We enjoyed our trip! The house was perfect! We rented a boat and spent a day on the lake. We also went to Draper’s Mercantile. Everything was wonderful.

Beautiful inside and out! Quiet peaceful place. Has everything you need, and my girls loved the big bath tub! The lake is amazing, will have to come back when it’s warmer. Definitely a place to stay even just for the weekend!

This home is great for a peaceful get-away. With the exception of one other home nearby, it's almost on its own, so it's quiet enough to enjoy the sounds of nature. A short drive took us down through a neighborhood to sit by the lake. Back at the house, it was nice to end evenings watching the bright stars from the porch. Sherry was very responsive and friendly when we had questions.

The only issue we had was the day we left our dog was out in the yard and must have gone through a tick bed as he had 100's of tiniest ticks ever and we did not notice until he was in the car with us on the way home. had to find a bath place and bath him and then take him straight to vet. Ticks were all over my husbands legs - removed about 50 once we got home. The yard should be treated for this. the home is great though.

The owner agreed to refund her portion of this stay. Please process that.

The property was clean and convenient to the lake. Property owners are very friendly and helpful. A family of deer passed through the property about three or four times a day, our daughter loved watching them.

Beautiful Location
Lakewood Lodge is located in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed all of the outdoor space including the deck, the fire pit, and yard. We had a lot of fun playing all the lawn games provided by the host. Lakewood Lodge was close enough for us to explore new places, but also removed enough that we could just enjoy the serenity of nature.

Would book again and highly recommend
The hosts were more than welcoming. They continued to check in and see if I needed anything throughout my stay. They even made sure to check in before and during an incoming snowstorm. I could not have asked for better hosts and would highly recommend staying at one of their properties. The house was clean and had everything you could need.

Much much better than I expected!
To summarize our stay in one word - Amazing!
The cabin was above my expectations. Nice and cozy. The bed on the main floor is perfect. I slept like a child! :)
Thanks a lot to the owners for this experience.
I also wanted to point out that the area around the cabin is beautiful.
Just go there and see it yourself!

Wonderful place to relax
From the moment we arrived everything exceeded our expectations!
Lakewood is in a quite setting that had everything you will need. Sherry and Jerry are available if needed but you won’t need a thing!
The cabin is well stacked, clean, quite, you can see the go above and beyond to make your stay so relaxing.
It’s a short walk to the water but such a beautiful walk you won’t mind. If needed they are always available to give you a ride.
We left our boat at their dock the entire time and also they let us keep the paddle boards we rented there too.
I truly believe if you can find fault with anything g at Lakewood then no there is no where you could be happy!!
We will definitely be back!

Relaxing stay
My family had a very nice stay at Lakewood Lodge. The beds were comfortable, the place was very clean and there were so many spots to sit and relax- the porch, the gazebo, the den, the fire pit. The proximity to Radford and Blacksburg was convenient. The owners were friendly and helpful. We'd like to go back during lake season sonetime.

Loved the log house. Decorations were beautiful. It was decorated with Christmas trees and lights. Yard was large and private. It has a great porch and deck. Would be a great summer vacation place.

Wonderful Visit
We had an amazing visit! Our cabin was incredibly clean and comfortable with wonderful views of nature! We especially enjoyed viewing the fireflies lighting up the wooded area behind the cabin in the evenings, as well as the deer munching on the apples in the orchard beside the cabin. There were goldfinches bathing in water puddles and butterflies everywhere! What a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with nature!

Quiet and relaxing
Very nice property. Well maintained and clean. This is not on the water. To get to lake you have to walk approximately. 5 miles and walk through the owners back yard. The dock needs some work, but was safe. Overall, great place to relax and not too far from shopping dining.

Lakewood Lodge
Very clean and pleasant home for our weekend visit to the area. The host was very responsive to messages, providing information on routes to Blacksburg and responding quickly when I had questions. A good value for the nightly rate, and nicely secluded with a large yard, which was good for our dog. Short walk to the lake, and 40-45 minutes to Blacksburg. Vineyards and state/federal parkland/Blue Ridge Parkway all accessible. We ventured to Grayson Highlands State Park and Chateau Morrisette vineyard -- both within an hour's drive.

