Wonderful breakfasts and friendly hosts

We very much enjoyed our stay - the location was close to the Museum Sonobudoyo and JL Malioboro, and had a lovely restaurant with a garden nearby (Poenokawan cafe). The fresh fruit upon arrival, bottled water, and fantastic breakfasts distinguish this stay from any other we have had in Indonesia. The hosts were very helpful both to organize laundry service and to find a print shop nearby for unexpected printing needs. The wifi was excellent, the AC was great and the room was large and comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room, however with the nearby mosques, this was really not feasible.

Housekeeping was only every 2-3 days, and as we were recovering from travellers bug, this was not quite enough.

Pleasant stay in Yogyakarta

Pleasant and clean room. Near the Sultan Palace and Taman Sari. Helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyable breakfast.

Our room was on second floor so some steps to go up but it wasn't an issue for us.

Homey stay with very friendly staf

- The staff named Mbak Yanti is a very friendly and cheerful person she have been very helpful during my stay - The location is just 500m from Titik Nol Yogyakarta which is still be reached by walking and in front of this accomodation there is a small hang out dessert shop - The room is very comfy and clean,they don't provide any TV but that's fine with me

- The room location is in the third floor and unfortunately the stair is kind of steel stair instalation with not too wide width,so if you visit there with 24inches baggage you have to prepare yourself. The room for guest is only 4 rooms,2 in 2nd floos and 2 in third floor

Other than that, it was a nice day. People were very polite and pleasant.

Pleasant staff. Friendly people. Very nice bed, good air conditioning. And privacy respected. A quiet, comfortable property.

Nobody told me that there was Wi-Fi available at the property. Which caused me to use my cellular phone. Package up entirely.Thebooking.com. Method of. Communicating with the owner though was very difficult and did not work effectively at all despite. The best intentions on? The owners and my side.

Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft für 2 Nächte in Yogyakarta

Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist echt gut. Das Zimmer war für 2 Nächte vollkommen ausreichend, die Lage ist super. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Besonders schön war auch, dass wir unser Gepäck dort bis in den späten Abend lagern konnten. Das Frühstück war top! Wir haben uns für beide Tage 2 Toast mit Omelette bestellt + Kaffee + Frucht Smoothie, war alles hervorragend 😊 Für Lunch oder Abendessen ist das Lokal „Alhabfar Resto“ zu empfehlen, befindet sich 10m hinter der Unterkunft!

Im Zimmer waren über dem Bett leider ein paar Spinnweben, die von der Decke hingen. Eine Ablagefläche im Bad wäre nicht schlecht. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten!

A friendly and comfortable place

The host are super nice, welcoming and ready to help. They put us in contact with a local driver to visit Burubudur and Prambanan temple. The room is simple, but the beds are comfortable and you basically have what you need! Also, the room is clean which is always a plus!

I would have appreciated one additional piece of furniture to be able to put smaller objects, but this is really a minor thing that did not disturb our stay at all! I’ve suggested the host to put the house rules in the room because not everybody is familiar with some aspects of it and it is important that we, as tourist, respect them!

The room was clean and quiet and the staff was super in satifing our requests. Close to Malioboro street, the Sultan Palace and Taman Sari. We recommend it for a simple and pleasent accomodation.

Relaxing retreat in Yogyakarta

Nice big room, comfortable bed, great ac, yummy breakfast served in a central outdoor dining area, kind hostess, easy access to main sites and many eating options.

Bathroom dirty for our standards but consistent with other homestays/hotels we’ve stayed at in Indonesia.

A hidden gem behind the green gate, close to touristy areas in Yogya

We had a warm welcome by the owner and her assistant. She informed us on the touristy areas around the house, and they provide a special service ..... a bike to wander around. Breakfast were superb : guava and dates juice, and fresh fruits. Maturnuwun mas, mbak dan asistan for assisting us during our trip. Keep on your great service 🙏

My friend's Aircon did not work well at first night, however they offered a replacement with a better Aircon.

Central location and friendly host with delicious homemade breakfast

The location is central. Only a few minutes walk to Malioboro Street. The property has a homely feel and has the amenities of a standard hotel. The host was super friendly and cooked us delicious breakfast.

We weren’t informed that we were on the third floor so it became a bit of a struggle carrying our luggage up and down the narrow staircase.

Homey stay close to Malioboro boulevard

The place was very homey and everyone was attentive and helpful. We liked the room and the comfy bed. Breakfast was filling (fried rice with egg or egg sandwich) and water, coffee and tea were always available. The location is great, an easy 7-minute walk to the lively Malioboro boulevard.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of noise from the street, so if you are a light sleeper maybe ask for the room facing the interior/common kitchen. Although that might not prove to be quiet either if there are guests having early breakfast. Maybe some earplugs could do the trick.

Good location, clean, would recommend

Located great! Short walk to Malioboro as well as the palace and Taman Sari. The room was clean and the owner hostess is lovely

The shower is an electrical boiler with limited capacity. Since my girlfriend always prefers long showers and wants to go first, i was left with little warm water. (Could have been better managed from my side)

absolutely recommended

Very near to all sights, super clean, staff incredibly helpful (they even woke u at 4.30am to make a fresh juice because I was leaving too early for breakfast), quiet and nice view from the top floor room.wifi was perfect and there was a kitchenette with coffee and water for everybody to use. feels like being at home, I had a wonderful sleep.

don’t search for a sign, it is a green gate- just ring!attention with bug lugagge, tough to drag it up the tight stairs

Very good

Amazing location, just a couple of minutes to Malioboro street by foot. Very tasty breakfast. There is also a water fountain to refill your bottles.

The room was not the cleanest, but it is no problem for a couple of nights.

Pleasant

-The air conditioning works perfectly. -Nice staff, very polite. -Clean room and clean bed linen. -The included breakfast is ok.

-There was a punctual water infiltration due to the rains which made us have to move the bed to the centre of the room in order to avoid them. -There were uncovered windows (no curtains) with made it hard to sleep past 6am because of the intense morning light. -There is a mosque nearby so you can hear it loudly enough as to wake you up at night.

Great!

We enjoyed our time at Omah Gerjen very much. The location is just super central, everything can be walked by foot. The breakfast was great, with freshly squeezed juices in the morning and lovely hosts. A great place to experience Yogyakarta!

Great place to stay

The fine oriental pieces around the ground floor of the main house. And the gleaming floor spells clean. The coordinator Andre is so helpful and willing to assist and speaks good English. Yati the household staff is pleasant and tries to please. I will definitely stay again in given the chance.

Thanks Bukit Vista for the wonderful stay! I love that the place is homey and quiet and that the room is bigger than expected :) Special mention also to the very kind Yati, who woke up early to make sure I can eat breakfast before heading out to my tour. Terima kasih!

The aircon in my room takes a while to get cold and the shower's temp is a bit erratic. But nonetheless, I loved my stay! :)
