It’s a pleasant, warm and inviting place to stay.

The location is good, directly on the seafront. It was extremely clean throughout. The room was warm. It was homely. It was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was very good. It feels much more like a B&B, but that was Ok.

It felt like a small double bed, not a double. There wasn’t sufficient storage capacity for our things. It had no wardrobe, or cupboards or chesterdrawers.

A lovely stay in a great hotel right on the seafront. We had a lovely time.

Our room was lovely and clean with an en suite shower room and a balcony with a table and chairs to sit on overlooking the sea, which was a lovely surprise. The bed was lovely and comfy and the breakfast was delicious. Our host looked after us really well and nothing was too much trouble for her. She made us feel very welcome.

Lovely seafront property. Rooms were very comfortable. Hotel was clean & welcoming. Good breakfast too!

Stairs were challenging for my 87 year old mother in law.

Classic seaside hotel experience

Very pleasant stay in a good location, just beyond the busiest part of town but with some great local bars and attractions nearby. Check-in process and reception area were quite old-school, but refreshingly so in our case (it is Margate, after all!). We were on the top floor, didn't have a sea view but our room was spacious and comfortable. Skipped breakfast so can't comment on the quality. Would certainly stay here again.

Bathroom was small but nothing egregious.

Lovely boutique, clean and friendly 2 star hotel, in a great location.

Very clean, friendly hotel. Great breakfast, catered for vegetarian. For a 2* hotel, this is exceptional. Easy to walk into Margete (c15 mins to centre of Margaret sea front)

Nothing really. Would be nice to have decaf coffee as well in the room, however they did have decaf coffee for breakfast.

Enjoyed our stay at the Sherwood hotel.

Lovely stay at the Sherwood, didn't book a sea view however the room was nice, clean and quite spacious. Enjoyed a good breakfast. It was a only a few minutes walk to the main areas in Margate but obviously on the main sea front road. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you were staying in Margate for a couple of days.

Exactly what you'd expect, very clean and perfect for that budget.

Lovely friendly welcome from the owner who also kindly accepted our early check-in and took the pain to say hi at breakfast to check if we were happy. Very clean and well maintained place, perfectly located for our needs (we attended a wedding at the nearby Turner building). The bed was very comfortable and the bedding of good quality. Not noisy at all, and very very clean BnB. Excellent shower too. Could park nearby easily. Altogether meeting expectations.

We paid extra for breakfast and I wish we hadn't bothered, as the quality of cooking was very low, and the breakfast room super noisy - not from other guests, but from the large TV that was competing with the cook's very loud radio.

Hotel was clean and well situated. Could have armchairs in the room. Had difficulty with the tv.

Right opposite beach. Very clean room and bathroom. Seaview. Friendly helpful staff. Good English breakfast.

Pillows could be more plump. Furniture very flimsy.
