Dirty and uncomfortable

Was a nice clean pleasant park.

The chalet was really dirty. Mattress was covered in urine stains, bedding was smelly. The electric fire was burning and set the fire alarm off. Shouldn't be let out in that state. Beds were really uncomfortable.

Location

Unpleasant smell. Absolutely filthy. Took 2 of us 3 hours to clean before we could live and eat there. Kettle, flakey plastic spout so not usable. Kitchenware was either well past its best, chipped or dirty. Floor took 3 attempts to clean, was getting black feet. Bedding smells, so do the spares in the wardrobe which was too full of old bedding that you couldn't use the wardrobe. Too much clutter in draws and cupboard. Dog hairs on throw on settee and bedding. Cobwebs everywhere, whoever is cleaning this place isnt doing you or your guest any favours at all. Spent money on cleaning products, candles, and throw to cover settee. Took 46 photos of this place. We came holiday to relax, not to walk into this.

the property was a bit dated but definitely good value for money. loads of cleaning products to clean it your self if you want to. beds were comfy. everything you need was there ☺️

Pleasant

Location and price, seal sanctuary down the road, beach on doorstep.

Tired contents. Loose pan handles, no can opener. Bathroom we wouldn't use shower. Boiled kettle washed at sink. Too much furniture in bedrooms. Had to walk out of toilet to bathroom or kitchen to wash hands. If it was me I'd have a clear out and buy some new utensils. I washed everything before using it.

For the price we paid we expected basic but clean

Stained bedding, floor & crockery-utensils etc had not been cleaned. Shower pull cord switch not working, but to be fair owner contacted electricians who replaced switch early next day.

Not for winter stays

Location was fine, difficult to find in the dark though

Not suitable for winter stays, was very very cold, the two electric rads didn’t heat the place. Slept in day time clothes. Got two electric shocks off the bathroom light, there was a pipe laid across the shower. I know was cheap and cheerful but not for cold weather stays, would have been cheap and cheerful for summertime. Electric was very expensive as well but that was expected.

The site was nice not a lot to do on site all close you got a good walk to the town

The chalet was not very clean for my liking when you go on holiday it should be cleaned for you they had time you could not get in the chalet till 3 a clock

The site was okay but the chalet let it's self down too cluttered.

More modern shower was not up to standard in all the for chalet for £100 a night was too much also the hot water heater over the sink was dangerous almost boiling hot.

Great location, the owner was brilliant messaged straight away soon as I booked the chalet.

Cobwebs in small bedroom a quite a few spiders rest of chalet was fine tho :)

filthy cold mouldy damp old fashioned dirty slept in beds we had to borrow sleeping bags owner hard to get hold off offered a re clean after 24 hours left a day early as couldn’t sleep as mice/ rats in cavities

The chalet was OK.

There was no lighting in the kitchen or the living room and the shower room, we had to move the map from the master bedroom into the living room. It was very cold due drafts coming through the windows. The bunk bed was very uncomfortable.

The television was nice, the fire nice and that’s about it

The kitchen door was broken. Shower door didn’t shut and bedroom not completely. Wouldn’t dream of using toaster. The mugs on the counter needed washing (we had our own). Generally damp and chilly.
