Other information about the location:
There are plenty of wonderful beaches along the coast between Athens and Sounio, ranking from upscale organized beaches, to charming family-style beaches with a lot of locals, to island-style, small and less-crowded ones. Many of these beaches are within 10 min drive from the house.
There are plenty of top places to eat as well, ranging from Greek-Souvlaki places to fish taverns right on the coast to more alternative cousin to upscale restaurants. Many of these places are within 10 min drive from the house. Tell me what you like and I will send you to the right place. There are also top nightlife places, ranging from beach bars to upscale clubs, most of them right on the beach/sea. Again, happy to offer suggestions.
Sight-seeing wise, visiting the temple of Poseidon at the cape of Sounio, as well as venturing to Athens for Acropolis and the myriad other sight-seeings deserves a serious consideration.
There is a bus taking you all the way to the center of Athens going north, and to the cape of Sounio going south, but I would recommend renting a car to fully explore the area.

As a family of 5 (two teens and a ten year old) we had a great time. The villa is brilliantly equipped with everything you would need (and could accommodate far more than us). It's full of character, charm and interesting features and beats a bland featureless new-build hands down. The pool is excellent, large and warm and the beach (one minute walk away) is lovely it's a mix of pebbles and sand, shelves very gradually and had a lifeguard. Gorgeous clear azure blue water it's good for swimming and snorkeling (plenty of fish too). There are a few dining options a short walk away and many, many more a short drive. This region is ideal! Only 25 minutes from both the Airport and Athens. Kostas was great in communicating with us too. We certainly plan to return.

Nice property with some noise issues
Overall we had a good summer vacation close to the ocean in a nice house including loads of games/toys and a large pool. Thanks for that!
From the description we didn't understand this would be a shared property with the owner's mother living on site. But the contact was quite pleasant and therefore not a problem.
Unfortunately the coastal road separating the property from the beach is very busy. Sitting outside, especially on the upper patio, is at all times accompanied by the sound of cars/trucks and motorcycles.
Additionally there were different parties and raves happening Thursday to Sunday each week with highly audible music and booming bass until 6 am. This of course might have been bad luck but nevertheless is worth mentioning.

Large flexible accommodation in beautiful self contained gardens.
A lovely villa, quiet in October. A car is useful for exploring as there is lots to see and do within daily travel. Clean and well appointed, though beach towels would have been useful as the beach is so handy and good for swimming. Beware the mosquitos.

Great villa
Wonderful experience. Everything was as agreed. Great garden with super nice pool. Safe and short access to beach. Suitable for families and all beach, garden and peaceful place lovers. We used bus 122 and taxis to go different places. You can order food for home delivery or walk nearby restaurants. We loved the villa.

Fab villa!
We arrived quite late at night and had no food/drink, no shops were open en route from the airport. The hosts mum was wonderful and gave us some milk, fruit and snacks. She was hospitable throughout our stay, really lovely lady. The villa is very well equipped, we didnt need anything, even washing up liquid dishwasher tablets and laundry products were supplied. Everything you need is there, it even has two kitchens. The beach is a minutes walk from the back garden, via an underpass. Its a gorgeous beach with lovely calm water when we were there. We were a group of 9 and there was plenty of room. Lots of gathering areas/ tables and chairs and a massive verandah out the back off of the main kitchen. Secret garden at the back with table and chairs overlooking the beach. We were warned that a car was advisable but we like to have time off driving when we are away. The area is lovely and very quiet but the walk to the shops isnt great, we had young children and found ourselves walking on the road a fair amount. However we knew a car was advisable and we managed to do it. The pool is gorgeous and massive. Kids were in it 8 hours a day most days. There isnt an awful lot in the local area, a couple of supermarkets and some bars/ restaurants, but this is precisely what we wanted. We ate out 4 times during our stay and never had a bad meal. Absolutely loved our stay here!! Took an hour to get to Athens on the bus too and was really cheap, bus stop is 5 minute walk.

We enjoyed a relaxing five days in this spacious, comfortable and well-appointed house. The location is extremely well located, being very close to a good beach, just a minute’s walk away via a subway under the highway.
We were given a warm welcome by Kyria Katerina, who was on hand to help but never intrusive.
Although we would normally choose to stay somewhere more remote, we were ideally situated to spend some time in Athens (45 minutes’ drive away), which we did on two occasions. Thank you, Kostas, for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Authentic Greek home with a short walk to the beach. The water is clean and the beach is not crowded. It’s a great house to stay to get away from the craziness of Athens.
We stayed for 1 week and enjoyed the beach. The kids would always finish their day at the pool and it was a short drive or 15 minute walk to the center with all the restaurants, markets, and bakeries....I would not hesitate to rent again. The owners were friendly and very accommodating.

beutiful and very convinient villa
We spend about one week with my enlarged family in this gorgeous villa. The place is authentic, fully equipped, air conditioned, and an amazing yard with many personal touches and pool. The villa is indeed located one minute walk from a beautiful quiet clean beach with the most amazing clear water. The villa is conveniently located 20 -25 minutes from the Athene airport and also from port Lavrio where you can take a ferry to Kea- a much less touristic and gorgeous island. the owners were very nice and welcoming and very responsive to our questions. We had a wonderful vacation and I highly recommend this villa which is also very suitable to vacation with kids.

GREAT TIME IN LAGONISI
We stayed three nights in the Blue Sky & Sea Villa. Everything we needed was there. The Villa is obviously somebodies home at certain times because of personal photos on the walls etc but these in no way distracted from a lovely stay and no-one bothered us at all. The description is totally accurate, swimming pool lovely & only one or two minutes to stroll to a Beach called HEAVEN. Two of our party arrived early on the first day (9am actually) and Kostas was more than happy for us to occupy the villa as there was nobody else there. We all enjoyed ourselves here and this place is a ten minute walk to the town which is full of normal bars and restaurants etc. So yes yes yes for this super Villa.
