Special occasion birthday with family was truly enjoyable staying at this lovely country house.

The wonderful views of surrounding hills, the deck with BBQ and comfortable lounging and dining furniture, the lounge inside with fireplace, plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to spread out with the family. Good kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, delightful grounds with many trees, herb garden and citrus trees, wildlife - birds especially.

Perhaps a few more small side plates.

we had a really lovely relaxing time for a special occasion birthday.

it is so very comfortable and functional and very well appointed. We cooked up a feast and had every Utensil that we needed. The gardens are lovely to stroll through as well. Lots of lovely places to sit and breathe the mountain air. The fireplace is wonderful too.

Magical place with amazing views and adorable cottage like home.

Beautiful property. Serene and magical wake up to gorgeous views and the sound of birds. Stuart is so accomodating and helpful. We had a small backyard wedding on one of the days of our stay and the photos and garden area was the perfect setting for a whimsical little wedding. Can’t wait to go visit again!

we had such a lovely stay with our two dogs, the house really felt like we were going home.

The house was so homely & had warming personal touches throughout. we felt like we had gone home to visit family, it was so welcoming.

we loved that our two small dogs were able to stay inside for us & that the home owners had included pet items for them too. including bowls, beds, toys & even treats.

Great holiday in a beautiful environment.

Views were amazing and food, sweets left for us were appreciated. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the peace and tranquility

Rooms upstairs were hot at night. It appears that there needs to be some maintenance on windows, doors, taps. Downstairs shower head leaks. Towels are worn and tatty.

A great 👍 place to stay for a restful visit, could recommend to friends.

The provided tea and coffee, milk and other foods were great. Driveway plants overgrown scratching our cars. Doors not closing properly and banging open during the night. The wall damaged at top of staircase due to missing gate stopper, this damaged and stopper missing prior to our arrival.

Exceptional

Recently had three excellent nights at Ruddles Retreat. Was very easy to find and very tranquil location. My little one had a great time exploring the grounds and the child-gate for the upstairs was much appreciated. We had an issue pop up and Stuart was extremely responsive and went above and beyond in looking to resolve it. Would definitely look to stay here again next time I'm in Maleny.

I love staying there and the peace and birdsong is lovely. So nice to be able to take my little dog.

I am sorry, but I slept in the downstairs bedroom and to help out I stripped the sheets off the bed when I was leaving. The mattress protector and the duvet were both stained and dirty. I was surprised but maybe the owner is not aware of this. That is the only thing I could fault.

the mattress on the queen bed upstairs was a little uncomfortable. Heating in kitchen area would be good as it gets cold in winter.

Peace and quiet for Easter.

The quiet location and beautiful views were the highlights. The thoughtful supply of Hot Cross Buns ,Easter Eggs and hìdden Maltesers were a nice surprise. The Retreat was well appointed and spotlessly clean. As we had a toddler with us the baby gate at the top of the stairs was a bonus!

Due to the generational make up of our group one adult had sole occupancy of the queen bedroom which left 3 adults sharing a room. The third single bed being a trundle was not very comfortable. It would however be suitable for a chiĺd.

The location was excellent, 5 minute drive from centre of Maleny. Beautiful views of the surrounding area. Will recommend to others to stay there.

Beautiful country house. Verandahs. Glass house. Sunrises and sunsets. Close to Montville for shopping and restaurants. Kenilworth was 40 minutes away for Beautiful cheeses.

This is as our first time back at Ruddles Retreat since 2012 having been there a couple of times before. The setting is rural with friendly cows next door, beautiful bird life, beautiful views, sunrises and sunsets, and gardens. The house is large and very comfortable. In winter the fireplace is priceless and mesmerising. The special touches of fresh fruit, milk and jube’s were special.

The front verandah rails are falling apart and need attention. We were very keen to bake bread in the bread maker and it’s lovely that the ingredients are there - but they were out of code so we didn’t make our bread.

Absolutely everything, the pure bliss of views from every windows, the extra conveniences provided by the hosts, sitting on the balconies and watching the birds and cows walk by, beautiful gardens for the kids and dog to play. Sooo relaxing... loved it.

Relaxing Ruddles Retreat

Lovely loungeroom with great fireplace and lots of timber. Beautiful decks to catch morning and afternoon sun with amazing views. Nice touches like fresh flowers, fruit and comfortable beds. Outdoor shower overlooking beautiful gardens.

The oven was a little rustic, bathroom blind difficult to close, dishwasher didn't clean items on the top shelf

Lovely, comfortable, friendly accommodation in a beautiful and convenient location.

Lovely, comfortable, house with a beautiful garden in a convenient location. Very Considerate hosts and a pet friendly environment.

Some (understandably) seldom used equipment/utensils and areas lacked regular attention and so were unclean/looked in need of attention. Examples are the some kitchen equipment, higher shelves in cupboards. Didn't lessen our enjoyment and our stay.

Relaxing break

Terrific home for a group of 4 women. Very peaceful but close enough to town if you wanted to eat out. Host obviously takes pride in ensuring our comfort.

Some guests thought the single beds were a tad hard.
