wernigerodemäßige Gemütlichkeit

Die Alte Brennerei war Ziel unserer 30-köpfigen Motorradtruppe zum diesjährigen DEKRA-Motorradtreffen in Wernigerode. Trotz des "Massenansturms" unserer Bikertruppe lief alles ruhig und professionell ab. Das Personal war immer höflich und freundlich, auch wenn`s mit den Bierrunden nicht schnell genug gehen konnte.... :-p Das Frühstück war sehr lecker in einem sehr gemütlichen Ambiente, die Zimmer in diesem altehrwürdigen Gemäuer sehr gut temperiert und auffallend bequeme Betten. Wir kommen bestimmt gern wieder mal vorbei.....

Da muß ich mir jetzt nichts rausquetschen.....

Schöne Immobilie, freundliches Personal, sehr freundlicher Frühstücksservice. Schöne Möbel und schönes Bad. Tolles TV. Lage zum "Zeitwerk/Pietsch" optimal. Prima Parkplatz.

Na die Betten kann man nicht hoch stellen , haben aber ein 2. Kopfkissen erhalten , also alles wieder gut !!

This is a wonderful place to stay near the centre of town

This hotel is ideally located and has a fabulous breakfast; the beds are sumptuous, and the rooms are clean.

My only real gripe is that I would've expected a little more of the interior decor given the cost of the rooms.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and thank the staff for their efforts and friendliness!

The breakfast included a wide range of meat slices, cheeses, jams, honey, fruit, müsli, yogurt, scrambled eggs as well as different breads and rolls, also an ample amount of coffee and different teas plus juices! I was super happy with it all. Also one can enjoy afternoon tea as well as dinners at the hotel's restaurant, with value for money choices and delicious dishes which had a great choice for vegetarians.

Nothing all was very much to my liking!

This is a very old building, my single room was small. the carpark was 200m down the road which was at extra cost. the meals were good.

Lovely hotel in a good location

Staff very friendly and efficient, room comfortable modern and clean. Food was lovely.

Nothing was bad. From an English point of view the pillows were not what we are used to though still comfortable and the breakfast is typically German, but that's what you expect

perfect place to stay in Harz

perfect location close to center train station atm and shops, staff in reception was very nice and helpful , room is perfect clean and has all you need everything was new looks like fresh renovated very beautiful

It would be nice to have few more vegan options for breakfast :)

Excellent overall experience.

The room was extremely hot, but there is not much one can do about that with the outside temperature hovering at 102° F all afternoon.

A good base to explore Wernigerode

The location, between the train station (with the steam trains) and the old town, is very good. There's a private, locked parking space a bit further down the side street. Breakfast buffet is generous, but may run out of some items before the end of breakfast time. Room facilities are good. It was really quiet during my stay, which I appreciated.

I had a single room and it was very small, with a similarly small window located high on the wall. I did feel a bit claustrophobic in there after the first couple of nights. The breakfast room gets crowded and noisy past 8:00 or 8:30, so if you enjoy having breakfast in peace you need to come down at opening time. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel's reception desk is in a small room on the side street, so you need to walk around the corner from the restaurant and find either the door on the street, or walk into the courtyard and find the other door there. And then you will likely have to ring to get someone to come. It's not particularly obvious, especially at night and even more so if you don't read German -- in that case be prepared for a bit of a puzzle.
