bed was fairly comfortable
WiFi was ok
location was good
other guests sit in the toilet/shower area instead of the common area downstairs which was weird and awkward if you wanted to brush your teeth/shower or have a big poo

The Hostel has a very welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The people working there are incredibly helpful with recommendations on what you can do in the surrounding areas. For me especially, they went above and beyond in contacting me directly after I left when I forgot something in my room and sending it to my next accomodation.

Hikers Sleep Port Guesthouse is a gem of a hostel!!! The staff are wonderful, Dan & Irfan, especially one of the owners, Marina, who is such a joy to visit with, as if I’ve known her all my life and who also gave me a brief historical facts of the 100-yr old building with the floor/doors/knobs still in their original state. they have a unique set-up, one can either stay in the dorm area or the cool & only hostel in the world that brought in “tent” style private rooms indoor, owing to owners being hikers, thus, the name of the hostel, as well. It’s smack dab in the center of Tanah Rata, a 5-minute walk to bus station, and everything you would need within a minute walk, since the town is very compact & small!!! They are also tour conduit. Love this boutique hostel because it has only maximum capacity of 42 people, much better & quieter hostel where everyone can meet one another, there are wonderful space for everyone since the lounge/dining/beautiful chilling divan area are all an open space! Thanks you for an amazing stay, Marina & staff!!!

Quirky, good location, helpful staff, quiet and super comfy bed!
There was a bit of rubbish left down the side of the bed in our room, but nothing to really worry about. The tent style room is super cute and the bed was super comfy!

The hostel was very cute and cozy with a good location.
I got severely bitten by bed bugs there, and I know for a fact I got it there because the first night I had booked the double private room with my friend and we were both fine. However, the second night (because of booking issues), we slept in the tents and I found the bed bug in the morning and later on the bites started to appear. The receptionist did not seem very surprised when I told her of the issue but they said they would take care of it. Also, I asked them to refund this second night’s stay because of this issue (only for my bed, and only for the one night), which I think is very reasonable and was denied.

Hikers Sleep Port has a really relaxed and social vibe, the staff are absolutely lovely, the place was kept perfectly clean and there was a modest breakfast of toast and jam to keep you going for the day. The cute tent set up offers a nice bit of privacy and each has its own fan and lights. It's a lovely place to relax, with tea and coffee available all day. I was sad to leave and would love to come back.
I really rate this hostel but, just to warn future travellers, I did have bed bugs in my 'tent' . However, I told the staff, they were extremely good about it, moved me to a new bed, cleaned all the bedding/mattress and my clothes and were taking the matter very seriously (closing off and cleaning other tents too). Hopefully all the hard work they're doing means it won't be a problem in future!

Really nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Bathroom was nice and the bed comfortable. At night you can hear the street, but it was fine. The host were really nice and very helpful! I would recommend staying here!

The hostel is very close to the bus terminal (a 2-minute walk). The owner is a nice and friendly lady. The hostel is clean and organized.
The room I stayed in was attic and hard to reach because there are several steep stairs. The room itself was ok. Because the mattress is so thin and has no bedframe below, you can easily feel people walking. It could be annoying when you try to fall asleep at night. The deposit of the key is 20 RM. To get your deposit back, you have to give the receptionist the receipt, your key, and the towel you have used. In addition, the receptionist was unprofessional. The price he gave me was much higher than that on Booking.com without including the tourist tax imposed by the government.

The hostel is right in the middle of the town, so it's quite convenient.
The common area is quite nice and cozy
Inside the hostel the stairs are quite challenging, specially if you're sleeping in the attic, where you have to go up ver tiny and steep stairs.
There's no privacy in the room, but I was lucky I was by myself

Nice cozy place, would recommend the tents, as they are a really cozy budget option. Great location to base your walks out of. 😊

The sleeping arrangements in the dorm room were really unique and provided great privacy! Staff were always about and able to provide help when needed!

Nice location, nice tents, nice atmosphere, clean and silent! I would come again!
Included breakfast was not good: just toast with jam. Not really filing nor healthy.
There was no space to store your luggage, so we had everything in front of the tent.

Me and my friend staying alone in the 8-bed dorm in the attic (with mattresses on the floor). Really nice! The guy at the reception helped me a lot booking my bus to Gua Musang. thank you!
The attic dorm it fine, but the emergency light in the hall is really bright and there is no door in that dorm, so… maybe a little curtain there would be an idea to block the light?

Great host who is happy to help you with anything. Lovely common area where you can get toast, coffee and tea. The tents in the dorm are great and dark even with the light on in the dorm. The hostel is close to the bus stop and really nice restaurants.

The staff is really friendly. The wifi is very stable compared to others stay.
The wood floor near the balcony is unstable, may need some maintainance.
If the water tap infront the bathroom has warm water, it would be great to wash my face in the early morning.

Staff were friendly and the place was cleaned regularly, had a nice atmosphere and was in a really great location. I thought the tents were a super novel and fun idea. Gives you some privacy and were cosy and actually really comfortable.
Only issue was the mattresses were on the ground, so you could feel the heavy footed people walking around in the morning. Wasn't a major issue though.
