Various activities that can be tailored to your suiting, friendly and accomodating staff, proximity to city centre via taxi, inclusive breakfast.
Special mention to Jamie (Receptionist) for her friendly service that allowed us to choose our activities accordingly thanks to her recommendations and stories. She was always checking up on us afterwards as to how was our experience: Another special mention to Tommy for accomodating/adjusting to us to ensure our unforgettable aurora hunting. He was very knowledgeable with the ways of stargazing and Aurora formation, travelled around various areas and even went out of his way by extending up to an hour to see the Aurora and bask in the moments. He also had great recommendations for taking pictures and wonderful sights for our snowmobile pathway and sunrise over the hills.
Room appears dark at times - with limited lights in the room. Stairs can be difficult at times to traverse.

The property was located on a hill above the city centre . The staff were super welcoming and very helpful.
We did the Aurora chasing on snowmobile and we got to see plenty of activity .
The ride through the Arctic forest was surreal .
I loved everything. And I plan to go back next year .

Location - This hotel is situated on top of a hill so you get great views, there is also a ski cafe restaurant 3 min walk away which is handy (as the hotel only offers breakfast and dinner, I imagine because most excursions include lunch so no need) It is also a 2 min walk away from the start of Europe's longest toboggan run (1.5km) The hotel provides sleds so you do not need to hire one.
Room - We chose to stay in a cabin that had a private sauna attached to our bathroom, this was fantastic as it was used daily, only took 20-30 mins to heat up and you can hop in the shower straight away. The room was warm, large floor to ceilings windows and a tv that you can connect your phone to to play netflix, spotify, etc
20 min ride from the airport, we booked a taxi directly online (€60 each way)
The breakfast is Finnish continental, think fruit, savoury salad options, cereal, bread, etc - The had some hot food like hashbrown/ potato type thing and eggs, bacon and sausages but nothing wet or saucy like beans. A real variety, different to other countries but there is something you can eat (read reviews of people complaining about the breakfast beforehand, its good just not US/UK type breakfast)
Booking excursions directly with the hotel was the right thing to do, easy and all activities start at the hotel (or you are transported from the hotel to the activity start point)
Excursions we did:
Reindeer sleigh - Magical, get to feed and pet reindeer, lots of photo ops, learn about reindeer etc. Sleigh ride is good fun, magical and romantic for couples !
Snowmobiles - If you can afford the extra €40pp to get your own snowmobile (like we did) I'd highly recommend, very fun.
Nothing !
This is a magical, beautiful trip. Very different to any city break or beach holiday
You feel as if you're in a winter wonderland
Just be comfortable that it is a expensive weekend but once in a lifetime

Very well located and beautifull landscape.
The price per two nights too high, as the room was very basic and not completelly equipped.

Our stay here was everything we could’ve wanted and more! The hotel is very nice and had everything we needed, including activities like snowmobiling. the location is prime - it’s close enough to the village and in a good spot to potentially see the northern lights. The staff was exceptional, as was the breakfast! The Aurora cabin itself was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for! The snowy landscape was breathtaking of course, and the design of the whole hotel compliments it well.

We stayed in the Aurora Glass Cabin, the location is great, above Saariselkä, perfect if you want to walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lapland. The room was nice, well equipped with all you need, and the views through the glass ceiling are really magical.
Staff was super helpful, we also enjoyed dinner in the hotel's restaurant and rented snow shoes from them to have a walk around.
Just to mention one thing, the shower corner doesn't really have a door so it can get a bit messy when taking a shower.

The location is just amazing! Rooms are very nice - just a bit tricky because of stairs!
Breakfast was not what I expected unfortunately. I missed porridge and some other warm dishes.

What a sight to behold. The staffs especially Nette was incredible. Super helpful and always giving us options. But the night we had there were amazing. Could not have asked for more. We booked the aurora cabin and it was the best stay ever !

The location was very good, close to the town and on the ski hill. Our activities were all nearby and barely spent on gas for our vehicle.
Staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The room was not deeply cleaned: hair between the fold-out sofa mattresses, kitchen utensils and accessories had food marks and finger prints (glassware) on them.
The shower temperature is locked to not go beyond a mild-hot temperature, so you cannot take a hot shower if you need it.
The shower pipes would shriek/make very loud and uncomfortable sounds when water pressure would increase, even slightly. Also, considering the price for rooms here, we expected nice premium toiletries (such as hand lotion) and extra towels. There were neither.
The minibar was stocked with barely any food snacks (only a small pack of nuts).
The main bed mattress/bedframe was awful. We are normal-slim size adults and the bed was sinking when we layed down due to poor boxspring/frame. There was no real mattress - only an ikea-style thick down filled cushion to sleep on.
Finally, breakfast food was quite uninspired and essentiallly the same every day.
Overall we were a bit disappointed that the value for money was not there. You pay a high price for very basic accommodations.

I would also like to note the politeness of the staff. It left a good impression
the government announced a quarantine for the new year, because of this, the hotel was forced to close the restaurant at 20.00. But people paid money that the hotel did not return. I suppose one could return at least some of it, or throw an openspace celebration. The mattresses in the beds are heavily sagged. The balcony door did not close tightly, it was very much blowing (it was -12 ° and below on the street). And for quite a lot of money, which the hotel asks for, a paid mini-bar. This is the first time I see this in decent hotels. And absolutely meager breakfasts.

Food, Location, activities, friendly guides and staff
All good, but towards December there are apparently many (British) group travelers around, also in the hotel. large groups take away some of the cozy feeling you would normally enjoy in this kind of remote place.

Location is amazing for the view, but a bit far from town and ski centre to walk. Room was nice but stairs are dangerous and a sofa bed is not ideal. Staff were lovely and helpful. The food was fine but rather samey and never very hot. Needs more seating by the bar/fire (which was not on?!)
Food was rather boring and often not very hot.

I stayed both in the Aurora Cabin and in the Glass Igloo. They are both really pretty and comfortable. The glass igloo is smaller (but it is mentioned in the description) however it has all essentials for having a good stay during a few days. For longer stays I would recommend the Aurora Cabin since it is more spacious and actually has a small but well equipped kitchen and a sauna!! We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Breakfast is delicious and abundant, and the food in general is delicious. Staff is the nicest ever and the hotel itself is really nice and well located to see the auroras.
The staff told us that there was no skiing available at the moment, however we found out that it was possible to ski in the area, just with a different provider than the one used by the hotel. We were affected by this since we had a long (ish) stay and had very little to do during the day. Had we known skiing was possible we would have gone skiing during the day.
The hotel bathrooms need to be maintained. In our cabin there were details missing/broken that could have been better.

The hotel is in a lovely area, the room we stayed (Aurora Cabin) was modern, beautiful, romantic and a little too small. The restaurant of the hotel is to die for, super friendly and helpful staff, I can only recommend it.

Friendly people, nice appartment
No pepper, salt and oil in kitchen, no clean kitchen towels, kitchen bowls do not fit in sink so it is difficult to clean properly. Bread Toaster at breakfast would be nice.

Great location, nice to watch the Northern Lights from the room,
Professional and friendly staff, great value for money
