This house is in my family since the XIX century.
This was the house of the mayor and notary of the village, an old farmhouse of my parents and grandparents time who held it also as boarding house from year 1938 to 1953

This house has kept its authenticity, its soul.

## The neighborhood

The house is located in the heart of Villar d'Arene village, at the corner of the small central square with mountain views, at the Ecrin National Park gates
On the village square, there is a passage to drive in front of the house but there is also a play area for children, a ball court, a creperie with its pretty little terrace, a hotel restaurant and a small grocery store, picturesque. The newspaper shop-Café-Tabac shop as well as the sports shop are 5 minutes walk away as the Snack-Bar souvenir shop.
The Romanche river that flows below the village is famous for fishing, which you can practice in Arsine (30 minutes walk from the house) and in our mountain lakes.
A climbing school and a via ferrata with easy access and minimal difficulty are also nearby.
From the House you can easily walk for summer hikes at Lac du Pontet, Valfroide, in the Ecrins National Park, at the Refuge Alpe of Villar d'Arene, Sources of Romanche, Col d'Arsine etc ... and on skis or snowshoes to join the Nordic Area of la Meije's county during Winter.
