A great experience and two nights wasn’t long enough.

Lovely views of the sea and in the green jungle. The host Alanka was great and cooked a delicious tuna fish dinner for us. Room is big with its own balcony and upstairs on the top veranda you can get a drink and breakfast. Lovely breeze. It’s laid back but runs well. Also we got to see and feed and swim around wild turtles. Really helpful in suggesting the best way to do things. Silent beach is very beautiful and quiet but the waves very strong making swimming quite an experience! There’s another bay that’s quieter nearby and both have beach cafes with delicious locally caught seafood.

Perfect place to enjoy the paradaise

I couldn’t be happier with my time in amour surf. This place is the perfect spot for enjoy the paradaise!! Location: the place is located in front of an amazing surf beach. You can also walk to other beautiful beaches if you aren’t a surfer. All of them are not busy beaches and super virgin which make it even better. The place: very new and clean place. The AC works perfect and we didn’t had any problem with any of the facilities. The breakfast and dinner are served on the rooftop with an ocean view and hearing. The food: breakfast was amazing and with a lot of food for start the day. The dinner is made out of fresh fish with a lot of local ingredients. 10/10 The people: Alanka is the most helpful host I ever had. He’s super nice and will help you with anything you want. The experience started to be amazing before we arrived. We had an amazing experience and we will be coming back for sure.

An amazing location in Tangalle, near beautiful beaches. the view from the breakfast place is just wow! Alanka, the owner is very helpful, kind and beautiful person! thanks a million for everything! We advise to go to eat to Silent Beach. it’s a small beach restaurent (left side when you go down to the Silent beach). Mariha is cooking extremely well, everything is delicious!

Nice room, great location

The room was very comfortable with a nice balcony looking out into the surrounding scenery. The host was really friendly and makes a beautiful breakfast on the top deck with a view out into the bay. The air con works great, warm showers were great. You’re walking distance to both of the pretty beaches in this area.

Nice place for a quite and relaxing stay

The hotel is in a quite area, and you have a really nice view especially from the roof terrace where they also serve the breakfast. The breakfast was good and the hosts were really nice.

Since it is located a little bit outside town you always have to take a tuktuk to town.

amazing view, close to beaches

amour surf has a fantastic view from the balcony and even better from the roof we’re the breakfast is served. we really enjoyed our stay and the closeness to fabulous beaches like silent beach. the room was spacious and clean and the staff was very helpful with every question we had.

ned was a bit hard but that is personal preference, some may like it better this way

Very comfortable rooms with a/c. Nice rooftop restaurant with great view. Service was great and owner kindly offered to take photos for my surfing and organized a friendly surf teacher. The soup they served was tasty and wholesome as well. 5 mins walk to one of the popular beaches, and a great family run restaurant next door

Not many food options close by and food was a little pricey, though it seems to be the same througout the area

Truly amazing place!

Absolute top of the line place! All new, clean and top rooms. 100%. A wonderful roof terrace overlooking the bay, absolutely stunning. Real nice calm area, close to the very best beaches. But most of all, such an amazing guy / host running out, a truly great guy with such big heart and kindness. got sick for a few days, he took care of me like I was family! Only good vibes at Amour Surf!

Great place to stay

I had an awesome time at Amour Surf in Sri Lanka, the rooms were big, nice and clean, I was able to enjoy nice local breakfests at the rooftop with a wonderfull view over the ocean or have a drink there in the evening. Special thanks to Alanka, he is a great host who will always go an extra mile to help you enjoy your hollidays. Whenever I needed something, a tip what to visit, where to go, or if I needed a ride to some places around, Alanka had an answer and organized a car, a driver or any activities for very reasonable prices. Thank you for making this an awesome time full of enjoyable memories.

Great location for relaxing holiday.

Very nice, spacious room. With a fridge and a huge bed. Very quiet area, but very close to two beautiful beaches. Very nice roof terrace with great views. Nice restaurants close by.

A perfect place in paradise.

What a great place.. Incredible view on the beautiful bay down below. Staff is super friendly and helpfull. The food (freshly caught calamares and fish) was THE best we had during our stay in the country. The rooms are impeccable, location is amazing. Thanks so much!

Good location, there are several small but lovely beaches within a walking distance. You can also take some surf classes - the owner kindly helped to organize. There are beatiful views from the cafe which is on the top floor, you can easily spend a day there in the hammoc looking at the bay. It is a really quiet neighbourhood, perfect if you just want to relax in peace.

Lovely guesthouse. The owner is great - so friendly and helpful and helped organise surf lessons, drove me around in the tuk tuk and recommended good beaches etc. In the area. Room was big and private with good AC etc.

If you are looking for a calm and beautiful place to stay near tangalle; this is it! :-)

fantastic location, only a few minutes away from two idyllic beaches (Unakuruwa beach and Silent beach). great breakfast on the rooftop bar with a view on the Unakuruwa beach. The host is very friendly and is always ready to help. He helped us organise a snorkelling and fishing trip on a small fishers boat. The fishers took us to beautiful snorkelling locations!

The room was only available for 2 nights :-D

Okay accommodation

The location is great and beach is not far. The host is friendly and took us to a surf school called Bay tour surf school. These guys are amazing! The breakfast is okay with a nice view.

The room is quite dark cause we needed to keep the curtains closed otherwise all people can have a look in the room. No mosquito net but lots of mosquitoes in the area. We got offered a dinner in the accommodation and it was quiet expensive. There a lots of nice restaurants nearby with fair prices and good food. After all we can recommend staying for a short time.

Hidden gem in tangalle

Amazing and relaxing location next to an uncrowded surfspot, and walking distance to the best beaches in tangalle. Staff and owner are incredibly nice and very attentive. Lovely place to stay in a beautiful bay. View from the top balcony is MEGA and is actually really undersold in the photos! Also breakfast was massive, eggs, toast, fruit, etc so not sure what that post before was about… would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back in the future!

The perfect hideaway

I'm happy to support this family business. I think I was the first guest in a very long time. Wonderful view from the rooftop and close to two nice beaches. You can get a cappuccino at Aga down the road.

The temple nearby broadcasts very loudly from very early in the morning for a very long time. Evening too. I respect all religions, but prefer to worship in peace.

A one off location full of good people, good food and the best vibes.

I think this might be my favourite corner of the planet to visit. It’s a secret that only those that have been will understand. A little village where everyone knows everyone else. With secret beaches away from the resort town of Tangalle. Amour Surf has everything you need. Clean large sized rooms, friendly staff and the best host in the ever lovely Alanka. The most important and impressive aspect of Amour Surf is its perfect position looking down on a tropical beach. There is no more serene a spot I’d like to have breakfast. Literally next door the neighbour that grew up with Alanka, Bobby runs a restaurant, Break Point offering the best home cooking and freshly caught fish. And finally down on Silent Beach, Samomes Silent Point restaurant, operating out of a beached boat will blow you away with a cold beer, freshly caught and cooked fish and views that will never leave you. So to summarise, book Amour Surf, do all those things and time will pass in a way that is both slow and far too quick.