Beautiful Getaway
From the moment we turned into the driveway we knew this was going to be an amazing place to stay and visit with family over Christmas. All the comforts of home and everything you could need for a magical few days. We hope to return again and again. Comfortable beds, a roaring fireplace and a jacuzzi tub all made the stay perfect. The wrap around covered porch with beautiful views was amazing. Our yorkie Gracey was welcome and loved exploring both inside and out. You will love your stay at Lakewood Cottage ❤

Excellent Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lakewood Lodge. Great location for Virginia Tech football games. The owners were wonderful to work with and we caught dozens of fish from the dock.

We loved the cabin and grounds and the owners/managers very responsive
Only would have been perfect if another bed in upstairs bedroom - like 2 full beds or 2 doubles
and the deck at lake needs TLC and I didn’t realize it was a shared dock - with other rented properties

Great cabin in the woods
We loved the cabin and the grounds were beautiful. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We only wish this little "gem" was a little closer to the water.

Had great time at Lakewood. Were there for a graduation so didn’t spend much time at the house. The time we were there was very comfortable and Sherry was more than accommodating.

An idyllic setting infused with love and care
My friend and I spent two days at Lakewood Lodge. Our mouths dropped as we took in the beauty of the house and yard which have been so lovingly created. It is breathtaking. We spent hours on the porch in rocking chairs, gazing into the koi pond, savoring lunch in the gazebo, and cooking sausages at the firepit. A luxurious bath in the jacuzzi tub capped off a perfect day!
We met Jerry, one of the owners, while walking the 1/2 mile to the dock at their home. His sincere desire to know our stay was acceptable warmed our hearts. We feel so relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you Jerry and Sherry for creating this beautiful refuge from a busy world!

Charming cabin in a wonderful location
My wife and I stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary, and we loved every minute of our stay! The cabin was very inviting and cozy, and was incredibly clean. We especially enjoyed the ability to bring our dogs, which made the weekend ever more memorable. The grounds are very well kept and secluded. We enjoyed spending time at the gravel fire pit, area gazebo and hammock. The location is truly beautiful! The lake is a brief walk away, where we enjoyed swimming and floating. Overall, I would recommend this cabin to anybody. You can tell a lot of hard work is put into keeping it in such great shape, and the owners are very kind. We will most definitely be back again.

Spectacular Gem with GREAT Privacy!
This property was everything we 'hoped' it would be, and then some!
From the Welcoming committee of beautiful Deers and Rabbits ushering you into the long private drive way ( :) )....to the overall CALMING and SERENITY of the LARGE private acreage with gorgeous huge Koi Pond and Peaceful Gazebo......Lakewood is indeed everything that the description portrayed it as!
Obviously no property gets to be this spectacular without the most spectacular, humbling and gracious Caretakers! The Owners were simply incredible in ensuring that you TRULY enjoyed the home as your own private getaway, yet giving you all the privacy you need!
The only thing that would have made it a perfect 5-star is if one had a direct view of the lake....but again, that would probably be too much of a good thing! :) .....because, Strolling down the private street for a few minutes to get to the Lake/Marina turned out to be another fantastic way to truly take in the rest of the quaint serene neighborhood!
We absolutely look forward to returning!

Beautiful and relaxing get-away
We (family of 4 and grandparents) stayed for 4 days and we all fell in love with this beautiful place. The decorations of the cabin were so adorable and it was very clean and cozy. There were plenty of activities we did during the days (visiting the Claytor lake state park, hiking to the Cascade Falls) and afterwards we would relax at the Cabin. There were plenty of things to do at the cabin and my kids were never bored. We are already looking forward to going back. Thank you Sherry and Jerry for being such wonderful hosts!

We were blessed with gorgeous weather, and could not have been happier with the cabin! Everything we needed was there, it is cozy and warm and a wonderful area for walks. The owners are lovely, we briefly met them, and felt they were there for anything that we needed. We will definitely come back! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful cabin, the gazebo and pond were my favorite places to hang out
The deer and rabbits casually hanging out on the property was awesome and the fire flies at night were so beautiful. We loved it and it was great to be able to take our dog! Owners are super friendly and helpful.
