Italian hospitality in the wilderness of Panama

Francesca was a great host. If you‘re staying in this cute air- conditioned b&b (AC is not very common in Panama) right next to a stunning endless beach, make sure you try one of the delicous home-made meals. We had a tuna steak and it tasted divine.

Nice easy stay close to the ocean in Las Lajas with an enjoyable visit with owners and great coffee!

Breakfast was great! It was a typical Panamanian breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, and eggs. The casita was exceptionally clean and bright. Massimiliano was friendly and helpful. The directions to the B&B were helpful.

Although everything at the B&B was clean and new there isn't a view of the ocean. It's not far away... there is a walking path to the ocean but not really anywhere to sit once you are there. Still the price of the lodging was quite reasonable and as we were sitting in the sun with coffee in the morning listening to the birds, it was very relaxing.

This place and the town of Las Lajas seems to be in the middle of nowhere. But after getting there I felt like I had discovered a real gem. Great beach...you'll have it almost to yourself. Incredible sunset. Wonderful hosts who are excellent cooks. I had piece of seared sesame crusted tuna that would have cost me $35‐$40 back home in Louisville, KY. Here it was $18. I arrived by bus to Las Lajas and taxied to the Inn. If you arrive this way contact the hotel for the taxi driver's phone number so he can pick you up at the bus stop. One suggestion would be for the hosts to provide the taxi service's info somewhere in their listing or in the email you get after booking the reservation. The hostess is easy on the eyes as well. The couple has made a great little Inn.

Great relaxing place

Beach a short walk. Dinners were great and highly recommended. Breakfasts very good. Quiet.. not a party place.

Additional chairs or sofa in the cabina and games for the common area would be nice.

Such a nice place to stay!

Excellent host that speaks Italian, Spanish and English. Perfectly clean and private cabin with no shared walls with neighbors. It's a very short and easy walk to the beach.

Having no car, I found it difficult to have all my needs met at this lovely hotel. This is absolutely not the fault of the hosts, but with mentioning to other travelers. There aren't any shopping or dining options within walking distance. There was a bit of construction happening during my stay, but that's a temporary situation.

The host Eddy is terrific! Comfortable beds.

No AC. Poorly designed bathroom, commode to close the wall in front of it. Had to sit on it sideways! Especially tough with a handicap. No signage to direct the guest when arriving in Alemirante…

very clean room & beautiful garden. good breakfast. the hosts were very nice. they provided excellent dinner with very reasonable prices. the lobster was my favourite. beach is 1 minute walk from this hotel. Very beautiful and peaceful beach, few people come, so we can sit by the sea and enjoy it.

we don’t have a car, so need to take a taxi. But that's not necessarily a disadvantage. Perhaps it is because it is located in a relatively remote place that it has such a peaceful beach.

Very close to the amazing las lajas beach (by foot about one minute). The property is located in a very quiet and peacful neighbourhood. It also has a beautiful garden and a nice terrace. Breakfast and dinner was very delicious and made with love (big thanks to Francesca and Massimiliano). The rooms are nicely furnished, extremly clean and in a very good condition. We felt at home from the beginning and extended our stay from two to four nights.

Quiet place, awesome hosts, nice rooms!

The room was very comfortable, clean, dry (!!) and with lots of space for all our luggage. Definately one of the best apartements we had in Panama so far. The hosts are from Italy, extremely friendly and open and served awesome food (try the Lasagne ;)), drinks (try the Aperol ;)) and coffee. The house/garden is very nice and only a few meters away from the beach. Las Lajas is a small, very quiet village and B&B Le Villette is a great place for 2 or 3 nights.

Friendly hosts, amazing location and welcoming hosts :)

Amazing breakfast, with eggs, yoghurt and local fruit. Ezio and Erica were lovely and on hand to help us with anything. The B&B is in a great location and is only 2 minutes walk from the beach. It was a very relaxing stay, I just wished we could've stayed longer!

Quite a few bugs around, but it's the time of year and nothing to do with the property itself.

We had Diner served by them, It could not have been better, same with breakfast. Beach is just a few meters away, easy walk. We would definetly stay here again.

The best!

Why, oh why didn’t I discover this sooner - it could have been at least 4-5 nights of magic, instead of just one. Super secluded location, hosts that go out of their way to make you feel at home, they cook so tasty, they mix nice drinks. I want to go back!

A good remote place to relax but not many services nearby. No nearby facilities.

Liked proximity to the nearly deserted beach. Nice beach for long walks.

Room very basic. Air conditioner was not sufficient to cool the room in the afternoon. You definitely need a car to get there and get around. Frustrating to contact restaurants, noe walkable nearby.

It is beach life in Panama … adjust expectations to a more rural approach to all things and to road conditions. The casita had a incredible mattress and the AC and hot water were excellent. Very nice breakfast with good options.

The hosts were nice, our room very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Getting there was down a very bumpy rock and dirt road! You need to bring anything you might want as in drinks and food other than the included breakfast. No restaurant or bar.

Clean room , great breakfast , quiet location and just a stone's throw from a quiet beach

The breakfast was fantastic as was the hostess , Yanni . The beach that was a short walk was great , like having my own beach .

The only thing that could have been better was the road driving in but at the same time it keeps people traveling down to it to a minimum.
