Kuma and his wife Krishanti were so welcoming and helpful. They even helped us get our saris ready for a wedding. The food was delicious, and it was lovely to have breakfast outside while looking at the garden.

Kuma was very welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable from the first minute. He offered us a nice cup of tea after our long journey and his wife even made us traditional coconut biscuits for the Christmas breakfast :) Beautiful house and lovely people! We had a great first night in Sri Lanka and a perfect start for our holidays. Next time we'll make sure to stay at Kumas place for a longer time.

Super staff and great breakfast. The room was quality, with aircon and a TV. Everything was clean and tidy. Good bathroom, nice garden, parking available for scooter. The guesthouse is close to the beach which is quiet and good for swimming.
It is close to the train tracks, but I didnt see a train, and didnt get woken up by one either.

Kuma Villa is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the seaside and even to spot wildlife!!! Kuma and his family make you feel at home. Every day you get a wonderful and very healthy breakfast with fruits, juices, local dishes, etc.
We really enjoyed our time there 👌🏽

Kuma and his family are lovely, and his hosting is attentive without being overbearing.
Kuma is a GREAT chef, so we didn't have to think about finding restaurants, since his food is restaurant quality, for very pleasant prices. He was happy to create dishes that were not on the menu , which was cool too.
The garden is green and beautiful, where you everyday meet squirrels, and beautiful birds. Outside the building, cows walk around eating in the grass, and if you are lucky you´ll meet the local elephant Monica, out walking on it´s noon walk on the streets. We also met some cheeky fun monkeys on the roof eating fruits!
It's a couple of minutes walk to the grocery store and alcohol shop. A 3 minute walk to the beach, which has lovely water! Just walk a couple of meters out into the water, and you get white clean sand to walk on.
We asked if he could get us a guitar to rent during our stay, which he was able to do. He also arranged a taxi transfer to the airport for a very reasonable price.
The wifi was high speed, and worked perfectly during our stay.
The train track outside did not disturb us at all, since the few trains that came by during the day were gone within a couple of seconds.
We stayed at Kumas for about 12 days, and we had a lovely stay. Thank you!

Was next to the railroad but it did not bother us.

Large room and bathroom, well equiped, good breakfast, Kuma was nice
Too many small animals in the room - cockroaches, lizards, noisy because of the train all over the night, terrible dinner-pork/chicken and onion rings -never ever again

Kuma is a super host. He and his whole family (wife, son, daughter) were helpful and kind. Nothing but smiles and information when we needed help finding the beach, a restaurant, or doing our laundry. The room was also enormous! We even had our own sitting room with a sofa. Super great value for money, excellent food, totally recommend
It's kind of near the train line, but we didn't have any issues with noise
