I think my experience to the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca would not have been complete without staying at the Las Olas. It was magnificent!
My room had a glorious view of the lake - the best of all in surrounding area.
Notwithstanding the enormous size of the room, everything was spotlessly clean. It had an amazing bathroom with hot shower, well-stocked kitchen with gas-powered oven (I could cook real meals if I wanted to), clean comfortable bed.
The design of the room and hotel in general deserves recognition - it's very different and a lot of fun to explore.
Friendly staff, held my suitcase after check-out.
Location. The hotel's advantage is also its disadvantage. It's located on top of the hill with giant stairs leading up to it. The bus transfer dropped me off at the main square and I had to drag my suit case all the way to the base of the hostel, then had to bring it up the giant stairs. Given the altitude, it was not an easy task. In addition, the relentless afternoon sun made the whole arrival and departure experience really exausting.

Le case bellissime e con un’architetta davvero particolare, confortevoli pulite grandi e con una bella stufa che permette di riscaldare in modo piacevole la casa. Staff gentilissimo disponibile e presente. Case con cucina attrezzata vista super sul lago

The entire experience was exquisite.

Gorgeous, romantic place, amazing architecture and interiors, and very sweet alpacas!

What a perfect introduction to Bolivia from Peru. The host and staff were so welcoming and the beautiful and unique rooms were a joy to stay in. So well kept we loved every minute

The space and view is just awesome! The reception reminded us to travel light when we visit Isla del Sol, and help us with luggage storage. They helped and checked the fireplace. We love the kitchen!

The entire place was unique and well taken care of.The host Martin and his team were amazingly courteous and helpful. Our villa had a lovely view with comfortable beds. The staff asked every evening if we wanted the fireplace to be lit whenever they saw us returning back to the villa. The laundry service was helpful. Martin explained the local area very well.
Kids enjoyed feeding the alpacas.
A fridge even a minifridge inside the villa would have been nice.

The room was a bit cold during the nights and early mornings.

Quirky accommodation, well maintained, considerate owner and helpful, friendly staff. close to town centre. Great to get up,close with alpacas.

What an amazing hotel. Each room / hut is different but ours had a log burner and was incredible. The staff were so helpful, even topping up the wood when it ran out and setting up the fire for us.
There are fantastic views across the bay with deck chairs just outside the room. The beds are comfortable and it is very peaceful.
It’s about a 5 minute walk to town so the location is great.
Couldn’t recommend more!

loved the quirky rooms and the incredible view. the staff were so helpful too. there’s pet lama’s wondering around too which was fun!
nothing really. it’s quite high up so walking to the property is tiring but it’s worth it for the view.

An unexpected unique and funky hostal in Copacabana. Staff were friendly, room was huge, private and very charming! I had 6 chickens for company in my patio overlooking the harbour with stunning views of Lake Titicaca. I only stayed 1 night and would recommend staying 2-3 if you have the chance. I didn’t want to leave! One of my favourite accommodations in SA!
There are a lot of stairs but I wasn’t too bothered.

The rooms/chalets were very nice and quirky, very spacious with a lovely view out over the lake for sunset. We arrived early and were let check in to our room as it was ready. The staff were friendly and helpful with everything, smiling and saying hello whenever we passed. Llamas were let roam freely around, very cool and friendly, great experience.
Our only complaint would be the maintenance that was going on at the time. I understand that this needs to be done but as we were just off a bus that morning we were trying to sleep and maintenance were using a hammer and chisel to work on the other side of our wall. But we were also allowed to check in early so we raised no issue at the time, still a fantastic place with great staff.

By far the best and most amazing room we had during our 3.5 week travel in Peru and Bolivia. The room is huge and we actually had to decide which bed to use. The views of Lake Titicaca from the balcony and two of the rooms are exceptional. Probably one of the coolest hotels I ever stayed at despite the name "HoStal"
We had a slight misunderstanding with the reception about late check out.

We had the Sultan Suite and the view was AMAZING! We also had a hot tub in our room which we enjoyed a lot. They also came to set up the fireplace for us. It was perfect: after dinner we had fire, few beers and the hot tub! No breakfast at this hotel but there is another hotel next to this one where you can have breakfast. Location is also good. Few minutes walk to the main street where you can find plenty of restaurants

very nice rooms, beautiful view, friendly staff
wifi wasn't very good in the room

Amazing views of the bay - one of the coolest rooms we have stayed in.
There are hammocks for your use both inside and outside the room.
Plenty of heating for the colder evenings.
Nothing really - there is a short walk up a hill to get there so be prepared for that.

Nice design and view

The staff is kind
You have to walk a long way up to the suite

Spacious terracotta cottage perched on a hill overlooking Lake Titicaca and the beautiful sunsets. Floor to ceiling glass, fully equipped kitchen and a huge bathroom. Can’t fault the place, even had three alpacas to keep us company!

Las Olas is amazing - I read all of the fantastic reviews and decided to spend three nights chilling here to recover from trekking around Peru! It was so much better than my expectations and they were high. Absolutely loved staying here - quirky, different and equipped with absolutely everything you need. Fabulous staff, really helpful and so friendly - would highly recommend
