out of hours check in possible
Rooms had mold on the ceiling and walls and smelled damp. Room was dirty, there was rubbish on the floor (lollipop sticks). At checkin breakfast was phrased to be included in the price, however it was charged at the end and rather expensive (20 mil/breakfast). Bread included in breakfast was moldy. When we mentioned it to the manager she just said „ok“, no apology etc. Very unprofessional in any hospitality. Wouldn’t recommend!

Close to the beach
The bed is comfortable
The bathroom is clean
The food is tasty
Cab service to and from hotel and the local airport.
The water is shut off at night. There is no water in the bathroom, shower, toilet or sink at night. You need to use a bucket of water to flush the toilet or wash your hands. If you have an emergency to use the bathroom you are out of luck. I think for the price charged, there should be water in the bathroom at all times. When I asked the manager about this issue, she said this isn't something that is discussed and said she does it to conserve water even though it rains almost everyday. The water was shut off even when it was raining. There needs to be a permanant solution for this issue because water is a basic necessity.
The wifi is very unreliable.
The walls in the room were dirty.
The laundry service is also unreliable. Sometimes she has too much laundry to do laundry service for the guests, sometimes she doesn't provide laundry service. You never know when your laundry will be washed. I had to handwash my own towels a couple of times.
The food is tasty but I had a severe allergic reaction to pesticides in the plantains. I personally witnessed the plaintain trees being sprayed with a lot of pesticides.
I stayed here for two weeks because it was close to the beach and eventually bought my own food to cook in the kitchen. There is a charge to use the kitchen which I wasn't informed about until checkout.
There is a curfew at night for the hotel. When I asked about a curfew I was told there was none but I went out to have drinks on a weekend night, I returned at 1am to find the doors of the hotel locked and was stuck outside for a long time until the manager finally woke up to unlock the doors for me.
Everytime the manager leaves the hotel she locks all of the hotel doors even during the day so you may be stuck outside the hotel until she returns. The guests aren't provided with a key for the hotel doors.

This hotel is the perfect place for your vacation. The room are large, cozy, clean, with bathroom inside. The hotel is located a few meters outside the town, close enough for reaching the main restaurants, airport, and harbour in 5 minutes walking, and far enough for being surrounded by nature and calm. The owner is an excellent person, that will help you to organize all your trips. She has good contacts with boat tours, taxis and restaurants (her advices are trustworth). The owner sister owns a very good restaurant 3 minutes walking from the hotel which can provide excellent breakfasts and meals. The beach is 2 minutes walking. The hotel is a good base for your vacation, because it will allows you to plan trips to the south (guachalito and termales) and north (Jurubira, Utria), and whales watching. I strongly recommend this place and I would return there without hesitations
This is not a complain, but just an advice. The hotel is brand new, and the owner is working hard to improve it. At the time of my visit the internal restaurant was not completed, yet. But do not worry, you can find excellent (and cheap!!!) meals just 2 minutes walking at the owner Sister's place!
