Too expensive for what’s offering

The apartment was clean and the photos from Booking were accurate. Location is central, nice restaurants & bars and promenada can be easily accessed by foot.

The apartment is located at the 6th floor of a huge block building. It has a small elevator used by so many neighbours and you always need to be careful to close the inside doors when leaving it. There is also a poster at the entrance of the apartment underlining the fact that elevator’s doors should be closed, otherwise there will be a penalty of 50 eur…. When going up and down on the stairs I didn’t see this sign to any other apartment, so maybe the penalty is pretty specific… At the same number there is another apartment. Common areas: a very small lobby and a facilities room, with a washing machine. This set up was unfortunate for us because on the first night the noise made by washing machine was annoying and, worst, on the 2nd night the people from the other apartment were making huge noise (shouting, playing music loud, slamming the doors really loud) in the middle of the night… At check in the host told us that she usually requires a deposit for the apartment, but she will not require this time from us. I didn’t find this information at booking, maybe didn’t pay enough attention, but honestly the apartment was really overpriced as offering the minimal, so no deposits or penalties were justified.

Our stay was comfortable. Place was mostly clean. We were not happy with the intrusion of the host, especially at 10:30

the property was modern and had a good bed and facilities. There was no blanket, so when requested the host dropped it off the next evening. The host was helpful with recommendations for the area.

The host was very nice, however expected a cash deposit of €850 on arrival. I asked her to take a block on my card, but she couldn’t so we arrived home at 10:30pm at night to find her on the doorstep wanting cash and a copy of our passports. For check out we agreed to meet back at the apartment at 12:30. I went for lunch and came back to find the host already in the apartment going through it, with my bags and handbag left in there. No message from her to say she was there or could she enter. This was so unacceptable. You don’t just access the room without the person who’s hired it. i had left my packed handbag, passport and luggage in the place unlocked because I thought it was safe and I would be back to meet her. I paid a cleaning fee for this place, yet when I was asking for my cash bond back she was going around checking I had cleaned all the dishes etc. well, I always clean and strip the beds anyway, but regardless there was no damage I should have been given my money right away. Apparently booking through air bnb means you don’t have to carry this large amount of cash for a bond, so booking.com should find another way to insure their bookings. it’s not exactly the town you want to walk around with that much cash in your wallet.

Absolute BEST Getaway location to explore Amalfi, Positano and Pompeii

Great location, stunning sunset views! Spacious apartment equipped with all you need. Host is super professional and very nice with great tips for wining, dining, and getting around. Last but not least: impeccable hygiene!

Beautiful place! beware of the fine print.

The apartment is amazing. Nicely equipped, close to restaurants, great base to explore the area

omg the deposit. The owner wanted a deposit in cash of nearly the same amount of the stay. That is super inconvenient. Booking should sort this out before the guests arrives . They have my credit card! If something is broken, just charged it or better: get insurance!!

Great stay - great location!

Great location! Beautiful appartment on the 6th floor with direct view to the sea. Modern equipment, very clean. Enough space for a family with 2 kids! Literally only 2mins to the train-station of the Circumvesuviana, which brings you to Pompei, Sorrento, Naples, Vesuv in a good frequency at a very low price. Overall the appartment is very much recommended!

Cosy, beautifull, very convienent.

Very cozy apartment with a lot of light, beautifull balcony with a seaview and the sunsets. Very clean, has everything necessary for a stay: equipped kitchen, spacious shower, washing machine, air conditioning. Perfect location to discover the area - few steps from the Circumvesuviana train station, which takes you to Naples, Pompei, Sorrento, you name it. The cable car to Monte Faito is few steps away from the train station. The port is 10 min away, where you can catch a ferry to Sorrento & Capri. Even so close to the train station the apartment is very quiet. I enjoyed it very much!

Amazing stay at Shabby Chic in Castellammare di Stabia

The apartment was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The location was amazing too, next to the train station and cable car. The host was super friendly and went out of her way to provide us with all the good tips. We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent place to stay

Location : in very busy area with everything close by (restaurants / sea / shops, but still a calm apartment. Host is superfriendly and very helpfull! If we would have had a freezer in the kitchen, I would have given a 10! 😉

If you drive a smaller car I would recommend the private garage close by. If you drive a big car however - better to park on the little square in front of the apartment

Superb

The apartment is very spacious and well cut. It was very clean and has a very good location right on a small square opposite the train station. Despite the direct proximity to the station it is quite quiet. We did not mind the occasional trains. From the really very nice balcony you have a nice view to the sea. Everything is very easy to reach from Castellamare, we made trips to Sorrent, Positano, Capri, Pompeii and Naples. Directly opposite to the house, where the apartment is located, is a tourist information, which was very helpful too. Marilin is a friendly host, who has worked to solve the small issues, that occurred during our nearly 14-day stay. She was always very easy to reach. We would come again to this nice appartment!

Nothing fundamental .... There were a few problems because the description on booking.com was not quite correct. But this has been corrected by Marilin now. There is no breakfast buffet, this was a note that was wrong. You have to prepare the breakfast yourself. Marilin gets some food for it. We should also pay a cleaning fee, which was not previously mentioned.

Great place to stay to tour the Amalfi area by train or car.

Right beside the train station, so great for touring around. High up in apartment block so fairly quiet. Lots of space. Clean. Little cafe/bar in the square outside. Street parking available.

Castellammare is not really a tourist town, but it is a great base to stay in if you want to see other places from Naples to Sorrento without having to drive too far any day - and the train next door to this apartment means you don't have to drive at all to lots of tourist spots.
