Nice place next to the lake.

The staff member who checked us in was lovely; very friendly and informative. The location is nice, not too far from Twizel township. The cabin we stayed in was warm, and had everything we needed. It was pretty good value for money compared to other places in the area. I like the eclectic mix of building styles.

The bed springs were a quite soft causing the mattress to dip in the middle, but really not a big deal for us, we really enjoyed our stay.

Wunderschöner Himmel vs schreckliche Badezimmer

• wunderschön am See gelegen • bei klaren Nächten kann man einen wunderschönen Sternenhimmel/ die Milchstraße sehen • die Zimmer sind schön und sauber

• an der Rezeption wird man weder über die Option fürs Internet informiert/ bzw. das Geschirr dort abzuholen ist (die Gemeinschaftsküche ist nicht ausgestattet) • die Badezimmer sind sehr veraltet und werden nicht regelmäßig geputzt (in einem Waschbecken war von Ankunft bis Abreise der gleiche Zahnpastafleck) • der Spielplatz ist veraltet und sollte etwas repariert / instandgehalten werden • das Bett war sehr unbequem (Matratze sehr durchgelegen)

Great experience, new, clean and extremely comfy rooms.

I booked a last minute room to shorten a long drive and I was really surprised about the quality. The rooms are very large and well heated, the bed is extremely comfy and everything is extremely clean and orderly. Looking forward driving through Twizel again and I will definitely stop here.

Your booking g system sucks....we left a note on booking as a late check in....and I phoned the holiday park to double check...arrive 11pm.....no key left out and our room was not a available...lucky staff helped us with a upgrade room....will never use booking.com again

Over priced for the low grade facilities. Its just camping site.

Place is little creepy. Heaters are not available in cabins apart kmart fan heater. Little overpriced for the facilities provided

Nice and spacious for a large group, very clean and tidy and ability to arrive late worked well. A well-equipped kitchen.

Couldn't contact by phone, tried several times to double check a late check in, however it all worked out in the end. The hot water didn't work, it was great in the evening but not in the morning.

I was a weary traveller looking to rest, eat, & sleep. I booked on line from Tekapo 1/2hr before they shut. It was just a cabin, no frills but warm & cozy.

Relax by the lake in Twizel

Large camping on the banks of Lake Ruataniwha, with decent facilities. I stayed alone in a bungalow that would host three, so the house was big enough for me but I can imagine some struggle with a full house. It was relatively cold when I stayed there, but the electric heater provided easily kept the place warm. Bathrooms were ok and clean. There is a small store at the entrance to the campsite for some urgent must-haves.

I struggled to get in touch with the staff while checking in - although it was already dark and after sunset, so I assume they don't normally check in guests this late. Otherwise nothing to complain about for a camping place.

playground needs a lot of maintenance and at the point of being dangerous for children. also recommend a barrier across the no entry sign where there is junk storage to stop kids entering

Small but comfortable room, very clean kitchen and shower area.

Kitchen doesn’t have any cooking utensils, no cutlery or plates. So be aware of this if you plan on staying and cooking here.

The room was a good size. Loved the night sky there with minimal light pollution.

There was no cutlery, plates, pots or pans at the main kitchen. I had to go to reception and ask about it. They had containers for 2 or 5 people that you could pay a bond for. This wasn't mentioned anywhere and not mentioned when we arrived. Staff member not very friendly about it. Although other staff members seemed nice. Could do with a sink in the room. Cleanliness of toilet block average. Shower cubicles very small. The park like setting and amenities look very tired although has the potential to be amazing.
